Anna Kendrick on "Cold" Breaking Dawn Wedding, Working With Jake Gyllenhaal, and Expecting With Chace Crawford

In 50/50, Anna Kendrick plays an inexperienced young therapist who helps Joseph Gordon-Levitt's character deal with his cancer diagnosis. We sat down with the Academy Award-nominated actress in Toronto after the film earned a standing ovation at its big red-carpet premiere. Anna chatted about what it was like to take on a cancer comedy and some of her other upcoming projects like What to Expect When You're Expecting, and, of course, Breaking Dawn. Anna is excited to see the finished product since she only has a small part in the anticipated Twilight saga movie. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen Celebrate 50/50 With Anna Kendrick

The stars of 50/50 gathered at NYC's Ziegfeld Theater last night in order to toast their East Coast premiere. Seth Rogen and Joseph Gordon-Levitt posed for photos with Anna Kendrick, who wore a side-swept updo, ahead of the screening, and then reconvened afterward for a bash at the Four Seasons restaurant. It's a big month for Seth, who's rumored to be tying the knot with longtime girlfriend Lauren Miller in the coming weeks. Lauren was on hand for his latest big evening, decked out in a pink plaid dress. Joe was apparently early for the whole affair and tweeted from his car beforehand. He wrote, "Not allowed to be early to a premiere. So yeah, sitting in a parked car." His good humor was also in evidence during the film's junket up in Toronto. We caught a few minutes with the actor, and Joseph dished about The Dark Knight Rises, music, and more.

Anna Kendrick Says Working With "Open" Jake Gyllenhaal Is "Great!"

Anna Kendrick stopped by the Toronto Film Festival last week to chat about her new movie 50/50, in which she plays a young psychologist working with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. We sat down with the actress to chat about her role, the excitement of Breaking Dawn coming out soon, and working on the ensemble project What to Expect When You're Expecting alongside tons of A-list stars. Anna recently wrapped up shooting End of Watch with Jake Gyllenhaal, and the two were spotted cuddling close off hours, so we asked Anna what it was like working with the heartthrob. Here's what Anna had to say:

"[It's been] great! He is one of the most open actors I've ever worked with. The whole set was crazy, since we were basically shooting it as though it was home movies. We didn't stop shooting it; there was hardly a second between takes where somebody didn't pick up one of the hand-held cameras. We just start shooting each other, which was a completely new experience for me but really exciting."

A glowing and energetic Jennifer Garner went straight from her TIFF Butter premiere to the InStyle and HFPA bash at the Windsor Arms hotel in Toronto last night. The Tommy Hilfiger-sponsored party started late, but the stars were still eager to step inside and enjoy the festivities. Jennifer was joined by her Butter costars including Olivia Wilde and Ashley Greene, who could also celebrate the hugely hyped new Breaking Dawn trailer that debuted yesterday afternoon. Cute Adam Brody and Chace Crawford caught up inside the event after their red carpet debuts of Damsels in Distress and Peace, Love, & Misunderstanding, respectively. Anna Kendrick spent her day doing press for 50/50, during which she gushed to us about working with a few handsome costars recently - both Chace and Jake Gyllenhaal!

Jessica Chastain has been making the rounds while at TIFF, and this time she let loose with Katie Couric and Kathy Griffin. Jessica was in a black dress she actually purchased while in Toronto. Kathy stopped to chat on her way in and spoke to us about appearing on her friend Anderson Cooper's new talk show this week. On the episode Kathy stopped by Anderson's place, and last night she reciprocated with an invitation saying, "Anderson can come to my house. He's afraid to, but he can. I have a chef. He will be fed like he's never been fed before. I like to call him chubby. He will be well fed and well loved."

JGL, Seth, Anna, and Bryce's Cancer Comedy 50/50 Earns a Standing Ovation at TIFF

The ensemble cast of 50/50 had a busy Monday at the Toronto Film Festival. Bryce Dallas Howard, Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt joined forces for an afternoon press conference followed by their red carpet premiere and afterparty, where they posed with director Jonathan Levine and screenwriter Will Reiser. Bryce, who also made her debut as a producer with Restless at TIFF last week, chose shades of blue for yesterday's photo opportunities. Over the weekend, Bryce also celebrated at a Kate Spade party, thrown in her honor, where she reunited with her cast mate from The Help, Jessica Chastain. Anna is coming from work on the set of End of Watch in California, and she was recently spotted cozying up to costar Jake Gyllenhaal, though she was on her own in Toronto. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen play best friends in the film, which earned a standing ovation after its debut screening last night.

Jake Gyllenhaal hugged Anna Kendrick in close outside a Subway in California last night. Anna and Jake are currently filming End of Watch together, and perhaps their relationship is more than just a working one. Anna and Jake were joined by a few friends for a quick Labor Day trip to Vegas, and the crew stopped off for sandwiches on the way home. Jake has been linked to a handful of big names since splitting with Reese Witherspoon almost two years ago and was also spotted grabbing brunch with longtime friend Rashida Jones over the weekend. Anna has been bouncing between movie sets this Summer as she also shoots What to Expect When You're Expecting in Atlanta, and she'll be off to the Toronto Film Festival to promote 50/50 this week. Whether or not there's a romance between Anna and Jake, she certainly looks adorable cuddled up in his muscular arms.

Seth Rogen Makes Cancer-Stricken Joseph Gordon-Levitt Laugh in the 50/50 Trailer

I still think of Seth Rogen as a raunchy comedy guy, but in Funny People he showed that he can pull off understated comedy as well. In 50/50, he's revisiting the subject of a friend with cancer, only this time, he's coming from a place of personal experience. Based on his friend Will Reiser's cancer diagnosis at the age of 27, the film is produced by Rogen and written by Reiser. Rogen also stars as Kyle, the best friend of Adam (the character based on Reiser), who is played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. We see him go from a healthy young man who's shocked to find out he has a tumor to someone battling illness and its physical and mental repercussions. Adam has help in the form of his supportive and yes, funny, friend Kyle and a youthful therapist played by Anna Kendrick.

Despite the delicate theme, it looks like Rogen and co. have hit just the right balance; it seems funny but restrained, and objective about Adam's diagnosis while neither downplaying it nor manipulating the audience. I think Gordon-Levitt was the perfect casting choice for Adam, since the actor has the chops for a meaty role like this, and he's able to play straight man to Rogen's sense of humor. Blake, Anna, Amy, and More Get Gorgeous at the Time 100 Gala

Blake Lively and her new red hair made a splash among the many famous faces at the annual Time 100 gala in NYC last night. Blake, Amy Poehler, and Anna Kendrick were just some of the ladies who stepped out for the party, which celebrates Time's list of the most influential people in the world. Blake wore a sexy gown by Zuhair Murad Couture while Anna went with a simple, sexy LBD now that she's hung up her casual Breaking Dawn wardrobe. Amy met up with her funny pals Aziz Ansari and Seth Meyers inside the bash, and Glee's Chris Colfer and Darren Criss hit the red carpet. Chris and the rest of the New Directions are currently in the Big Apple, and his costar Lea Michele was honored at the same event in 2010. Mark Wahlberg, Martha Stewart, and Gayle King were also on hand for the celebration, where they checked out performances by Sting and Bruno Mars.
