On last night's 30 Rock, Tracy Jordan finds himself with a problem he can't pawn off to his entourage. With his Oscar nomination, he wants to up his crazy, A-lister antics, but can't because cameras are following him around for his wife's reality show, The Queen of Jordan. He wants to look good, not for his wife but for the Oscars of course.

Liz uses his on-camera image control to manipulate him into doing actual work, asking him to make the DVD promos he's been promising for five years. When he can't take it anymore, he breaks out into an insult-song to the tune of Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl."

Too bad, it can't run. Mrs. Jordan may be royalty, but The Queen of Jordan's music budget isn't. Good thing 30 Rock's is!

If Alexa Joel didn't look so much like her father Billy Joel, you'd be hard pressed to choose which one is his wife and which one is his daughter. With just a five–year age difference between the brunettes, they look more like sisters than anything.

Showing her support for her, er, step mom, sweet Alexa Joel smiled wide for the paps at Katie Lee Joel's book launch. Katie's new book, The Comfort Table dishes out easy–to–fix southern recipes for fun family affairs.

Nate Berkus, Bobby Flay, Giada de Laurentiis and Michael Schlow are just a few of her fellow celeb friends who give her two thumbs up. And from the looks of it, Alexa and Billy are on board, too!

Inside the Very Star-Studded Madonna Malawi Gucci Bash

We saw all the million celebrities on the red carpet last night at Madonna's Gucci/Malawi/UNICEF benefit, but the real fun was on the inside. J Lo looked fabulous and glowing with her gorgeous hair and ready to pop babies bump having a laugh with Tom and Katie. Madonna let her mini (and growing!) me Lourdes wander the festivities alone while she played hostess to the star-studded bash. Wouldn't mind getting that up close and personal with Orlando, you? Birthday Boy (with Ashton) Chris Rock got an eyeful of Rihanna on the red carpet, but the stunning starlet was probably too nervous about her big party performance to even notice. She said, "I've never met [Madonna] before...I hope I don't cry." Rihanna's not the only person Madonna was intimidating (even just jokingly so) as Gwyneth said as she walked in you don't say no to Madonna "very often, she's pretty scary."

The Golden Globe nominations will be announced tomorrow morning, but Variety says nominees might not attend the January ceremony because of the writers' strike. Also on the chopping block because of the strike: the Television Critics Association press tour, says the Associated Press - and maybe splashy Upfront presentations, too, says the New York Times.
But, the Screen Actors Guild Awards will go on as planned, Variety reports.
According to ComingSoon, Will Arnett will voice Knight Rider in the TV film.
Amy Adams just might join the cast of Doubt, which also now includes Viola Davis, writes Zap2It.

FABTV: Billy Joel "Uptown Girl"

After last week's naughty episode of FABTV, I wanted to lighten things up a bit. Who better to do so than Piano Man Billy Joel? This isn't my favorite song of his - "We Didn't Start The Fire" is SO good - but that music video didn't star one of the best American models of all time: Christie Brinkley. With its kitschy, gas station guy-inspired set, you would expect these guys to be tough and rough. But no, they are having a jolly good time singing and dancing while working. Then, the Uptown Girl rolls up in a rather Oscar de la Renta look, wearing a fabulous little black hat. I don't know where the crop top wearing break dancers came from, but once they all get together and dance it's a party.

All sorts of celebrities came out Saturday night in the Hamptons for a Billy Joel concert as part of the Social @ Ross series. MK took a break from her new Weeds life for the event, along with Billy's former wife Christie Brinkley and now wife Katie Lee. It always seems a little random to see Renee Zellweger out and about, though she's looking pretty happy, so, uh, yay? Kelly Ripa and Mark were adorable as always. Meanwhile, check out the gallery for this event -- Alec Baldwin has seen better days and Adam Sandler might have fallen asleep mid-show. Whoops. Being said, I'm sure the show was a blast. The Piano Man is quite the performer.

Playlist: Father's Day

Surely you haven't forgotten that Father's Day is this Sunday. Whether you're throwing your dad a party or you just want to let him know that you're thinking about him, I've got a Playlist prepared for the occasion.

I briefly considered making a mix of "dad rock," like Bob Seger and John Mellencamp. But I just couldn't pass up an opportunity to get all weepy-eyed while listening to Harry Chapin's "Cat's In the Cradle." It gets me every time! I've got some other pretty sappy stuff on here, like Cat Stevens' "Father and Son," and Ben Harper covering John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy." But just in case you get too emotional, I've thrown in some slightly siller selections too.

American Idol: Who Deserves to Win Season 11?

It's been a long trek, American Idol watchers. Months after the initial search began, we've finally made it to finals week. If I feel this exhausted, then I can't imagine how finalists Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips feel, especially after the three performances they each had to rock before the last round of voting. As Jennifer Lopez noted tonight, our final two could not be more different. Jessica is a pint-sized ballad singer with a mean vocal range, but Phillip has an insane ability to take songs and turn them into his own wonderful Phillip Phillips brand.

Jessica started out the night with Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing," winning the judges' endorsement for the first round against Phillip's classic "Stand by Me." They were a little more split after the second round, when Jessica covered Celine Dion's "The Prayer" and Phillip did a little Billy Joel with "Movin' Out." Come the last round, Phillip scored the only standing ovation of the night after his rendition of "Home," and he deserved it. The marching band and soft vocals showed off Phillip's true artistry, and Jessica's unremarkable "Change Nothing" didn't stand a chance.
