The Grammy Awards took place in LA last night! The action started right away on the star-studded Grammys red carpet, where outlandish fashions were donned by some of music's biggest names like Fergie, Nicki Minaj, and Rihanna. The fun continued during the show, thanks to host LL Cool J. In addition to paying homage to the late Whitney Houston, there were lighter moments thanks to performances from Rihanna and Coldplay, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney, and even the Beach Boys. The night, though, belonged to Adele with six wins for her song "Someone Like You" and her album 21. The Foo Fighters were a close second with five new statues. Carrie, Rihanna, Katy, Fergie, and More Get Sexy on the Grammys Red Carpet

Music's leading ladies and more famous faces brought their best looks to the Grammys red carpet in LA tonight. Julianne Hough posed in a strapless Kaufman Franco gown while Alicia Keys chose a simple black dress and arrived on the arm of husband Swizz Beatz. Adele, who is nominated for six awards, wore a custom Giorgio Armani gown. She's taking the stage at this evening's show to perform for the first time since undergoing surgery to repair damaged vocal cords late last year. Fellow performer, Rihanna, brought the sexiness in a backless Armani number, which she helped design.

Neutrals were a big trend on the carpet with Kate Beckinsale stepping out in a cream Zuhair Murad mini and country star Miranda Lambert in a similarly hued lace Pivoni gown. Miranda joined her husband, Blake Shelton, on the carpet. Kelly Osbourne sparkled in Tony Ward with her light purple hair. Best country song and best country solo performance winner Taylor Swift rocked a high-neck Zuhair Murad as she awaits the news on her third nomination.

Nominee Carrie Underwood kept the sparkle coming in a long sleeve white gown by Gomez-Gracia. She'll hit the stage for a duet with Tony Bennett at tonight's show. Katy Perry, who is nominated for two Grammys, switched up her usually edgy appearance with a subtle blue Elie Saab that matched her bright hair, while Fergie showed skin in a hot orange lace Jean Paul Gaultier that revealed her black undergarments. Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott brought a touch of color with her purple Monique Lhuillier gown.

Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood, Toby Keith, and More Country Stars Add Fender Guitars to Their Trophy Cases

Las Vegas went country last night for the 2011 American Country Awards. The event was hosted by Trace Adkins, for the second year in a row, and this time around he was joined by pint-sized companion Kristin Chenoweth. The night was a celebration of the genre's finest musicians with Jason Aldean taking home six Fender guitar statues, including artist of the year. Carrie added three awards to her growing collection including female artist of the year, music video of the year, and female artist single of the year. Taylor Swift missed out on the Sin City fun, and even though she was nominated in six categories her winning streak came to an end.

Blake Shelton took a break from filming The Voice to join his lovely wife Miranda Lambert in the front row of the audience. The superstar pair raised their plastic glasses during Toby Keith's performance of his hit "Red Solo Cup," and Keith later went on to accept the honor of artist of the decade. The evening was a mini American Idol reunion of sorts for former contestants Carrie, Jordin Sparks, Lauren Alaina, and Scotty McCreery. Scotty, last year's AI champion, earned his first ever award and took home the title of new artist of the year.

Carrie Underwood Gets the American Country Awards Going With Kristin and Jordan

Carrie Underwood kicked off the American Country Awards red carpet in Las Vegas tonight. She wore a playful white Maria Lucia Hohan number while Jordin Sparks also went with the neutral hue. Kristin Chenoweth, who cohosted the evening with singer Trace Adkins, chose a bright plunging green gown by Honor. Kristin started off the show with a funny skit and then handed the microphone to Jordin. Jordin presented the first honor of the night, Single of the Year, to Carrie Underwood, for "Mama's Song." It was just the beginning of the winning for Carrie, who picked up two more Fender guitar statues before the show wrapped up. Other country performers recognized at the 2011 ACAs included Lady Antebellum, American Idol's Scotty McCreery, Brad Paisley, and Blake Shelton.

Country music's finest came out for the BMI Awards in Nashville last night. The event celebrates songwriters and publishers in the genre and is held during CMA Week. Nicole Kidman showed support for her husband Keith Urban in an asymmetrical Stella McCartney gown. Keith, who recently postponed a benefit concert due to a growth on his vocal chords, took home two honors at the show. Taylor Swift accepted an award in her sparkling Emilio Pucci mini while LeAnn Rimes gave one of the evening's performances. Carrie Underwood grabbed three plaques, though they may just be the beginning of the awards for the singer. She's up for female vocalist of the year at today's Country Music Awards, which she's cohosting with Brad Paisley.
