No Country and Affleck Boys Post Party Oscar Night Away

While some of the bigger Oscar parties were cancelled this year, Hollywood still found lots of ways to celebrate after the big show. The cast of No Country For Old Men looked like they were having a blast at the Miramax soirée, especially Josh Brolin and Diane Lane who were one of the cutest couples of the night. Elsewhere at the same party, fresh from his Kimmel appearance Ben Affleck caught up with Casey to share a laugh. Jen may not have been much for partying after her much talked about red carpet run in with Busey. Eva Longoria didn't score an invite to the awards, but she did get all gussied up in pink to go to Prince's get together. GQ Honors Its Picks for Men of the Year

The red carpet was overflowing with sexy men last night at the 12th annual GQ Men of the Year Awards. Obsession of the Year Hayden Panettiere and Diane Lane were lucky enough to be among the few ladies who got to mix and mingle with the big winners, which included James McAvoy, Casey Affleck, and Emile Hirsch. Cover boy Kanye finally felt up to making his first public appearance since getting back from Europe but sadly wasn't ready to walk the red carpet just yet. The party was abuzz with Oscar talk for the best male performance (Emile, Russell Crowe, and Clooney, to name a few), but Judd Apatow and Seth Rogen were more interested in throwing in their two cents about Katherine Heigl's recent Vanity Fair interview where she calls Knocked Up a sexist movie.

USA Today reports:

"I don't think the movie's sexist, I think there are characters in the movie who are sexist," clarified writer/director Judd Apatow, who hasn't spoken with Heigl about her comments. "Apparently Vanity Fair needs to sell some magazines. They've got to turn up the controversy. I'm sure when they get you talking for hours and hours, a couple lines taken out of context seem more interesting than they really are."

But Rogen, Heigl's co-star and the film's star, was more blunt. "We won A Women's Image Network Award; I picked it up myself," he reminded, adding, "I don't really talk to Katie."

Does that mean she's off his Christmas list? "Yeah, exactly. Oh yeah, like she was on it before."

Ouch! We know Seth Rogen has a sarcastic sense of humor, so maybe he didn't intend to sound so harsh about his co-star. Even so, it sounds like Katherine might want to watch what she says if she wants to hang on to her status as one of the most popular women in Hollywood.

Men of the Year Celebrate Themselves More

While the red carpet had its share of hot guys and pretty young ladies, inside last night's GQ Men of the Year party was where things really got hopping. And by that, I mean Ryan Gosling was there. Geeky guys obviously rule, with Justin Chambers pulling off a bit of the Clark Kent about to become Superman thing with his undone shirt. At the event, Hayden lamented the fact that men traditionally get better roles than women. She said, "In general, there have always been better male roles than females, which has been a struggle." While that's no secret, little Hayden's got a mighty strong girl to play on Heroes. Now, how much fun would it be to party with this group of guys (and girls)?

The Producers' Turn to Get Awards

While the Super Bowl was the main event of the weekend, it wouldn't be February without a new awards show at every turn. This Saturday it was the producers' turn to be honored, and there were plenty of celebs on hand to help them. Casey Affleck and Ellen Page had the opportunity to perfect their red carpet looks before the Academy Awards. Diane Lane upgraded her look from the SAGs, and once again her man Josh Brolin's movie, No Country For Old Men, took home the honors for best feature film. It's been winning award after award, which is making the movie's Oscar odds look good.
