Paris Hilton and her sister Nicky touched down in Melbourne on Monday after spending some time bundled up in Aspen with their family. The girls are in Australia to celebrate NYE together for the second year in a row with a big bash Paris is hosting in Sydney. This year, Nicky's got her man David Katzenberg by her side, while Paris is keeping company with her new sidekick Brittany Flickinger. The three girls spent yesterday shopping and hitting a spa before heading out to dinner, probably getting everything in order before their official duties commence tomorrow night.

Even a Robbery Can't Get Paris Down

Paris Hilton posed with her new shiny pink Bentley during a shopping trip in LA with her BFF Brittany yesterday. It hasn't been the best week for the heiress after being robbed a few days ago, but she's still smiling. Paris isn't giving up on retrieving her jewelry and she even issued a public plea for the thief to return her items, saying that if they are brought back anonymously the culprit won't be charged. In the meantime she's upped the security at her house and Paris has her pink car and new friend to accompany her on as many shopping trips as she needs to start feeling better.

Paris Finds Support From Benji After Devastating Robbery

Paris Hilton's LA home was robbed last week, and it doesn't look like she spent much time there over the weekend. She and her BFF Brittany had dinner at Dan Tana's on Saturday, and on Sunday they joined Ryan Seacrest at STK before heading on to Hyde. The burglary has really upset Paris, she said, "I am devastated. I cannot believe someone broke into my home. They took items that had such sentimental value that no one will ever be able to replace. I'm just thankful that I wasn't there when it happened." Besides Brittany, it looks like Paris has another shoulder to cry on - after trying to reconnect with Benji last week, they were spotted publicly making out and they even still spend some nights together. If Paris feels insecure about sleeping at home alone, sounds like Benji is a welcome bed buddy.

Paris Hilton Gives For Good and Gets $2 Million Stolen

Paris Hilton had a busy day that started with handing out gifts at a rescue mission in LA with her mom Kathy and sister Nicky. After playing Santa Claus, she ditched her festive red outfit and slipped into a LBD to hit Christina Aguilera's birthday party with her new BFF by her side. Unfortunately, not everyone is feeling as generous as Paris is - her house was broken into this morning and the burglar made off with over $2 million worth of stuff. Hopefully, Paris's holiday spirit isn't crushed, and at least now her friends and family can add a few more gift ideas to their lists for the heiress.

Paris Mixes the Old and the New For a Night Out in LA

Paris Hilton celebrated the opening of the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills with friends and family last night. Nicky looked fabulous in her sharply tailored outfit, while Paris struck a few poses with her newly crowned BFF Brittany Flickinger. Jared Leto was there to party after his recent trip to Europe, along with Hilary Duff and Michelle Trachtenberg, who's gearing up for a likely return to her role on Gossip Girl. Even without Benji Madden by her side, Paris clearly has lots of people to mingle with during her many nights out on the town - though she evidently wants even more on her plate amid news that she angling for the role of Tinkerbell in an upcoming remake of Peter Pan.

Paris Terrorizes Australia With Shopping

Paris Hilton and Brittany Flickinger continued their tour of Sydney last night with dinner after a long day of shopping before hitting the beach and getting all dressed up for tonight's New Years eve party. Paris managed to surprise and even offend some locals by spending the equivalent of $100 a minute, but the Deputy Prime Minister was quick to step in and declare it a good thing. Who knows why actual politicians were drawn into the minor controversy, but hey. Paris, her new BFF and Nicky are already partying their way into 2009 and maybe on Paris's list of New Year's Resolutions should be to not star in the worst movie of the year again.

Paris Hilton Does Some Trashy Window Shopping

Paris Hilton checked out the goods in the window of one of her favorite stores, Trashy Lingerie, before hitting the town with her new BFF Brittany Flickinger last night. Say what you will, but I'm impressed she's still hanging out with that girl weeks after the show ended. While Paris's shirt read "Santa Baby", this newly single girl doesn't have a boyfriend to play Mrs. Claus for. When it comes to a kiss on New Years, on the other hand, Paris might find a willing partner down under where she's hosting a party. While Benji was originally spinning at the club, he's off the roster but rumored to still be making the trip in order to win her back. You were split on whether their relationship was a stunt from the start, but being involved and largely off the wild club scene this year landed her on our most improved of 2008 poll.
