A New Hair Styling Show Debuts Tonight

If you're a fan of Shear Genius, you might enjoy Oxygen's new Hair Battle Spectacular. The amped-up version of a reality TV hair competition pits 10 fantasy hair stylists against each other to compete for the grand prize of $100,000. In the premiere episode, "Go Big or Go Home," we get to know stylists Minista (a real ordained minister!), Cajmonet (or cash money), and Fingaz (she says she has the fastest fingers).

In the first challenge, the artists work with unconventional personal items like a pink stuffed dog, a hot pink stiletto, and a soccer ball. Then, in the second challenge, stylists sculpt fantasy hair using cocktails as their inspiration. The show, hosted by Brooke Burns, feels a tad long at an hour. And the final battles, which take place in a shimmery glitter "boxing ring," may be a bit showy, but it's entertaining nonetheless. The amount of talent and creativity makes it a fun watch, so check it out and let me know what you think.

HBS also features judges, award-winning fantasy hair designer Derek J of Good Hair fame and celebrity stylist Lindsay Albanese, who has worked with Britney Spears and Mary J. Blige. The show premieres tonight at 10 ET/PDT. Will you tune in?

Matthew and Camila Help Kick Off Earth Day at a Lumber Yard

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves kicked off their Earth Day festivities last night with a party at the Malibu Lumber Yard grand opening. With the constant trips to the beach and traveling around in their Airstream it seems like MM and Camila are teaching Levi to love the earth already so it's no mystery why Matthew earned a place on our 15 Favorite Eco-Loving Celebrities list this year. Joining the couple out last night were other green stars in neutral colored clothing like Mena Suvari, Vanessa Minnillo and Angie Harmon.

Gorgeous Cameron Comes Out For LA Premiere of Vegas!

Cameron Diaz looked amazing in her Zac Posen dress at last night's What Happens in Vegas LA premiere, stepping out for the first time since her father's unexpected death two weeks ago. She's been understandably laying low and letting Ashton do the red carpet events, but we're so happy to see her back by his side with that trademark smile on her face. Their costar Lake Bell was out as well, cozying up for the cameras to her former big screen partner Eva Longoria. When Cam missed a press junket over the weekend she sent a heartfelt hand written note to the media saying that she hopes they had a good laugh in her absence. We hope that she had that much needed laugh last night watching her movie surrounded by costars and fans who love her so much.

Stars Come Celebrate Seacrest for Details

Ryan Seacrest is a serious cover boy for the April issue of Details, but his big smile made up for it at the magazine's Mavericks 2008 party in LA last night. Small-screen stars Rainn Wilson and Kristin Cavallari came out for the event, and Lindsay Price got to celebrate the end of Lipstick Jungle for now. With all the drama, beauty and fun geekiness on last night's finale we can't wait for it to come back. Paula wasn't in the house, but Randy Jackson and Simon came out for their boy Ryan. Never one to pass up an opportunity to make a joke at Ryan's expense, Simon said, “Yeah, he looks good. A lot of airbrushing.” Sounds like someone might be a little jealous.

Celebs Give The Clothes Off Their Backs

While some TV stars have already put their Emmy party hats on, others are taking their clothes off for a good cause. Eva Longoria, David Boreanaz and Felicity Huffman are just a handful of celebs that attended an LA fundraiser yesterday for Clothes Off Our Back, an organization through which stars auction off their outfits, gowns and accessories for charity. While we wouldn't mind being on the receiving end of Eva's fabulous red dress - we're more excited to see what our favorite stars put together for the Emmy red carpet on Sunday.

Adrian & Paris Still Enjoying Time Together, Ugh

I have so had enough of Adrian hanging out with Paris 24/7. I understand that he is making some sort of documentary about the paparazzi's relationship with celebrities, but I'm starting to think that this has moved beyond a professional relationship with these two. Blech. Obviously Adrian is still cute as can be, but something about his new BFF-ship with the heiress makes him less desirable. Moving on, Adrian was joined by his Entourage costar Kevin Connolly at a party at Uncle Buck's Gallery in LA last night. Now if only Adrian had a real life E in his life to tell him that a relationship with the notorious starlet might not be the best career move.

Paris Celebrates Life Rolling On

Paris is still acting charitable in the best way she knows how -- by attending parties thrown by well-meaning organizations. This weekend she put on a pretty gown alongside Molly Sims and Brooke Burns at a benefit for the Life Rolls On Foundation, which helps young people affected by spinal cord injury. I just hope that Paris is opening up her checkbook as often as she's stepping into couture for these fund raising events. Paris may always be happy to flash a smile on the red carpet, but a new piece in the Daily Mail written by a man who claims to have been on the outskirts of Paris' posse paints a picture of the heiress as a lonely girl lacking the simplest of social skills. Sadly, I can't say any of it was really all that surprising.

Why You Need to Add Jumping to Your Cardio Routine

Back in the day, when we played double-dutch on the playground (or some simpler incarnation of that), we hardly cared about the value of the workout. All we cared about was having fun. It turns out that jumping offers a lot more than a good time: in fact, depending on the type of jumping exercise you choose, you can get a cardio and strength building workout simultaneously.

From jump roping to squat jumps to trampoline classes, for regular gym rats and even Hollywood A-listers, jumping is the new black.

I. Jump Roping

Celebrity trainer Marco Reed - who authored upcoming book The Get Beyond Fit 3+1 Diet based on his lauded nutrition programs - integrates jumping into the majority of his personal training and popular outdoor workout classes.

In fact, jumping rope is one of his favorite exercises to incorporate. "It's been around for a long time with athletes, but I think it's become more popular with everyone else lately.
