TIFF Gives VMAs a Run For Its Money

The MTV VMAs may have been the talk of the town, but the Toronto Film Festival proved to be just as star-studded. Jennifer Aniston looked fabulous as usual in her mini black dress for Management, while Keira Knightley looked like royalty once again on the red carpet for The Duchess. Brad Pitt showed off his Burn After Reading and talked about how little sleep he's getting these days taking care of six kids. Dakota Fanning wowed us in her black number, looking so pretty and grown-up at the premiere of The Secret Life of Bees with costar Jennifer Hudson.

Mark Ruffalo pulled double duty for Blindness with Julianne Moore and The Brothers Bloom with Adrien Brody, while Anne Hathway looked gorgeous continuing promotions for Rachel Getting Married. Of course, it wouldn't be a festive weekend without a few parties, and Kate Hudson, Diddy, and Lindsay Lohan were just a handful of stars who had plenty of fun without any movies of their own to endorse.

Brad and George Tuxedo Up and Hit The Burn Premiere

It's tuxedo time for Brad and George! The boys hit the big red-carpet premiere of Burn After Reading this evening at the Venice Film Festival, dressed to the nines and ready to steal the show. Of course, all their co-stars were there as were the Coen brothers, but forgive us, this week it's all about Pitt and Clooney. It sounds like last night went that way too as the guys partied the night away celebrating being back together until the wee hours of the morning with lots of drinks to go around. It can't have been too rough of a night for Brad and George - they were looking sharp and on their game with the reporters early this morning at the photocall. Now, we'll just have to wait and hear how night number two of the guy's reunion goes down in Venice.

Brad and George Share Red Carpet and Pitt's Children in Venice

The Brad Pitt and George Clooney two man Venice Film Festival show rolled on, this time swapping their dark suits for light ones to meet up with co-stars Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand and the Coen brothers at a Burn After Reading photocall today. The handsome duo arrived by boat again with smiles, laughs and autographs for fans. During the session, when reporters got a little personal, the close friends kept things light by stepping in for each other and joking around. Here's more:

When a reported asked Brad about the babies, George answered: "The twins are fine."
When Brad was asked if he'd rather win an Oscar or fall in love with a beautiful woman, George answered: "Brad, don't answer that."
When George was asked about settling down and having kids they both answered: George: "I am so surprised to hear that question. That is honestly the first time I’ve been asked that question. I am getting married and having children today. Brad?" Brad: "And until then I’ll be sharing mine with him. I’ll have two more by next year."
Both also answered when asked abut missing the convention in Denver: George: "I'm happy to be here. This is one of my favorite places in the world to be. I like to watch the conventions on TV. I think the stars of the convention should be the people who are being elected. I'm pessimistic, but I'm optimistic. I think it's a very exciting time in American politics."Pitt: "I'm optimistic, too. It's a vital time. It's a defining time. I'm excited about where things are going."

They went on to joke that they only share one scene in the movie thanks to a restraining order. While we miss seeing them at the DNC, Venice is even better and thanks to tonight's red carpet premiere the Brad and George fun is not over yet.

Gray Lumberjack George Clooney Still Hot

Brad and his brood are long gone back to LA, but George Clooney was still hard at work on the set of Burn After Reading in Jersey yesterday. It looks like he was happy to sign some autographs on a (much younger?) headshot like a good sport. Just getting his coy smile or even a wink would probably be worth hanging outside his trailer for a while. These may not be Clooney's yummiest photos ever, but he's still classic end of the week Manjoyment. Enjoy, enjoy. Happy Friday.

Clooney Loves Betting on His Bachelorhood

We've been seeing a lot of George and his new girlfriend Sarah Larson these days and it definitely makes us cringe to think of Clooney as off the market for good. Yet there's also a part of us that would love to see him settled down and have some beautiful babies. We're not the only ones who have been making predictions about George's love life - he's betting with Hollywood's leading ladies about not getting married again. He has one with Michelle Pfeiffer where she said, "I bet him he would get married and he keeps inflating the bet from 100 dollars to 100,000 dollars. I still think he will, he's a handsome devil." He also has an ongoing bet with Nicole Kidman. So now the question is, can Sarah deal with being with a man that refuses to get married or will she convince him otherwise?

In other Clooney news, remember last week when we saw that George was still working on Leatherheads? Turns out that the movie's release date has actually been postponed until April 4th. Huge bummer for all of us who can't wait to see romantic comedy Clooney again.

Brad Pitt Wants Clooney 4 Prez

Brad Pitt and his fluffy hair were back on the set of Burn After Reading in NYC today. He sure is keeping busy between his bike riding and wall scaling adventures, but at least there was no blood this time around. Maybe he and George will even get into a little friendly athletic competition? Even though these two have gone head to head a few times (usually for some kind of hotness title), these pals have nothing but love for each other. Brad even said that he'd rather see George run for President than himself, saying,

"I never thought about it. I have no desire at this point. Maybe I serve better by not going through that door. George should do it! He'd be quite good. I think Ben Affleck should run."

A world where George Clooney and Ben Affleck are running for President? We think Brad just might be on to something here.

Films Rocked Brad's World

Brad was spotted leaving the set of Burn After Reading yesterday while George was seen spending some down time relaxing on a break from shooting (hot gold necklace buddy). You guys decided that George is more irresistible than Brad, but we know that our lives would be a little empty without Mr. Pitt. In this week's issue of Parade, Brad gets real about how he got into the movie industry in the first place. Here's more:

"Saturday Night Fever was a big influence on me. I snuck in to see it when I was underage. It wasn't the dancing and the music I'm referring to, it was this culture of families who argued at the dinner table and popped each other in the face! It was this whole other way of people relating to each other that I found really interesting."
"Films were a portal into different worlds for me, cultures I had never seen before and was absolutely taken with. I was also taken with the power of films to define things for me that I'd not been able to define for myself. So I became an actor."

Well, we're probably speaking for almost everyone when we say that we're certainly glad that Brad became an actor. Besides, if there were no Brad, then Clooney would be in need of a new hot sidekick.

Monday Manjoyment Kicks Off with Clooney

George Clooney left his girlfriend behind (yay) while he was working double duty on two of his upcoming movies this weekend. On Saturday he spent the day working on Burn After Reading, and on Sunday he was back in his 1920s gear on the set of Leatherheads. Since the movie hits theaters in December, there is always cause for concern with reshoots this late in the game but then again, his buddy Matt Damon did a ton for Bourne and look how well that turned out. Either way, we all know that America just can't resist Clooney so his charm alone will probably be enough to sell those movie tickets.

Brad Gets Back On The Bike

Yesterday we saw Brad all nasty and bloody but now he's looking all prim and proper in his fancy suit on the set of Burn After Reading. We're so used to seeing dad Brad these days that we forgot he also pimps cell phones and supports his friends. Last night Clooney even joked about his good buddy saying, "He told me he might show up, he texted me earlier. It's good to see him. He's a good guy." When US asked him how Brad was as a dad, he hilariously responded, "He's not really my dad, but he's great with his kids, of course."
