Julianne Hough, Busy Philipps, and More Celebrate Their Hot Status in Hollywood

Julianne Hough, Busy Philipps, and Kim Kardashian were among the starlets who stepped out in LA last night for Us Weekly's Hot Hollywood bash. Kim was ecstatic to have found the perfect pink Casadei heels to wear with her silver strapless Catherine Malandrino dress. Kim also fit a dinner at Nobu into last night's itinerary. She had a sense of humor about eating there without a boyfriend. She tweeted, "Nobu with no boo." Kim, Julianne, and Busy all took home honors from Us. Kim was crowned "The Total Pro" for her red-carpet style and Julianne was crowned "The Free Spirit." Busy, meanwhile, got the "Cool Mom" prize.

Julianne hit the town despite yesterday being a difficult day for her boyfriend Ryan Seacrest - Ryan's mentor, Dick Clark, died yesterday at the age of 82. Julianne retweeted a couple of articles addressing the kind words Ryan shared in Dick's memory. Some hot Hollywood guys turned out for the event as well. A supertan Kellan Lutz struck a pose, ahead of his expected arrival in NYC to serve as one of the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival judges.

Busy Picnics With Tracy Reese and Friends and Talks Award-Season Memories With Michelle

Busy Philipps, Kate Mara, Emma Roberts, and Mena Suvari turned up at the Viceroy hotel in Santa Monica this afternoon for a luncheon hosted by Clos du Bois wines and fashion designer Tracy Reese. Tracy unveiled her new "Chic Picnique" picnic basket, lined in one of her signature prints, in partnership with the winemaker at the event. She also outfitted her celeb friends in attendance in some of her latest Spring looks. We caught up with Busy during the afternoon soiree to talk about what's next for Laurie on Cougar Town and to hear about some of her favorite award-season adventures with her good friend Michelle Williams. Check out some highlights from our chat:

PopSugar: How's the show going?
Busy Philipps: It's great. We're done for the season. We're done filming. We were so excited for it to come back on the air, and now we're just hoping that more people start figuring out that we're on Tuesday nights at 8:30, and tuning in.
PS: That's always hard, though, when you switch times.
BP: It's the worst, it's terrible. And I really feel sad about it. I wish that more people were tuning in . . . You know, we are a show like Community that has loyal, hardcore fans and for that I am so grateful. It's amazing to be a part of something that people feel so strongly about. We just want to reach the other 85 percent of the population. I hope that they tune in!
PS: And what about Laurie's new boyfriend? What will happen with that as the season goes on?
BP: We're going to see him via Skype and we have a pretty intense connection. And then, he may or may not show up at the end. In real life, in person.
PS: You and Michelle obviously had a busy award season. What was the most fun part memory or event you two attended?
BP: The Golden Globes night was really, really, fun. It was fun because she won. And then, honestly Oscars night was incredibly fun. And we had a great time and we were out very, very, very, very, very late - or early. Which, for two moms, is a big deal. It's funny that that's like, what we are now . . . because we became friends when we were in our very early 20s. It's a totally different lifestyle, but occasionally we get to relive those moments of our early 20s together.

Once again, Michelle Williams brought her BFF, Busy Philipps, as her red-carpet date tonight! Michelle, nominated for her role in My Week With Marilyn, has been friends with Busy since their time together on Dawson's Creek. From Dawson's to the Oscars - not bad!

Tonight we'll find out if Busy is a bless or a curse. She's already walked the carpet as Michelle's Oscar plus-one twice before, for Brokeback Mountain and Blue Valentine, and each time she lost. So far this year, Michelle's had good luck, winning a Golden Globe and an Independent Spirit Award for her latest role.

Busy's daughter has noticed that her mom has been quite occupied attending award shows with her friend this year. Busy tweeted today, "I reminded my daughter that I'd be gone today & tomorrow with Michelle and she replied, 'Mama, Michelle is nominated for too much stuff.'" Busy is also close to Michelle's daughter, Matilda Rose Ledger, acting as her godmother (with Jake Gyllenhaal as the godfather). See these sweet best friends on the carpet tonight.

Her work in My Week With Marilyn has earned all sorts of acclaim, and tomorrow will be the final event in a busy two months. The Oscars week events kept rolling along in LA and one of last night's big soirees was a Harvey Weinstein-hosted bash to celebrate Charlie Chaplin by Carmen and Dolores Chaplin. The event was to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Charlie Chaplin's honorary Academy Award. One of this year's nominees, an Elie Saab-clad Jessica Chastain, has been making the rounds, including at Monday's Vanity Fair party, and this time she was joined by Kate Bosworth, in Stella McCartney, and her boyfriend Michael Polish, Chelsea Handler, Busy Philipps, and more. Kate was decked out in a cute Miu Miu number to pose with Michael, and inside she mixed and mingled with some of the other attendees.
