Posh Gives Her Parents a Tour of Her LA

We're used to seeing Victoria Beckham with David and the boys, but yesterday she enjoyed a different kind of family time before her basketball night - showing her parents around Los Angeles. First stop on American Life Tour, Whole Foods, and Abercrombie & Fitch. Naturally, Posh got all gussied up for the afternoon in her little dress and high high heels. Victoria's parents were a little more casual for the day, but could we expect anything less from Posh herself?

Amy and Meryl Take Julie and Julia to NYC

The cast of Julie and Julia moved cross-country for the NYC premiere after hitting the red carpet in LA earlier this week. Meryl Streep went a bit more casual this time while Amy Adams took it up a notch in her floor-length gown. There were a few famous chefs out for the night, as well as Julie Powell who inspired the title character of the film. Stars Sparkle, Burn and Sing at the American Music Awards

The stars of last night's American Music Awards hit the red carpet before heading inside LA's Nokia Theatre for the main event. Janet Jackson kicked things off with an energetic eight minute performance, and the evening's first award then went to the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyed Peas went on to take the stage to do "Boom Boom Pow" with a special Nirvana twist. The show went on with performances from Carrie Underwood and Shakira, as well as from Jay-Z and Alicia Keys with "Empire State of Mind." Unfortunately not everyone stayed on their feet - both Jennifer Lopez and Adam Lambert took tumbles while singing.

There were other memorable performances, from Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and not to mention Whitney Houston's return to the stage before she received the International Award of Excellence. Jennifer Lopez had a beaming Marc Anthony in the crowd as she debuted her new single and showed off those customized Louboutins. Michael Jackson won multiple awards, and his brother Jermaine took the stage to accept the award on behalf of their family. Taylor Swift took home the most statues, though she wasn't there and the upset of the night might have to go to Gloriana who won breakthrough artist - make sure to check out the full list of winners. Kate Hudson joined her Nine costars Fergie and Nicole Kidman, though Kate did have a chance to share a special moment with Alex Rodriguez. The Lakers Perform For Their All-Star Fans

The LA Lakers hit the court at the Staples Center for game five of the Western Conference Finals against the Denver Nuggets last night. The game was close, but the hometown team pulled out the big win. The audience was star-studded as usual including familiar faces like Zac Efron and Jack Nicholson while Ellen Pompeo and MIA had their men by their sides. Kim Kardashian excitedly twittered about heading to the game with Reggie Bush, though she was rooting for her friend LaLa's boyfriend Carmelo Anthony on the Nuggets. The Lakers have the chance to win the series in Denver tomorrow, but if they have to come home for game seven their celebrity good luck charms will be there to cheer them on.

Kris and Adam Bring Their Best to Their Final Idol Faceoff

Last night's final showdown between Adam Lambert and Kris Allen was exciting and entertaining. I can't remember the last season of American Idol where I really didn't care which person won because they were both so great in different ways. Cute Kris has such a sweet and talented voice, while Adam has showmanship like no other contestant we've seen on the Idol stage. It's bound to be a close race, and these two men seem to both be humbled and happy just to be a part of the action.

The judges said their praises throughout the evening with Simon giving Kris round one. Adam took round two, and without officially saying it, the judges basically crowned him this year's new worldwide star. Kris held his own, and at the end the judges were thrilled he made it to the finale but they made it seem like he was second choice. The exciting night brought out a few big stars like Katie and Suri and Anthony Hopkins. Buzz was also at the show and has more details of how the evening went down. It Was a Night Full of Tears and Laughter at the Golden Globes

After last year's abridged version of the Globes, everyone seemed excited to go back to the traditional show with all the Hollywood glamour and exciting speeches. Jennifer Lopez kicked off the show in her gold revealing gown where she handed out the first award to last night's real star - Kate Winslet. The actress scored a double win at the beginning and the end of the show and her heartfelt loving thank yous to both Leo and her husband were a highlight. So was when she forgot someone in particular in her category - Kate recovered and gave Angelina a shout out as well, but phew, we got a little worried when she asked, "Who's the other one?" Bruce Springsteen joked that he has and never will be in the same category as Clint Eastwood again. Chris Nolan accepted Heath Ledger's posthumous win to a standing ovation from the whole room. Johnny Depp made a quick appearance to present Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy to Sally Hawkins. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie didn't take home any trophies but looked just fine cuddling up and kissing throughout the ceremony.

