Ben Threatens to do Baywatch

Ben was looking wonderful last night at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in LA. We just heard him gushing to Ellen about Violet and Jen. Now he's threatening to play David Hasselhoff and throw on some Speedos. He is looking super svelte in these pics.... maybe he could pull of the Speedo look but we sure hope he doesn't go down that road. Here's more:

BEN AFFLECK has warned movie bosses he'll star in the BAYWATCH movie adaptation if they don't give him another directing job. The PEARL HARBOR star is desperate to quit acting so he can concentrate on working behind the camera instead. And he's given producers an ultimatum - either employ him again after seeing his directing talents in forthcoming release GONE, BABY, GONE, or he'll shamelessly take on DAVID HASSELHOFF's role in Baywatch. He tells Hotdog magazine, "I hope that people like the movie enough that they would hire me to direct another movie. "If not, it's strapping on those Speedos, getting on a surfboard and doing the film adaptation of Baywatch."

First off - yes it is called Hotdog Magazine - it's a UK thing and it is real. It really does exist. As for Ben, It will be interesting to see if he can make the transition to a director, but we hope he doesn't disappear from in front of the cameras forever. The latest Jessica Simpson rumor is that she will play the Pam Anderson role in Baywatch on the big screen. Once again Pimp Daddy Simpson knows how to capitalize on his daughter's body and lack of talent. There's no doubt she'll look insane in that red bathing suit, but you would think she would want to try to be taken more seriously. Here's more:

"Jessica really caught the eye in The Dukes of Hazzard film last summer. She was the unanimous choice for the Baywatch role.

"Jessica has all the assets to make Pammie's part her own."

Owen Wilson Has a Very Maui 39th Birthday

Owen Wilson celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday in Maui with his brother, Luke, and new girlfriend Le Call. We know how much Owen loves to frolic in the waves, and it's all the more sweet when you're off in Hawaii. Might I just say that Owen is looking pretty good perfecting his Baywatch beach run. I'm sure the whole group is having a great time celebrating in the sun and who knows, maybe someone even splurged on a new pair of board shorts for Owen.

Brooke Burke is Baby Bound

Brooke is busy getting ready for her baby with her fiance and Baywatch alum David Charvet. We think she looks fabulous, but Brooke says she's not feeling very glamorous at this stage in her pregnancy. The soon-to-be mother of three will also be sticking close to home for the holidays. People reports:

"I'm getting ready to have my baby, so I can't go anywhere, I can't do anything," Burke told PEOPLE at the Los Angeles Ballet's debut of The Nutcracker in Beverly Hills on Saturday. "I'm just kind of waiting it out – not strictly at home, (but) no skiing and no vacations this year. Just waiting for baby."

"I'm just trying to maintain my lifestyle, and to stay healthy and exercise and kind of embrace the time," Burke says. "It's not the most glamorous time for a woman. But right now, it's much better than it used to be. I think there's a lot of great fashion for pregnant women now. It's a beautiful time because you can really feel good in your skin during your pregnancy."

Kid is Sick of Babysitting

The time has come to hear Kid Rock's side of the story. While we thought Borat broke up the couple, it turns out that Kid was sick of staying at home while Pam partied all night. He supposedly even left his beloved Detroit to move to LA for Pam and her boys. Page Six reports:

But once Rock was in L.A., he found himself a single father to not only his son, Robert James Richie Jr., but to Anderson's two kids, Brandon and Dylan, as well. "Pamela would go out almost every night and end up at [photographer] David LaChapelle's studio," Rock's friend says. "Bob was home alone with the three kids."

The "Baywatch" babe confirmed that scenario in this month's Blender, which quotes her as saying, "When I go to Hollywood, I start at the Chateau Marmont and then I usually end up naked in David LaChapelle's studio taking crazy pictures. That's usually a night for me. Four or five in the morning, lying across a car in David's studio."

Kid Rock was also said to suspect that Anderson was less than truthful about the miscarriage she claims she had. "Bob never saw any proof or heard from her at any time that she was pregnant. She announced she had a miscarriage. He flew to Canada [where she's shooting "Blonde and Blonder"] to be with her and she went out every night."

We still have to admit we were with GQ on this one. We really thought they could have been Newlyweds of the Year. Oh well.
