For The 27th Time, Anne is NOT A Princess

Anne Hathaway stopped by TRL earlier this week to promote her new movie Becoming Jane. She looked beautiful at the NY premiere of the movie, but we're loving her casual look and toned down makeup here. Lately Anne has been very vocal about how different she is from her Disney Princess image, and apparently stepping out of her squeaky clean persona won her the role of Jane Austen. She said,

"The night before my audition, my dog decided to eat the hotel slipper, so she was up the whole night vomiting. I slept maybe an hour. When I arrived at the interview, I was tired and wasn't in a very good mood. I guess Julian realized that I wasn't the bright, happy, smiley, untroubled girl from 'The Princess Diaries.' He offered me the role after that."

Anne may not want us to think she's a good girl but as long as she isn't getting arrested or looking wasted we'll just keep liking her and thinking she is that princess like star. Buzz only felt mediocre about the movie, check out her full review here to see why.

Beautiful Anne For Becoming Jane

Anne Hathaway looked beautiful in a simple LWD on the arm of her boyfriend Raffaello Folleri for a screening of Becoming Jane in East Hampton this weekend. Howard Stern, his fiancée Beth Ostrosky and Heather Graham stepped out as well in their best summer looks. Anne has been all about town lately promoting the Jane Austen film and supporting her fashion loving friends. We're getting excited to catch the classic film in theaters August 3rd! Anne Dishes On Jane and Lindsay

Anne Hathaway looked stunning at the premiere of her new movie Becoming Jane in NYC last night. In the film, Anne plays Jane Austen during a turning point in Jane's romantic life and writing career. At the premiere, Anne talked about one of her contemporaries who is at a turning point as well. She had this to say about Lindsay Lohan, "I actually think that it has nothing to do with temptation. When you're talking about addiction, you're talking about disease." It sounds like she is on the same page as LL's lawyer. As for the movie at hand, Anne had this to say about playing the role of the literary icon:

"I inherited the image of Jane Austen as a sort of a dried-out old spinster. And in doing my research I found she was anything but that. She was wonderfully alive, very fun, a bit naughty and so much, so much more alive than I'd ever thought. And so it was wonderful, the idea of playing the woman before the icon."

Fox Day Means SYTYCD, Lots of Paula, Glee and Josh Jackson

So You Think You Can Dance kicked off Fox's TCA panels this morning with some Paula Abdul talk and - naturally - some dancing. Precious Cat Deeley introduced the popular routines from the season though the top four weren't able to come as they were busy getting ready for tonight's finale! Nigel Lythgoe continued to express how much he would love to have Paula Abdul on Dance, but also said he's not convinced she won't be back on American Idol. The Fox execs were up next and that was all about Paula, Paula, Paula - check out the big news from that here. After lunch the highly-anticipated Glee cast took the stage and Buzz has all the details of the panel. Joshua Jackson looked hot and brought out his sarcastic sense of humor promoting Fringe. He joked that Vancouver has "become Acapulco" weather-wise but that he "never expected to get the gift to be back home for work." He may always be Pacey to me, but he's clearly already gathered a new following for his popular sci-fi show.

Kristen and Dakota Have a Hard-Working Weekend

Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning filmed through the weekend on the set of The Runaways in LA. The girls wore matching shirts with their band and character names on them along with some high-waisted pants. Just like Robert Pattinson, Kristen is about to be translated into graphic form when Twilight becomes a comic book and if that one works out - which I'm guessing it will - Dakota's Jane will make her appearance when New Moon follows suit.

Jim Carrey Is Heaven, With a Little Help From Jenny

We've always commended Jim and Jenny for their matchy-matchy hairstyles, but they've changed up their looks and covered up those locks with helmets for a ride around LA this weekend. Jenny looks pretty adorable holding on tight on the back of Jim's bike, but it was Jim who got cute about his lady when he stopped by Oprah last week (the episode aired yesterday). The episode was shot on Valentine's Day, and Jim wasn't shy talking about Jenny, and the other loves in his life. Here are highlights:

Jim's personal creed: "I am heaven...Just remember you're heaven. That heaven is not a place to get to or wait for or spend your life in a mind hoping it will be someday. Have it now, you know?"
On his plans while in Jenny's hometown of Chicago: "We're just going to go everywhere she ever existed. That's what we've been doing so far. We'll continue to do that. You know, where she had her first kiss and travel around and see all those places that were near and dear to her-and I'm going to put my scent all over them so it will never be the same for her."

