Kristen Stewart Rocks Short Shorts to Party With Robert Pattinson

Kristen Stewart slipped out of her Reem Acra gown and into a Dolce & Gabbana t-shirt and sexy black shorts for Robert Pattinson's Cosmopolis Cannes Fim Festival afterparty. Earlier in the evening Rob hit the red carpet solo at the film's formal premiere while Kristen stuck close to his best friend, and her On The Road costar, Tom Sturridge. The trip to France came right in the middle of Kristen's international Snow White and the Huntsmans press tour. The film opens in theaters June 1 and Kristen's headed back to the States next week for a few more promotional stops. As for Rob he's in the running for two of the hottest roles in Hollywood. New reports say Rob's considering the part of Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, the follow up to The Hunger Games, and he's among the sexy guys competing to play Christian in Fifty Shades of Grey.

The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, with stars stepping out for glamorous events each day. Brad Pitt hit the red carpet looking hot in a classic tux while Diane Kruger emerged in a white feathered Nina Ricci gown for the premiere of Killing Them Softly with Joshua Jackson. Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst linked up for the On the Road photocall and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet dressed up in a suit to support Kristen's big Cannes premiere. She posed alongside Rob's pal and her On the Road costar Tom Sturridge at the event. Rob chose a hot tuxedo for his big moment after also hitting the red carpet to support Kristen at her premiere yesterday. Rob and Kristen celebrated with PDA at the afterparty along with their friends and costars. It's been an exciting time int he South of France for Rob, Kristen, and many other celebrities, and before the fun wraps up on Sunday Reese Witherspoon will take her turn in front of the cameras.

All eyes were on Robert Pattinson as he stepped out onto the red carpet at tonight's Cannes Film Festival premiere of his David Cronenberg-directed thriller, Cosmopolis. Rob kicked off his day at a casual photocall for the film, but for tonight's formal affair he suited up in a tuxedo. He was joined on the carpet by costars Sarah Gadon and Juliette Binoche, however, he was just a few feet away from his number one lady, Kristen Stewart, who posed for photos with Tom Sturridge. Rob showed his support for Kristen and Tom's feature, On the Road, at a screening earlier in the week and Kristen and Tom seemed happy to do the same for Rob. Early reviews of Cosmopolis have been tough on the storyline, however, Rob's fans will be able to make their own judgements when the film hits theaters later this year.

The glamorous event has occurred during the Cannes Film Festival for almost two decades and this year brought out many stars, including a L'Wren Scott-clad Julianna Margulies and her husband Keith Lieberthal, as well as Alec Baldwin and his fiancée Hilaria Thomas. Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger, in Chanel, continued their red-carpet run with another appearance for the cameras after stepping out most recently for the Nights in Monaco Gala in Monte Carlo. Kirsten Dunst chose blue Louis Vuitton gown and sat with boyfriend and On the Road costar Garrett Hedlund during dinner. Milla Jovovich, who we chatted with last night at L'Oréal's bash, wore a metallic look by Atelier Versace while Kylie Minogue brought a pop of color in red. Petra Nemcova also chose the bright hue while model Doutzen Kroes went with white.

Robert Pattinson Rises Early For Cosmopolis in Cannes

Robert Pattinson drew a large crowd at the Cannes Film Festival in France this morning. He stepped out for a photocall to promote Cosmopolis after also talking up the project on Le Grand Journal yesterday. Rob will be back in front of the cameras for the premiere of the film later today, though he's already made his red-carpet debut at this year's festival. Rob supported girlfriend Kristen Stewart by showing up at the screening of her movie On the Road, which also stars his pal Tom Sturridge. The fun continued after the event when Rob and Kristen kissed on the balcony of Le Baron's Cannes outpost. Kristen is apparently still in the South of France, but we'll have to wait and see if she makes another red-carpet appearance with Rob this afternoon.