The 30 Rock crew got big laughs most of the night. Some of Alec's jokes fell flat but we're happy he scored an award and even happier loose cannon Tracey Morgan was allowed to accept the award for the show. Mad Men got to celebrate for real this year with their trophy for Best Dramatic Series. Colin Farrell was happy and surprised to win an award though he sniffed and made a not-so-appropriate coke joke. That still went over better than Sacha Baron Cohen, who was booed by the audience when he joked that because of the recession Madonna had to let go of her personal assistant Guy Ritchie. Spielberg getting the Cecile B. Demille award reminded us so much of why we love the movies especially what he has created. Mickey Rourke won Best Dramatic Actor but his acceptance speech was a little too colorful for the censors. Slumdog Millionaire and Vicky Cristina Barcelona were the big winners of the night and everyone enjoyed celebrating at one of our favorite award shows of the season.

Come Inside the Governors Ball

After the big show in the Kodak Theater, the first stop for many of the attendees was the Governors Ball. Along with attending this year's Oscars via the red carpet and the press room, we were fortunate enough to have a ticket to the fancy affair. While on the inside we watched the celebrities feast on their Wolfgang Puck meal set in the Asian-themed room decor. Celebs made their way through additional television press, which included a lot of singing from the youngest of the Slumdog cast, who were some of the last to arrive. Anne Hathaway continued to make it a family affair posing with her brother. She was being greeted nonstop and barely found any time to eat her meal, which included a three-tiered chocolate dessert with an Oscar on the top. Robert Pattinson and fellow teen heartthrob Zac Efron chatted and toasted with Vanessa Hudgens before heading over to the VF afterparty. There was lots of casual mingling with peers in the ballroom and some took a few smoking breaks on the side. Heidi and Seal continued to make the rounds, but were they your favorite Oscar couple of the night?

Jen and John Cozy Up With Fellow Oscar Partiers at VF

Despite rumors that Graydon Carter was scaling things back for this year's Vanity Fair Oscars party, the soiree was as A-List as ever at its new venue the Sunset Towers. Jennifer Aniston could relax after her presenting duties, and when she and John Mayer hit the party, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. The couple cuddled up every chance they got, and he twittered a sweet message about her. Salma Hayek hugged her friend Penelope Cruz to celebrate her Supporting Actress win. Elsewhere, Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth caught up with presenter Halle Berry to smile for the cameras, while Jake Gyllenhaal shared a moment with Reese Witherspoon.

The fans let loose quite the screams when Kate Winslet, the star of the night, hit the red carpet with her Oscar in hand. Once inside the party she shared it with fellow nominee Meryl Streep just a bit. Madonna had her own party to host with Demi Moore, but she also stopped by VF, where she showed off her toned arms. Apparently even Captain Sully made a surprise appearance at the bash, which may have been smaller than usual but didn't lack in the glamour department.

SAG Awards Let Actors Like Tina, Kate & Sean Mingle and Win

It was a big celebratory dinner party for Hollywood's finest last night as actors of TV and movies came together for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Both the women and the men brought some excitement on the red carpet, but when they got inside it was all about mingling between awards. Brad and Angelina stayed in their seats other than when he was presenting Button as an ensemble cast nominee, but kept the smiles big for whenever the cameras panned their way. They were in better spirits than the red carpet at least. Penelope Cruz snuggled up to Meryl Streep who walked away with a statue while John Krasinski hung out with Josh Brolin and Steve Carell - let us know what you think about the winners here.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler posed together. An emotional Gary Oldman accepted the award on behalf of Heath Ledger who earned another win. Otherwise, Katie Holmes looked fantastic presenting her award and we're always happy to see Mad Men recognized. In that same vein, yay for Slumdog Millionaire, which was the night's big winner, which bodes well for next month's Oscars.

MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play.
