Ben Affleck was out and about in his LA-area neighborhood yesterday sporting heavier-than-usual facial hair. Ben was solo, but over the weekend, he focused his attention on his two daughters. On Sunday, Ben, Seraphina, and Violet hit a farmers market near their house to pick up some produce. Ben was also seen leaving with a bunch of flowers in hand, perhaps as a gift for Jennifer Garner, who didn't join them on the outing. Jennifer and Ben are expecting their third child this Spring, and during a recent visit to The Tonight Show, she joked that their girls are getting in on the naming process by suggesting the names of their favorite Disney characters for the little one. Jennifer didn't publicly reveal the gender of the baby during her late-show stop, but she did admit that she and Ben know whether they'll be having a boy or girl.

Ben Affleck was all about his daughters during a farmers market outing in Pacific Palisades yesterday. He took Violet and Seraphina to check out the produce, and the trio picked up grapes, strawberries, flowers, and more. Ben showed love for Violet, who was toting a monogrammed handbag, with a kiss. Jennifer didn't join her family for the shopping excursion, but she was busy with the girls on Saturday. Jennifer, Violet, and Seraphina went to the beach in LA to take advantage of the sunny weather. Violet and Seraphina played in the sand while their pregnant mom watched nearby. Jennifer's maternity style has been on display as she steps out for errands, and there's even more pregnancy fashion to come since she's not due until this Spring.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck went their separate ways in LA yesterday afternoon. He was out near their Brentwood home taking care of the family dog, while Jennifer covered her baby bump and headed off to grocery shop at a nearby store. The couple are gearing up for the arrival of their third child, but Jen's been getting active on behalf of one of her favorite organizations, Save the Children.

Jennifer Garner wrote about childhood poverty in a new blog post for the charity. Jen wrote, "Children in this country start kindergarten when they are five or six years old. My daughters donʼt really understand this yet, but they've already won. Here is why: kids growing up in poverty have heard, by the time they turn four, 30 million fewer words than my kids. They are developmentally 18 months behind their middle class counterparts." She and fellow Save the Children ambassador Julianne Moore are urging fans to buy Save the Children's Valentine's Day cards, and the proceeds of the sale will benefit their efforts to eradicate childhood poverty in the US.

Jennifer shared that her daughters have already started thinking of names that are "definitely Disney" and that the whole clan is excited for the baby's arrival. Ben and his girls will have something else to celebrate first though, if the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl. They'll be playing the New York Giants on Feb. 5, which is sure to be a big day in the Tom Brady-loving Garner-Affleck household.

Jennifer has had to focus on work recently, though, and swung by The Tonight Show earlier this week. Jennifer Garner kept busy over the weekend, taking Violet to karate class on Friday and then ballet on Saturday. Violet and Jen rewarded themselves with a hearty breakfast with Seraphina and Ben following the dance class. Jen's been sticking to a healthy eating routine during her third pregnancy, and has been spotted stocking up on nutritious snacks for her loved ones.

The foursome are prepping to welcome a fifth member into their family soon! Jen and Ben skipped out on all the Golden Globes action this year and opted to hang at home. The pair are both already the proud owners of Golden Globe statues; Ben shares his with Matt Damon for their best original screenplay, Good Will Hunting, while Jen earned a best actress in a TV drama for her role in Alias. The power couple are shaping up to be possible contenders at next year's show, with Ben's still-untitled Terrence Malick project and his directorial effort Argo heading into theaters in 2012. Jen also has her own projects set for release, as her comedy Butter hits big screens March 16 and The Odd Life of Timothy Green is scheduled for an August premiere.

Seraphina Affleck celebrated her third birthday on Friday, which Jennifer and Ben marked by throwing a party in Santa Monica with all her friends. On Sunday, it was all about Ben and Violet having one-on-one time and the father-daughter pair headed to a Color Me Mine. Ben, who is still sporting his long hair from Argo, looked on attentively as Violet painted her ceramic penguin. Ben's family came out for the holidays to spend time with the girls, but there's not much more traveling in store for Jennifer, who is nearing the end of her pregnancy. Jennifer and Ben will be welcoming number three soon and we'll see if it's another girl or a baby boy for the Garner-Affleck clan.