On why it works with Jenny: "I think what happens is you go along and you try a lot of different things in relationships and different people and you realize that you're not going to attract the person what's right for you until you become a whole person yourself. It's really not about completing someone or being completed by someone. She's wonderful and I'm very in love, but I'm not going to jump up and down on your couch. That's dangerous. I'm jumping up and down inside, though."
On his daughter Jane: "She's incredibly talented. She's a jazz musician and singer/songwriter, and she's just going to really surprise a lot of people. … I sit there, and I just marvel at her."
On Jenny calling him "the autism whisperer": "[That] is a huge compliment. I think it's just because I'm interested, you know? I really want to find out how his mind works."

Jim has gone through some dark periods in the past, but we're glad to hear that he seems really happy with his life right now. Also love that he comments on the couch jumping but don't forget he was one of the first to back Tom Cruise up. Now if only we can get him to do more comedies again.

OMG guys, Drew Barrymore is so Jane! She was their first ever cover girl, after all. It's been a long, strange trip for Drew since her Jane debut back in 1997, but she'll be the first to tell you that though she's got more wisdom and maturity, she'll always be the same free spirit at heart. Here's a preview of the interview:

ON FLASHING DAVID LETTERMAN ON NATIONAL TV…“I’m thrilled I did that, but no way would I do it now. Man, I was such a sexual, free, f*cking nudist little bird running around. I love it. I’m still sensual, but I’m much more modest now. But I think I’ll always be a bit of a wood nymph when it comes to sexuality. It’s like, ‘F*ck it, be free and have the most fun you can.’ ”
ON HAVING A FAMILY AND GETTING OLD…“I would definitely like to have a family one day. I don’t know when or with who, but I don’t picture myself alone and bitter…When I get old, I am not going to be wearing polyester pants. I’m going to wear old Levi’s and Birkenstocks. Oh Drew, you crazy lovable adorable hippie, we loved little nudist you and we love more put-together you, too. We love all the yous. Other than when you were married to Tom Green. That you wasn't as fun. Anyway, considering how tumultuous her early life was, it's always fun to see how grounded Drew ended up. She's the perfect lesson of how to make it work after being so out of control at such a young age. Are you listening, starlets?

Garner Gets a Brand New Bag

Jennifer may seem a little plain jane to some of you but every so often she surprises us. The Starbucks addicted, jeans and t-shirt loving Garner who didn't leave home without her trusty backpack this summer just upgraded her bag big time! I still can't decide if I like the new two-toned faded Prada look, but apparently a lot of you loved the new fall ad campaign with these bags. Perhaps heading to NY in a few months is making her want to become more fashionable. I'm just thrilled she finally ditched that hideous backpack.

J Lo Hypnotizes Theater Goers

Jennifer Lopez has been in LA promoting El Cantante and even though the movie didn't crack the top ten grossing films in its opening weekend, it is considered a box office success. The movie brought in $3.3 million which is even less than LL's disaster film from last weekend, however, it is playing on so few screens and the actual average per screen was the 4th highest (behind Bourne, Simpsons and Becoming Jane). This is great news for Jennifer and Marc who put their heart and soul into this project. So along with her fabulous marriage and her successful business empire, J Lo can now be proud of her opening weekend box office numbers - even if $3.3 seems low.

Al Gore Helps Kickoff Tribeca Film Festival

Robert De Niro's Tribeca Film Festival opened last night in an unconventional way. Al Gore hosted the event, which began with 9 short films about the environment in lieu of a full-length, big name movie like Spiderman-3 (which will premiere later on at Tribeca). The films are produced by SOS (Save Our Selves), which works towards raising awareness about global warming and climate change.

It's awesome that giving back and environmental awareness is becoming the hot new celebrity trend these days. Hopefully Hollywood can continue to use its fame to influence America to start getting serious about saving our planet.
