Jason And Howard Join Beverley's Star Studded Audience

Beverley Knight was joined by some of my favourite celebrities at London's Mango Tree last night, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK and the Terence Higgins Trust. Take That's gorgeous Howard Donald, who I love to spot out and about, and Jason Orange looked lovely in their smart shirts, and Eastenders' Lacey Turner totally impressed me with her stylish outfit. It's certainly a far cry from market stall wares of her character Stacey, who is due to gain a new employee and a new love interest. PopSugarUK favourites Annie Lennox and Konnie Huq were also there to support the event, as were Dame Kelly Holmes and Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman in a rather fetching pink tie. What a great turn out for a great cause.

Nelson Mandela Celebrates with 46,664 of His Best Friends

London's Hyde Park turned into a party scene this afternoon as Nelson Mandela kept on celebrating his ninetieth birthday with a star-studded concert. Will and Jada were up and at 'em after last night's Elton John party to get on stage, while Geri Halliwell and Prince William's girlfriend, Kate Middleton, surveyed the scene. Amy Winehouse, who was looking unusually tan, managed to take the stage despite her recent health problems. A crowd of 46,664, a number chosen as that was Nelson's prison number during his 27-year incarceration in South Africa, turned out to mark the occasion. Between this big show and dinner with his friends on Wednesday evening, hopefully Mr. Mandela had a perfect and memorable birthday.

Megastars Gear Up For Nelson's Concert

London is teaming with megastars at the moment, as several celebrities are here to help mark Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday. Leona Lewis (do you love or hate her green eyeshadow?), Will Smith, the Sugababes and Annie Lennox were amongst those who gathered at the Intercontinental Hotel yesterday for a photo shoot, which created the most amazing school photo style picture I've ever seen! Even more stars attended the lavish banquet on Wednesday night, and we can expect yet more big names at the 46664 concert in Hyde Park tonight. Amy Winehouse is being tipped to perform a version of Free Nelson Mandela with its composer Jerry Dammers, ahead of her Glastonbury performance tomorrow as part of Jay-Z's supergroup.

Will Smith, Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker are making the most of their stay in London, enjoying a night out with their wives. We're thrilled to have you all here!

Nelson Mandela Throws a Party 90 Years in the Making

It was a 90th birthday party to remember for Nelson Mandela, who went big for his star-studded celebration in London's Hyde Park yesterday. Will Smith managed to tear himself away from his non-stop promotional tour of Hancock to catch up with his buddies Robert de Niro, Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington, and of course to spend some time with Jada. There was no sign of Amy Winehouse, but Naomi Campbell was happy to provide the drama, showing up even though Nelson personally requested she be removed from the guest list after her recent legal issues.

Stars Celebrate Nelson Mandela's 90th Birthday

Stars from both sides of the Atlantic joined Nelson Mandela in Hyde Park yesterday to celebrate his 90th birthday. Gordon Ramsay prepared the banquet for the 500 guests, which included those due to perform at tomorrow's concert, with Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox and the Sugababes all stunning in bright colours. Although Amy Winehouse wasn't there her spokesman has said "it seems likely" she will perform on the night. Naomi Campbell, however, won't be joining them. She was on a list of potential celebrities to be asked to introduce acts, but will not appear on stage following her arrest at Heathrow (when she was wearing a cap with Nelson's prison number 46664). Naomi's spokeswoman said: "She was never planning to go to the concert". The man himself charmed the Queen earlier in the day and last night was congratulated on his milestone birthday by Gordon Brown and Bill Clinton.

Stars Smile at Narnia's London Premiere

Following their New York premiere way back in early May, the young stars of The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian looked tickled pink to be at the UK premiere of their film, held at London's O2 Arena last night. Voice co-stars Liam Neeson and David Walliams were also in attendance, as were a number of my favourite British celebs including Annie Lennox and Kirstie Allsopp. Alex and Raef from The Apprentice got suited and booted for the occassion, and Eastenders' Mitchell sisters Samantha Janus and Rita Simons kept it cool in sunnies while their co-star Rob Kazinsky smouldered sexily.

Lily's In The Pink Among LBDs & Spice At The Glammies

Last night London played host to the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards – an event full to the brim with glam UK celebs, and a couple of Hollywood stars too... but everyone was talking about Lily Allen's new pink do! Lily was there to pick up the Editor's Special Award for all she's done this year, editor Jo Elvin explained:

"With reams of column inches to match her considerable talents, no Women of the Year line-up could be complete without the one and only Lily Allen."

