Ben Affleck Speaks in Front of a Proud Surprise Guest
Ben Affleck took the stage at the Children Mending Hearts Gala at the House of Blues in LA last night to present the year's humanitarian award to Anderson Cooper. Before handing the mic over to Cooper, Ben spoke about the Congo, a cause close to his heart and about which he wrote for Time magazine this week. When Ben stepped off the stage, he found a special surprise waiting back at his seat — Jennifer Garner snuck in to watch him and give him kisses at the table before ducking out 20 minutes later.

While the afternoon took a noticeably somber turn as the news of Heath Ledger's tragic death spread over snowy Park City, the morning was for celebrating as Oscar nomination news came to Sundance. While a lot of the celebrities left with the end of MLK day weekend, there was still swag to be scored for some of them. I was lucky enough to stop by the Pure & Natural Celebrity Eco-Retreat and Iconix "Gift Giving For A Cause" Suite benefiting Save the Children to see all the goodies the celebrities have been snatching up as souvenirs.
Eva, Kerry, and Brittany Have a Night of Hope
Last night in LA, fabulous ladies came out for L'Oreal Paris and Harper's Bazaar's A Night of Hope party. Eva looked like a fancy valentine on the red carpet getting all cozy with cute Kerry Washington. Bella wants to know what you think of Brittany Murphy as a brunette, but overall her looks seems a little too severe.

Last night Qatar Airlines thew themselves a little party to celebrate their inaugural flight into NYC, and some celebs came out to play. It's a little odd to see Maggie & Peter with Melania & Donald -- maybe they talked babies? Meanwhile, how pretty is Andie MacDowell's daughter?

While it may not have been the big event, it certainly played host to many of our favorite young stars and starlets (but seriously, Bilson was there...inner celebration). Also, I feel dirty for saying this, but Josh Hartnett's glasses are kind of growing on me.
Dreamgirls Go Hollywood
The big LA premiere of Dreamgirls was last night. Beyonce looked like she was floating down the red carpet in her Tiffany blue gown. Lots of TV friends including the cast of Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher, and even Beyonce's girlfriends from her days with Destiny's Child came out to support them.

We are the biggest fan of a comeback but we never would have guessed that Whitney Houston would have done one so quickly. The singer dropped her bad habit and her dead beat (but hilarious husband) Bobby Brown and BAM - check her out. Ms Whitney came out for the 17th Annual Carousel of Hope Ball.
