ABC All Stars Pose Hands-on-Hips and Party the Night Away

After spending a long day sitting on panels and fielding questions at the TCAs, the ABC and Disney stars got dressed up and hit the red carpet last night. Despite moving filming to NYC, the Ugly Betty beauties like Becki Newton (get her look here) were representing, even with no America Ferrera. Mixing our medical shows, Kate Walsh hung all over Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence celebrating life back on ABC. Nick Lachey didn't have Vanessa on his arm but looked handsome out promoting his High School Musical reality show. The Cast of Scrubs Put on Their Poker Faces

The cast of Scrubs had a lot to celebrate last night after their fairy-tale season finale, but instead of poppin' champagne, they opted to try their skills at the poker table at the the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson's Research Fundraiser. Sarah Chalke looked lovely on scruffy Zach's arm while CaCee Cobb just looked happy to be with her man Donald Faison. Seems like a good time was had by all, but the real question is whether or not Zach tried to recruit a few of his friends to do a little lip syncing for the video he's directing after all the gambling fun.

Scrubs Goes Up Against Grey's

The cast and crew of Scrubs celebrated their 6th Season Premiere last night at the Esquire House in Beverly Hills. And despite rumors that this might be Zach's final season, NBC is feeling very confident about the show. So confident that they are putting it up against Grey's Anatomy on Thursday nights.

While most producers would be totally terrified, head honcho Bill Lawrence seems to be keeping his sense of humor about the whole thing. He says, "If NBC is counting on 'Scrubs' then they are sh*t out of luck my friend. First of all, I am a huge TV fan -- Thursday night on NBC should be comedy. Secondly, we're going to think of something to name Zach Braff's character like McSomething -- McWeenie or McCheesy or something." I guess Dr. Cox won't be short of nicknames for JD this season. We like that NBC is going back to their roots with Thursday night comedies but it's going to be hard to choose between Grey's, The OC and Scrubs. The season premiere is November 30th at 9/8 central. Courteney Cox Says Jennifer Aniston Loves Cougar Town and Could Guest Star!

Courteney Cox took the stage today at the TCAs in Pasadena to promote Cougar Town as we twittered the highlights. Courteney looked fantastic in her leather skirt while she, her costars, and executive producer Bill Lawrence kept the crowd laughing with tons of jokes. Of course, Courteney was asked about Jennifer Aniston.

First Court joked about Jennifer Aniston's similar-sounding Pumas joking, "Yeah, she totally ripped it off! I did know about her movie, but I'm not sure exactly what the story is. I guess Pumas are in their 30s. Jaguars are 50s, and sabertooths go right into the '60s?"

Then it was Lawrence himself who chimed in, "Is Jennifer going to be on the show?" to which Courtney responded, "She's a good friend and I know she loves the show. If Bill writes her a character, I'm sure she'll do it."

Scrubs, Ashton, and Life on Mars All Go Big on ABC

Yesterday was another fun one at the TCAs in LA! Buzz and I buckled down to enjoy the first day of ABC panels, which included some swoonworthy celebrity sightings including Ashton Kutcher and newly fit Zach Braff. Check out Buzz for full news on the shows, but here are my thoughts on the day, shows, and whether or not Jonny Lee Miller wants to talk about Angelina Jolie:

The day kicked off with Eli Stone and the question on everyone's mind was Katie, Katie, Katie. We got a few more details on her role, but mostly we'll have to wait for Oct. 21 to see her return to TV singing and dancing.
When asked about Angelina Jolie, her former husband, Eli Stone star Jonny Lee Miller, said we'd have to call her. Ha.
Breaking news: The Scrubs folks are funny! While Bill Lawrence revealed that this will be Zach Braff's last year on the show, the whole group seemed excited about the move to ABC.
Love love love Sarah Chalke (who they kept joking is the mother on How I Met Your Mother). Lots more from the hilarious panel here.

When asked about his recent weight loss, Zach Braff talked about being in the best shape of his life thanks to a certain someone he met about a year ago. Hmmm . . .
The whole Scrubs cast genuinely seems like they love each other, which is such a treat - Braff and Donald Faison kept talking about being best friends. Guy love between two guys. Plus, Bill Lawrence was super excited for Courteney Cox to join the cast for a few episodes, and Neil Flynn (the Janitor) jokingly revealed that his characters real name is "Zanzibar Buck Buck McPhee".
Sigh, Ashton. Nothing I love more than a man in a Red Sox hat. He was there to present the new game show he's producing, Opportunity Knocks which, briefly, is a contest about how well you know details about your family. When asked how he would do on it, Ashton said Demi would do better than he would since women are more attentive and compassionate.
When asked about whether the show was his idea, Ashton talked about no one "owning" ideas and how we're just lucky to be able to "manage" them. He also talked about having no regrets about Punk'd, but enjoying doing something more family friendly fun too. So sweet hearing him talk about his girls, awww!

After working together for her guest spot on Scrubs, Courteney will star in Cougar Town about a 40-year-old single mom who's trying to deal with the aging process. Courteney had big roles in Ace Ventura and of course as Monica on Friends, so tell us - are you excited that Courteney is going back to comedy?

Scrubs Stars On Their Farewell Tour

Last night the excellent cast and creators of Scrubs got together at The Paley Center for Media in LA as part of Scrubs: The Farewell Tour. While it looks like we may never get to see the show's intended finale on our television screens, some lucky fans got to watch an episode of the show with the cast before sitting down for a Q & A session. I'm already getting ready to miss the doctors of Sacred Heart and their zany shenanigans, but at least they'll live on in reruns. Sadly, Sarah Chalke couldn't make it to the event, though I would love to ask her and Zach if JD and Elliot were going to end up together. Now that we may never know, they should answer that, right?

Tara Drags Her Boytoy Black Friday Shopping

Just like millions of Americans (and the Lohan girls), Tara Reid and her boyfriend took advantage of the Black Friday Sales, shopping in style on Robertson in LA. Sadly, though Tara has been looking better recently, these photos reveal that she may be getting too skinny for her own good. Hopefully, this has more to do with the angle than reality, but it breaks my heart that after everything she's been through, Tara may still have a hard time being happy with how she looks. And I'm sure the (kinda unnecessary) story that Bill Lawrence is spreading about how she smelled like cigarettes and booze while on the set of Scrubs doesn't help.

Braff and His Toys, Scrubs and Its Unclear Future

As part of NBC's Green Week, Zach Braff (and the Janitor!) stopped by the Scrubs Green Fair to play with some eco-friendly vehicles yesterday afternoon. While Monday's "green Heroes" was a little weak in the environmental department, maybe Scrubs will put forth a more valiant effort. Maybe JD will trade in his trusty Vespa for a greener version. I've gone from casual rerun watcher to devout fan of the show, so the first episodes of this final season have been bittersweet. Even more so since the writers' strike may mean the 18 episode season has to be cut down to 12. Considering just last week Bill Lawrence and Zach Braff didn't know exactly how the show was going to end, I'm sure they're stuck in a very hard place trying to figure out what to do with the season. Here's to hoping that the writers' demands are met soon so they can help script the poignant and funny ending this show deserves.
