The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, with stars stepping out for glamorous events each day. Brad Pitt hit the red carpet looking hot in a classic tux while Diane Kruger emerged in a white feathered Nina Ricci gown for the premiere of Killing Them Softly with Joshua Jackson. Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst linked up for the On the Road photocall and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet dressed up in a suit to support Kristen's big Cannes premiere. Nina, Kirsten, Diane, and More Step Out For the Very Glamorous amfAR Gala

The annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala took place at the Hotel du Cap in France yesterday. The glamorous event has occurred during the Cannes Film Festival for almost two decades and this year brought out many stars, including a L'Wren Scott-clad Julianna Margulies and her husband Keith Lieberthal, as well as Alec Baldwin and his fiancée Hilaria Thomas. Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, in Chanel, continued their red-carpet run with another appearance for the cameras after stepping out most recently for the Nights in Monaco Gala in Monte Carlo. Kirsten Dunst chose blue Louis Vuitton gown and sat with boyfriend and On the Road costar Garrett Hedlund during dinner. Milla Jovovich, who we chatted with last night at L'Oréal's bash, wore a metallic look by Atelier Versace while Kylie Minogue brought a pop of color in red. Petra Nemcova also chose the bright hue while model Doutzen Kroes went with white.

Milla Jovovich Tells Us Her Cannes Highlight During a Night With Heidi, Alec, and the Hiltons

Last night was a busy one for many celebrities at Cannes. Milla Jovovich was decked out to make the rounds, starting at the Chopard and L'Oréal bash at the Hotel Martinez. She mingled at L'Oréal with fellow brand ambassadors Luisana Lopilato and model Natasha Poly. We caught a moment with Milla at the soiree, and she spoke about what her favorite part of the festival has been. Milla said, "The last two years I brought my daughter, so it's all about getting my work done and getting back to bed to sleep with my little girl. She was all day at the beach - loves it, loves it. She met a little friend here. They're best friends now - in the whole world - after one day together." Milla and her husband Paul W. S. Anderson are the proud parents of 4-year-old Ever.

The next stop on the party agenda was de Grisogono's Glam Extravaganza at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in nearby Antibes. There, Milla caught up with celeb pals like Heidi Klum, Alec Baldwin and his fiancée Hilaria Thomas, Adrien Brody, and the Hilton sisters. Both Nicky and Paris are making the rounds this week. Nicky, though, has her new boyfriend in town, too - we spotted her out on a dinner date with new guy James Rothschild, an English banking heir. The 2012 Cannes Film Festival opened today with the premiere of Moonrise Kingdom at the Palais des Festivals. Juror Diane Kruger was gorgeous in a pale blue gown after making an appearance this morning in a strappy Versus minidress. Eva Longoria, who is on hand with the festival's official makeup brand, L'Oréal, commanded the long red carpet in Marchesa. Jessica Chastain made her 2012 Cannes debut in white Alexander McQueen while Freida Pinto went with a pale pink strapless number. It's the beginning of more than a week of glamour in France and we're on the ground bringing you the action as it happens. Isla Fisher Has an Animated Conversation With Alec Baldwin and Chris Pine in Cannes

Dreamworks' next animated project, Rise of the Guardians, hits theaters this holiday season, but the film's starring voices Isla Fisher, Alec Baldwin, and Chris Pine were happy to talk about the film during a Q&A session with press in Cannes today. The trio are just a few of the stars in the ensemble cast, along with Hugh Jackman and Jude Law. The movie chronicles the so-called guardians - Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and more - in their fight to save the children of the world from an evil spirit, voiced by Jude. Guardians will likely be a project Isla can share with her daughters, Olive and Elula.

Alec is in France with fiancée Hilaria Thomas, and he's actually doing double-duty. In addition to press for Guardians, Alec is filming the documentary Seduced and Abandoned. He and writer-director James Toback are capturing the process involved in raising funds and selling an idea at Cannes. It seems Alec's turning his attention to film with news that 30 Rock will air its final episode next Fall in an abbreviated 13-episode season.

Penelope Cruz joined her To Rome With Love director Woody Allen for their first photocall this morning. The duo popped up, appropriately, in Rome for their a.m. press duties alongside Penelope's costars Roberto Begnini, Alec Baldwin, and Jesse Eisenberg. Alec brought along his brand-new fiancé for the trip. She tweeted yesterday, "I love Roma." Jesse, meanwhile, showed off an interesting new look, with a layered, straightened hairdo - what do you think of Jesse's updated style? Penelope, Woody, and the gang have many more interview stops to make before the film is out here in the US on June 22. It's out first, though, in Italian theaters next Friday.

To Rome With Love Trailer: Woody Allen Takes Another All-Star Cast to a Romantic City

Woody Allen has hit home runs with European-set films Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Match Point, and Midnight in Paris, but can he do it again in Italy? We'll have our answer with To Rome With Love, which follows another star-studded cast as their love lives get a little more complicated in - you guessed it - Rome. This time, the lineup includes Jesse Eisenberg as a guy who's seduced by his girlfriend's friend (Ellen Page), Penelope Cruz as an Italian prostitute, and Allen himself wearing some pants that are pulled up very high.

As with Midnight in Paris, it's obvious that the setting is going to be a major character here, which is enough of a reason for me to be enticed by the film. My only gripe is that Page seems a bit miscast as the boyfriend-stealing sexpot, but I can definitely see her and Eisenberg as a match. New Rock of Ages Trailer: Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin Hit It With Their Best Shots

The new full-length trailer is out for Rock of Ages, and guess what? It's awesome. Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, and Julianne Hough ain't looking for nothin' but a good time and between their over-the-top commitment to their roles and a little monkey named Heyman, the preview is pretty hilarious. It also gives us more insight into the plot than the original teaser, with a better look at the rest of the cast (welcome to the club, Diego Boneta.)

Aside from sharing director Adam Shankman, Rock of Ages has quite a few parallels to 2007's Hairspray. There's the newcomer trying to make it in showbiz (Boneta), young romance (Boneta and Hough), a troupe of intolerant folks (led by Catherine Zeta-Jones), and of course, lots of music. Oh, and did I mention there's even more (shirtless) Tom Cruise here? I could not be more excited to see him fill Stacee Jaxx's shoes.

Alec Baldwin is engaged to Hilaria Thomas! Hilaria stepped out in NYC today with her brand-new engagement ring on display after Alec proposed this weekend in Long Island. The 54-year-old 30 Rock star began dating Hilaria, a 28-year-old co-owner of NYC's Yoga Vida, last year. The couple haven't yet announced a wedding date in the wake of their happy news, but Alec's rep did confirm their engagement. Alec and Hilaria's marriage will be her first and Alec's second - he was previously married to actress Kim Basinger.
