Dakota, Ivanka, and More Stars Kick off Tribeca With Vanity Fair

Stars like Dakota Fanning, Leelee Sobieski, and Catherine Zeta-Jones gathered last night to celebrate the start of the Tribeca Film Festival at Vanity Fair's kickoff party. The bash was held at NYC's State Supreme Courthouse and many of the celebs posed for pictures outside before heading in to start the fun with editor in chief Graydon Carter. Leelee, who arrived with her designer husband Adam Kimmel, wore a white gown from Jil Sander. Dakota, one of the festival's judges this year, was pretty in a pink Lanvin. Catherine broke from working on The Bitter Pill to throw on a silver Michael Kors number and let loose alongside husband Michael Douglas. Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner also popped by to say hello during a date night, when their daughter Arabella stayed home. New Rock of Ages Trailer: Tom Cruise and Alec Baldwin Hit It With Their Best Shots

The new full-length trailer is out for Rock of Ages, and guess what? It's awesome. Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, and Julianne Hough ain't looking for nothin' but a good time and between their over-the-top commitment to their roles and a little monkey named Heyman, the preview is pretty hilarious. It also gives us more insight into the plot than the original teaser, with a better look at the rest of the cast (welcome to the club, Diego Boneta.)

Aside from sharing director Adam Shankman, Rock of Ages has quite a few parallels to 2007's Hairspray. There's the newcomer trying to make it in showbiz (Boneta), young romance (Boneta and Hough), a troupe of intolerant folks (led by Catherine Zeta-Jones), and of course, lots of music. Oh, and did I mention there's even more (shirtless) Tom Cruise here? I could not be more excited to see him fill Stacee Jaxx's shoes.

In my career as a makeup artist I've been turned on to some really great beauty tricks. Some are self-learned from trial and error, some are from other makeup artists, and more than a few have come from the subject themselves. There's a difference between doing makeup on a gal that's not in the entertainment industry (or as I term them, "civilian") and someone who gets made up as part of their job. Civilians are excited to try new colors, textures, and see their faces through the eyes of a pro; whereas actresses, singers, and models have seen their faces made up many different ways, making them hyperkeen on how products feel, wear, and photograph. Catherine Zeta-Jones hit the deck of a yacht in her bikini off the coast of Italy today. She and shirtless Michael Douglas soaked up the sun and Catherine even got a massage as they continued their relaxing couple's getaway. The couple have been all over the Mediterranean enjoying time off, and Catherine and Michael even met up with fellow vacationers Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea. The foursome was spotted lunching at the beachside restaurant Club 55 and met up again later for dinner at Tetou in the South of France. Catherine's overseas stint comes after she filmed her part in Rock of Ages, which her costars Tom Cruise and Julianne Hough have been busy shooting in Miami. We already got our first look at Catherine Zeta-Jones in Rock of Ages, though the movie still had her much more covered up than she was during her bikini day.
