Avril Lavigne Designs a Nail Strips Collection For Sally Hansen

She's known for her pop-punk hits and even as a clothing designer, and now Avril Lavigne has channeled her creative spirit into nail art. Starting this April, the singer will launch a limited-edition collection with the Sally Hansen Salon Effects brand. And in true Avril fashion, the polish strips ($10 each), which will feature 12 different designs, will include rocker-chic patterns like tiny skulls and leopard print.

"It's supercool because the designs that I came up with are my personal style and vibe - they're rock 'n' roll and fun and bright and colorful. You have sparkles and little stars - they are cute," Avril explained in an interview with WWD. Avril has already ventured into the beauty business with the launches of fragrances Black Star, Wild Rose, and Forbidden Rose, so what can we expect next from the star? Avril quipped, "I think it would be cool to do hair color."

Avril Lavigne and her ex-husband Deryck Whibley reunited yesterday afternoon while hanging out on a yacht docked off the coat of St. Tropez. There were plenty more Avril Lavigne bikini sightings as well, since she wore the two-piece and a tiny wrap to say hi to her ex and some of his guy friends. Avril has been in the South of France for the past week enjoying her vacation by swimming in the Mediterranean and eating at local hot spots like Club 55. Despite the adults-only fun, she also showed her youthful side by playing in the water with a Hello Kitty body board. Avril and Deryck split in late 2009 before finalizing their divorce in November 2010. She's still going strong with Brody Jenner, but it seems Avril and Deryck are on good terms as well.

Avril Lavigne put on another bikini to continue her girls' getaway on a yacht in St. Tropez this afternoon. She and three ladies lounged in the sun, sipped on cold drinks, and waved to nearby boats. Avril's boyfriend, Brody Jenner, didn't join her for the vacation but he enjoyed his own trip to the water and went fishing in Southern California with pals. The couple was together, however, at the MuchMusic Awards on Sunday, where Avril was nominated twice, but was beat out by Justin Bieber in both categories. It doesn't look like she took the losses too badly, since she seems happy to play in the sun with friends.

The annual MuchMusic Video Awards were full of famous musical faces in Toronto tonight. The show's host, Selena Gomez, hit the red carpet in a skintight Burberry dress while her boyfriend and nominee Justin Bieber made his surprise arrival in a t-shirt featuring a picture of Saved by the Bell's Kelly Kapowski. Nikki Reed, who wore a strapless Ronald Abdala, and her fiancé Paul McDonald posed together, and Avril Lavigne made her entrance without her man Brody Jenner. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder showed up hand in hand and also shared stage time. Inside the MuchMusic headquarters Selena ran the show in a skimpy backless outfit and later changed into a one-shoulder white number to perform with her band Selena Gomez and the Scene, who were also up for multiple awards. Justin picked up two honors after spending Saturday night partying with Usher, Paris Hilton, and Kim Kardashian for his manager Scooter Braun's birthday. Lady Gaga brought home International Video of the Year and Ur Fave International Video, which is voted on by fans, and wrapped up the show with a sexy performance of "Born This Way."
