Comedian Harvey Korman died yesterday at the age of 81 at UCLA Medical Center following complications from the rupture of an abdominal aortic aneurysm four months ago. - AP

Sugar Bits - Rob Lowe's Ex-Nanny Claims Sexual Assault

Rob Lowe's former nanny appeared on The Today Show this morning to defend her claims of sexual harassment and abuse, following the actor's very public preemptive denial and lawsuit last week. - MSNBC
The Laguna Beach police department is apparently unlikely to file child endangerment charges against Richie Sambora following his recent DUI arrest while his 10-year-old daughter was in the car. - TMZ
Harry Potter author JK Rowling appeared in a NYC court yesterday to block the publication of the Harry Potter Lexicon, an encyclopedia of the books' terms, which she says amounts to plagiarism and "wholesale theft of 17 years of my hard work." - AP

Jerry Lewis helped raise a record breaking $63 million for muscular dystrophy during a 3 day telethon this weekend. We would've been happier to hear this news if he hadn't used a homophobic slur in the process. - TMZ
This morning, Whoopi Goldberg helped kick off a new season of The View as a permanent host. We wonder if the show will finally have a drama-free season. - People

We were almost recovered from Oscar Madness and then there was more. This weekend the awards kept coming with the NAACP Image Awards, which also happened to feature some of our Oscar favorites. The red carpet was hot, but with LL Cool J as host, we sure the fun didn't stop there. It looks like Jennifer Hudson scored another one! Even Bono got to share in the winning! RIP Richard Pryor

Richard Pryor passed away today from a heart attack Saturday at the age of 65. He influenced many of today's most popular comedians and was so popular in the 70s and 80s that he became one of the highest paid actors of his time. Unfortunately he had a terrible battle with drugs and alcohol and in recent years has been suffering from multiple sclerosis.

The Toy was one of my favorite movies growing up. I could watch it over and over again. Comedy has lost one of it's great talents this weekend but it's nice to see people in LA stop by his star and show some love.

Here he is with Sidney Poitier, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy back in the day.
