Beyoncé Returns to the Stage With True Style, Grace, and Sequins

Beyoncé took the stage at the Revel resort and casino in Atlantic City last night, ready to put on a high-energy show for the sold-out crowd of 5,500 fans. In her first major performance since giving birth to daughter Blue, she pulled out all the stops and changed into four jaw-dropping costumes. Ralph & Russo created Beyoncé's couture looks, which are encrusted with more than 500,000 Swarovski crystals, and took into account her high-energy dance routines when coming up with the designs. For her part, Beyoncé delivered a two-hour set of her hottest tracks. From "Run the World," one of her more recent hits, to "Single Ladies" to "Halo," she kept the crowd on their feet all night. Perhaps one of the most surprising moments of the night came at the end of the show when Beyoncé shared new personal photos and film clips, including an image of the singer holding baby Blue in her arms.

Beyoncé Knowles caught a performance of the musical Ghost on Broadway over the weekend. After the show she posed with the cast including Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Fleeshman, Caissie Levy, and Bryce Pinkham. Beyoncé went casual in shorts, a striped top, and minimal makeup for the occasion. She's been busy prepping for her upcoming Memorial Day Weekend concerts in Atlantic City, and recently added another date for May 28. The singer might be busy for another holiday weekend, Labor Day, since Jay-Z just announced his new Made in America music festival, which will take place in Philadelphia and feature 30 bands. Jay-Z hopes that Beyoncé will attend, saying, "I tried to put it far enough away that she'd have a little gap in her schedule."

First, he attended the Met Gala arm in arm with bombshell Doutzen Kroes, then Kate Middleton donned his creamy, thigh-slit Fall '09 gown for a dinner in London, and to top it all off, Beyoncé opted to wear his iconic Fall '05 Galaxy dress in a teal blue rendition for the Thriving Child book launch last night. While Beyoncé certainly pulled out all the stops in Givenchy for the Met Gala Monday, her retro curve-hugging choice here proved both subtle and sexy. The cap-sleeve, formfitting silhouette is one that we can really get behind - why? Its nipped waist, square neckline, and altogether glamorously cinematic feel lends itself to more than one body type, highlighting curvier shapes just as easily as it emphasizes the curves we wish we had.
