Ben Affleck took the stage at the Children Mending Hearts Gala at the House of Blues in LA last night to present the year's humanitarian award to Anderson Cooper. Before handing the mic over to Cooper, Ben spoke about the Congo, a cause close to his heart and about which he wrote for Time magazine this week. When Ben stepped off the stage, he found a special surprise waiting back at his seat — Jennifer Garner snuck in to watch him and give him kisses at the table before ducking out 20 minutes later.

Bridget Moynahan met a friend out for lunch with her most precious accessory — John Edward Thomas Moynahan — in her arms yesterday afternoon. The little cutie peered over his mom's shoulder throughout lunch, showing off his monogrammed blanket. Interestingly, the "Thomas" aspect of the initials was left off that one.

Sugar Bits - David Letterman To Appear On Oprah
- David Letterman will appear on Oprah, for an interview taped September 10 at MSG. This will be the first time Dave is on her show, though she buried the hatchet on his show back in 2005. We love that these two made up and can't wait to see more of them together.
Bridget Moynahan Has A Baby Boy!!
Bridget Moynahan gave birth to a baby boy in LA today, People reports. No word yet on the name or any other specifics, but the important thing is we know that both the mother and son are doing well.
Tom recently said that he would take time off following the birth of his child, so I imagine he's either on his way to LA or already on the west coast.
Bridget's Bigger & Bigger Baby Bump
Just a few weeks ago Bridget Moynahan's rep said she has months left to go before her due date, but girlfriend looked mighty pregnant (and still super fit) in LA yesterday.
