Gwyneth Paltrow took the weekend off from filming Iron Man 2 for a quick trip to West Palm Beach, where she joined friends Friday to see Chris Martin kick off Coldplay's US tour. Gwyneth's been doing double duty between her latest movie project and GOOP, but she's rumored to be making her life a little simpler by trying to end her contract with Estee Lauder when it comes up for renegotiation soon. Whether she's driving a hard bargain or just focusing on fewer projects near to her heart, Gwyneth seems to be actively making a transition into the next phase of her career.
Gwyneth Supports Chris on His 2-in-1 Night
Chris Martin and Coldplay were on double duty last night, kicking the evening off with a performance at the 2009 Brit Awards before heading over to the 15th anniversary concert for the charity War Child. He and his band went home empty-handed from the Brits, where Duffy cleaned up with three awards, but both he and Gwyneth seemed to be in high spirits after show number two. As usual, Gwyneth and Chris left the event separately — while they may never pose together, their happy faces can help quiet any lingering rumors of trouble.
The Grammys Parties Kept Going Strong Last Night
After a long night of fun-filled performances and red carpet madness, the Grammy attendees headed out in LA to hit up the after party circuit. House Of Hype Island Def Jam threw a bash that drew out Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish as well as Kanye who also made an appearance at Jay-Z's party at Katsuya. Gwyneth Paltrow also headed to the restaurant to see her friend Jay-Z who had an awesome on stage collaboration with Chris Martin.
The Grammys Bust Out Memorable Performances Galore
The Grammys may seem like one of the longest shows of Award Season, but last night they mixed it up with some exciting performances. The show kicked off with U2 starring Bono, but the absence of Chris Brown and Rihanna was quickly felt. Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Keith Urban and Boyz II Men all stepped in to form a hodge podge second performance of the night while the young couple dealt with assault allegations and drama.
