Anna, Stephen, and Stars of the Small Screen Party For Nylon

Starlets were out in force last night to celebrate Nylon's special TV issue. 90210's AnnaLynne McCord and Shenae Grimes posed on the carpet, as did Melrose Place's Jenna Dewan. Anna Paquin is the magazine's cover girl, and she was the center of attention as she chatted with her fiance and True Blood costar Stephen Moyer. While his next project is the vampire movie Priest with Cam Gigandet, Stephen and Anna gave an interview appearing in the upcoming issue about their HBO show and their views on nudity and sex. Here's more:

Anna on her nude True Blood scenes: "I don’t think a naked body is particularly shocking or interesting. . . . It’s not the culture I was raised in. I was not brought up in the United States. I don’t share the [attitude] that you can have graphic violence, but - God forbid - you see someone’s nipples."
Anna on going blonde for her role: "I don’t look like a Barbie doll, and probably never will. People are incredibly literal in how they view you. You have dark hair and pale skin? You must be brooding. The second you dye your hair blonde and get a spray tan, people treat you as if you’re a bit stupider and happier. Suddenly, it’s like you’re hot and sexy."

Stephen on vampire sex: "The thing about vampirism is that it taps into a female point of view – you have an old-fashioned gentleman with manners who is a f**king killer . . . it’s an interesting duality, because in our present society it would be an odd thing for a woman to say, ‘I want my man to be physical with me.’ How, as a modern man, can you f**king work that? It’s one thing to be polite and gentle. . . . But when do you know it’s OK to crawl out of the mud and rape her [as Bill does in one scene]?. . . It’s difficult stuff for a bloke, but a vampire gets away with it. . . . I think that’s the attraction of the show – it’s looking back at a romantic time when men were men, but they were still charming."

Red Carpet Mad Men Madness, Season Two Is Almost Here!

The cast of Mad Men stepped out of the 60s and into 2008 for the red carpet season two premiere party in LA earlier this week. Gorgeous January Jones and Jon Hamm looked picture perfect together while Christina Hendricks showed off a new shade of red joined by some non costars like Kate Walsh and Ben McKenzie. If you haven't started watching this show yet, I totally recommend it as just about every critic out there. Plus, it made history with its Emmy nominations! The show is finally back this Sunday, cannot wait, I just keep watching the season two previews and reading their TCA hints of what to expect when the show returns over and over.

Third Time's the Charm For the Mad Men Cast

The cast of Mad Men was out in LA last night to premiere their third season, which starts on Aug. 16. Jon Hamm looked dapper in his Tom Ford suit posing with costar John Slattery, as January Jones smiled in blue and Christina Hendricks struck a pose solo. On the carpet, Jon opened up about how even he succumbs to modern-day advertising, while geek has a few tips for how she'd wire his character. Elisabeth Moss brought along her fiance Fred Armisen, while everyone looked excited to kick off Mad Men mania again.

Sean, Meryl and Kate Strike a Pose With Their Actor Statue

Last night the actors acknowledged themselves at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. The ladies looked marvelous and the men were relaxed on the red carpet. This show included some great laughs and the speeches were fun and after all the winners said their thanks they headed back to the press room to pose with their new trophies. Sean Penn was overlooked by the globes but not by his peers while the 30 Rock cast continued to score again and again. Alec Baldwin brought along his beautiful daughter Ireland as his date while Tina spoke about her baby girl in her speech. Meryl was shocked with her win and noted she didn't even bother to buy a dress. Kate Winslet and Slumdog Millionaire continued to score awards this season. Do you think they are going to be shoo-ins for the Oscars?