She's certainly made an impact this year, that's for sure! Just over half of the Spice Girls glammed themselves up to attend – Mel B, Emma and Geri picked up the award for Best Band – and brought their partners too. Daisy Lowe was on hand to support Man Of The Year Mark Ronson, Paul O'Grady helped Best International Musician Beth Ditto down the perilous stage steps, and lovely Joanna Page won Best Comedy Actress for her work on the amazing Gavin And Stacey.

Lovely Ladies Celebrate The Lavender Trust

A load of lovely ladies attended the 10th Anniversary Party of The Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care at Claridge's in London last night. Emma Thompson, Nigella Lawson and Thandie Newton smiled for pictures alongside Annie Lennox, who sang at the Lavender Trust's launch party back in 1998 and performed again at last night's anniversary party. Lisa Snowdon looked great in her pretty dress, as did Claudia Winkleman who went for big blue circles like Sophie Ellis-Bextor had the night before. Model Erin O'Connor wore a black Sofia Strazzanti dress: do you love it or hate it? It's great to see such a wonderful bunch of celebs supporting such a great cause.

Idol Gives Back and Puts on a Big Show

We brought you pictures from the arrivals room earlier and now we've got some great shots from the Idol Gives Back show too, which took place yesterday at LA's Kodak Theater. Reese Witherspoon looked gorgeous as ever in a simple LBD, whereas Robin Williams went colourful in his sunshiney outfit. Brad Pitt had some technical difficulties with his microphone, but ever the professional he looked unfazed. Carrie Underwood stood side by side with Teri Hatcher (she's got guts to sing in front of millions!) and Carrie also performed George Michael's "Praying for Time". She said:

"That's a song that I've always loved, and I've always loved the message... It took me forever to be able to sing that through without crying, and I know if that song made me feel that way, maybe it will make a few other people feel that way as well and maybe make them feel strongly about doing something."

I can't wait 'til Friday to see Carrie's performance and all the other stars on stage - particularly Fergie's cartwheels during her performance with Heart. Good times!

Stars Arrive for Idol Gives Back

A whole host of celebrities gathered at LA's Kodak Theater last night for the taping of Idol Gives Back. Singers dominated the arrivals room, with our own Geri Halliwell walking the carpet with her new man. I love Carrie Underwood's hair and makeup but I'm not sure about her dress - shimmering dream or splattering of child's vomit? Fergie slipped into some tight trousers while Miley Cyrus gave the peace sign and admitted to OK! that she never has time to watch the show. I'd hate to be that busy!

As we know, actors were also helping Idol to give back, with Reese Witherspoon visiting a school in New Orleans and Teri Hatcher performing on stage (which the vast majority of you were not looking forward to!). The weirdest sighting in the arrivals room for me was one-time footballer and current actor Vinnie Jones - how random! The show will be broadcast here on ITV2 on Friday, but our friends Stateside will get to see Brad Pitt on stage two days earlier. Jealous!

Sophie Dahl was at The Feast of Albion Quintessentially Gala Banquet in London last night, looking absolutely stunning as always. I love her shimmery make-up, and her coat. Her boyfriend Jamie Cullum also attended, along with actors Colin Firth and Richard E Grant. They were all entertained by songs from Annie Lennox, who performed at the Soil Association event in London's Guildhall.

Glammies Nominees Impress At Photography Show

Glamour was the name of the game at the National Portrait Gallery on Monday evening, when stars young and old from TV, radio and music came out in force for the Burberry and Vanity Fair Portraits Opening Night. It's good to see the ladies making an effort on the fashion front, since this highly anticipated exhibition includes a selection of historic images by such renowned fashion photographers as Annie Leibovitz, Cecil Beaton and Mario Testino.

Emma Watson, who built on her style status in a gold Burberry dress, smiled wide thanks to the news she's nominated in the category of UK TV Actress in Glamour Women Of the Year Awards for her performance in Ballet Shoes. Her fellow Glammies nominee Lily Allen (who's up for Best Solo Artist) also attended the event, creating a full day of fashion having attended the PPQ show earlier in the day. Doing it for the boys, a handsome and tanned Will Young continued to get his fill of fashion-related goodness, having just flown back from New York Fashion Week.
