Halle and Ashlee Mind the Gap With Famous Friends

Celebrities were out in Hollywood last night celebrating the launch of Gap's new 1969 premium denim line. Halle Berry stepped out with her man Gabriel Aubry, while Emma Roberts rolled solo. Ashlee Simpson was fresh from the TCAs to smile and strike a few poses, and Joel Madden manned the DJ booth while Nicole hosted a bash across town. It was a crowd that often turns up to support high-end designs, but they all looked happy to snag pairs of the budget-friendly jeans that are all priced under $70.

Ashlee's Baby Shower Saturday Ends With Hospital Trip

Ashlee Simpson celebrated this weekend with a last minute Winnie the Pooh-themed baby shower at the Hotel Bel-Air on Saturday afternoon. She and Pete were joined by family and friends in what he recently described as the "very end" of her pregnancy and while a trip to Cedars-Sinai was in the cards, it wasn't to welcome the new addition. After the shower, Jessica headed off to dinner with a group including CaCee Cobb and Ken Paves, but unfortunately things got messy on their way out. As they were leaving Madeo after their meal, Ken got hit in the face with a paparazzi camera causing a late night trip to the hospital with Jessica by his side. After a joyful day full of love for Ashlee, hopefully Ken's injury didn't put too much of a damper on things.

Jessica Simpson Is Exhausted But Still Bright

Jessica Simpson posed with an excited fan outside Madeo last night, where she went out to dinner with CaCee Cobb. The girls are busy and both in serious relationships, so we don't see them together as often, but they still make time for girls' nights out. On Tuesday, Jess performed on Dancing With the Stars and backstage she joked about her own lack of dancing skills, how proud she was of Drew Lachey for winning, and her hectic schedule saying, "For the last months have been hotel to hotel, five states a day. I’m pretty exhausted. And then I have to, like, watch the Cowboys every weekend and then go through those anxieties.” Unfortunately for Jess, she's got a lot more anxious afternoons watching her "Sunday" with football season just heating up.

The Cast of Scrubs Put on Their Poker Faces

The cast of Scrubs had a lot to celebrate last night after their fairy-tale season finale, but instead of poppin' champagne, they opted to try their skills at the poker table at the the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson's Research Fundraiser. Sarah Chalke looked lovely on scruffy Zach's arm while CaCee Cobb just looked happy to be with her man Donald Faison. Seems like a good time was had by all, but the real question is whether or not Zach tried to recruit a few of his friends to do a little lip syncing for the video he's directing after all the gambling fun.

Who knows what Jessica Simpson was thinking when she chose her dress (awkward length? giant flower pattern?) for an afternoon around LA with CaCee Cobb yesterday. While she seemed pretty high on life in her recent Glamour interview, maybe she's got sourpuss face after hearing that George W. Bush has been making jokes at her expense. Aww, don't be sad jinx, I mean Jess, Tony will be back soon to put that smile back on your face.

So, Jessica is so the less-annoying Simpson sister this week, right? Ha, I kid (kind of) . . . the Simpsons, I really do love them. Anyway, smiley Jess is in Nashville with her trusty sidekick/former assistant/similarly in need of a brush friend CaCee Cobb. Jess looks happy and healthy after her recent hospitalization, which rumor has it may have something to do with drinking a bit too much these days with her QB boyfriend. Miss Simpson is in Tennesee while she records her country album - let's just hope she doesn't have to resort to any sort of stunt publicity when it comes time for her to promote it. Can you tell I'm a little frustrated with her younger sister? Deep breaths.

Back when I heard the news that Donald Faison had taken up with Jessica Simpson's BFF/former assistant Cacee Cobb I figured it was just a fling, but here we are a couple years later and they're still going strong. Who would have thunk? Apparently not me. The duo was spotted in LA this week either coming from a work out or just embracing a mutual love of sweats. You know, I never thought I'd say this but I kinda like them together now. They're sweet. Now, what's the deal with Scrubs coming back?

After the official announcement of Nick and Jessica's divorce, we wondered what would happen to CaCee Cobb. There were rumors she was on Nick's side even though she was technically on Jessica's payroll. Now there is evidence that Nick and CaCee are still maintaining their close friendship while Jess is busy yachting in Sydney. Talk about things that make you go hmmm.

The Gilded Moose reports the duo were seen at Pure this weekend in Vegas. Apparently Nick and CaCee looked very cozy that evening but then again, Nick has been attached to every woman he has been within 3 feet of so who knows.

Jess was wearing plaid at London's Heathrow Airport this morning, still showing off the traditional mehndi adorning her hand. She's been busy traveling from Japan to Brazil over the last few months, but Jessica's personal life remains a subject of speculation. Jessica was last linked to Gerard Butler after a night out in NYC, though it remains to be seen if she and the ladies' man are more than just friends.
