Nicole Richie Celebrates Fourth of July in the Sand With Friends and Family

Nicole Richie shared a laugh with friends on the beach in Malibu yesterday. Nicole was joined by husband Joel Madden, his brother Benji, pal Samantha Ronson, West Coast Vogue editor Lisa Love, and others in celebrating Fourth of July in the sand. She sported long blond braids for the event, which included checking out a fireworks show over the water. Nicole and Joel weren't the only stars who spent the holiday in the oceanside town since Reese Witherspoon, Ashley Tisdale, and Zac Efron also enjoyed Independence Day weekend in Malibu. Soon Nicole will be back to work, though, since she has House of Harlow's Fall collection, which now includes a handbag line, to promote before the pieces are available in stores later this month.

Nicole Richie Brings Her Smooth Moves to a Vans Party With Joel Madden

Nicole Richie cozied up to her husband, Joel Madden, last night at the Vans X Jessie Jo launch party at LA's Troubadour. The parents of two partied alongside Joel's brother, Benji, as well as pals like Samantha Ronson and even Cher. Nicole wrapped up her daily stint at the gym to attend the bash, and she showed off the products of her hard work in a spread for the upcoming The Block magazine. She also teamed up with her trainer, Tracy Anderson, for a new video showcasing the dance fitness method they both love. Joel got in on some taped fun recently as well by creating a piece for Funny or Die.

Nicole Returns to the Gym as the Madden Brothers Take Off With Harlow and Sparrow

Benji Madden helped Joel get Harlow and Sparrow through LAX this morning. The siblings and Good Charlotte bandmates headed out of town to kick off their US tour, and it looks like Joel's adorable kids are going along for the trip. Their first concert is in Atlanta tomorrow, but we'll have to wait and see if Nicole Richie joins them for their other stops around the country. She's been sticking to her fitness routine in LA and was spotted leaving the gym again yesterday. Nicole and Joel did fit in some couple's time before he hit the road, though, as they stepped out Sunday for Elton John's Oscars bash.

John Mayer and Lauren Conrad Team Up to Save the Music

John Mayer and Lauren Conrad teamed up in NYC last night for Save The Music's annual gala. The organization, which is dedicated to restoring and preserving arts education in public schools, has long been a philanthropic cause close to John's heart. He, along with John Legend and Julie Andrews, was honored for continually supporting their work. Lauren Conrad, meanwhile, made a cameo to introduce Natasha Bedingfield, who sang the theme song from The Hills. LC managed to escape to the East Coast for the evening during a break from her acting and reality star duties. Good Charlotte's Joel and Benji Madden were together to pose for photos near Twilight's Billy Burke, though his fictional daughter, Kristen Stewart, was off getting down to business with Robert Pattinson in Brazil.

Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth Try Their Best to Keep Things Classy For Derek Blasberg

Nicole Richie and Kate Bosworth hosted a bash in LA last night celebrating their pal Derek Blasberg's new book, Classy: Exceptional Advice for the Extremely Modern Lady. Derek's currently in the midst of a cross-country book tour that included a stop San Francisco, where he shared five fashion no-nos with Fab. Nicole was with Joel and their daughter, Harlow, earlier in the day, but her date for the evening was her soon-to-be brother-in-law Benji. Nicky Hilton, though, was the one subjected to Nicole's sense of humor while they posed for a photo. The evening was all about starlets, fashion, and Derek, but the party also interestingly brought out the apparently reconciled couple Balthazar and Rosetta Getty.

Nicole Goes From a Day With Harlow to a Night With the Boys

Nicole Richie went casual yesterday afternoon as she brought Harlow out to join her fellow tiny dancer Olive Cohen at ballet class in LA. Just a few hours later, Nicole got fancy to attend her second charitable evening out so far this week at the Beyond Shelter Inspiration Awards. She and Joel Madden were honored at the event for the work they do with their Richie-Madden Children's Foundation, and his brother Benji managed to find something to wear in time to head out and show his support. Joel was humble as always about accepting the accolades, later tweeting his thanks to the fans who help out with their cause.

Nicole and the Maddens Reunite With Paris at VS Swimsuit Party!

Victoria's Secret models Miranda Kerr, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Candice Swanepoel showed off their super-long legs on the red carpet at the swim catalogue party in LA last night after stripping down to bikinis to promote the new collection. Inside the event, Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton caught up - the former partners in crime grew apart years ago, but as childhood best friends they seem happy to see each other when they can. The Richie-Madden-Hilton double dates ended when Paris and Benji broke up, but the exes still had a friendly chat over the DJ booth where he was working with Joel. Paris and Nicole's side-by-side clubbing days feel like forever ago now that one of them spends most of her time as a hands-on mom to Harlow and Sparrow, but Miss Hilton has also grown up a lot in the past few years.
