Would You Rather Watch Charlie Sheen's Roast or Ashton Kutcher's Two and a Half Men Debut?

Get ready for the return of "warlock" and "winning" jokes: Comedy Central will roast Charlie Sheen on September 16. To boot, the special just happens to fall on the same date as Ashton Kutcher's first episode of Two and a Half Men. The ruthless roasters should have no problem ripping Sheen to shreds, and the actor himself seems to agree. He said, "You could say I've been providing kindling for this roast for a while. It's time to light it up. It's going to be epic."

Despite how I feel about Sheen's antics, I don't think I'll be able to resist watching the comedians take target practice at the actor. That said, I don't expect this news to have any impact on the viewership of Kutcher's appearance on Two and a Half Men - if anything, it will probably remind Sheen's fans to watch the new version of the sitcom. Though the shows won't even air at the exact same time, I'm still curious about which program is more appealing to you. So tell us, which would you rather watch?

Ashton Kutcher may be taking Charlie Sheen's place on Two and a Half Men, but that doesn't mean Sheen's small-screen days are over. Word on the street is that Sheen is in negotiations for a new sitcom that could air in 2012. There are virtually no additional details; we've got no idea what the show would be about or what network it would air on, so this is very far from a done deal. It gives us some food for thought, though; the media had quite the field day with Sheen earlier this year, and the troubled actor certainly made plenty of colorful comments that audiences won't soon forget. Still, Sheen still seems to have plenty of fans and loyal supporters, and the attention alone could make for big ratings should he actually return to TV. Now the question is - do you want to see Sheen back on the small screen?

UPDATE: It's now official.

The fate of Two and a Half Men has been up in the air for months, but now it appears that CBS may have finally come to a solution: Ashton Kutcher is in final negotiations to replace Charlie Sheen on the hit sitcom. A more formal announcement should come within a few days, but apparently the offer opened up to Kutcher after Hugh Grant passed on the opportunity.

Bringing in Kutcher could be a brilliant move - or it could be the nail in the coffin for Two and a Half Men. On the one hand, Kutcher has potential to bring in a younger, different type of audience, and his attachment alone could be ratings gold when the show returns in the Fall. He's also got plenty of sitcom experience under his belt thanks to That '70s Show. That said, the story line would have to be tweaked, and it's more than likely that loyal fans won't find enough reason to tune in without Sheen. As we wait for more details (and a confirmation), what's your take on the latest casting news?

Among independent voters, Charlie Sheen is winning. Duh. In a recent poll, more independent voters said they would pick Charlie Sheen over Sarah Palin for president by a 41 to 36 margin. Among Democrats, he'd beat Palin by a 44 to 24 point margin. But don't expect to see the unemployed actor and his goddesses in the White House anytime soon, even if he ran against Palin in a tiger-blood-fueled fantasy come true. Among all voters, Palin beats Sheen by 49 to 29. And it might make Palin feel better to know that 24 percent of total voters say they'd choose Charlie Sheen over Barack Obama. Only in America. Sugar Daddy Site Wants Charlie Sheen to Be Its Spokesman
