The 65th Cannes Film Festival is underway, with stars stepping out for glamorous events each day. Brad Pitt hit the red carpet looking hot in a classic tux while Diane Kruger emerged in a white feathered Nina Ricci gown for the premiere of Killing Them Softly with Joshua Jackson. Kristen Stewart and Kirsten Dunst linked up for the On the Road photocall and Robert Pattinson hit the red carpet dressed up in a suit to support Kristen's big Cannes premiere. Vanity Fair and Gucci hosted a glamorous bash at the Hotel Du Cap during the Cannes Film Festival in France on Satruday. Naomi Watts stepped out for the affair after partying at Calvin Klein's fete on Thursday with Diane Kruger and Jessica Chastain. Jennifer Connelly, in a black Gucci dress, and husband Paul Bettany showed up following a red-carpet appearance for Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted during the day. Alec Baldwin and fiancée Hilaria Thomas joined in on the fun, as did Chris Pine and his girlfriend, Dominique Piek. Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault were back in the spotlight following their own red-carpet run that afternoon, and Ed Westwick made a statement in black tie. The 2012 Cannes Film Festival opened today with the premiere of Moonrise Kingdom at the Palais des Festivals. Juror Diane Kruger was gorgeous in a pale blue gown after making an appearance this morning in a strappy Versus minidress. Eva Longoria, who is on hand with the festival's official makeup brand, L'Oréal, commanded the long red carpet in Marchesa. Jessica Chastain made her 2012 Cannes debut in white Alexander McQueen while Freida Pinto went with a pale pink strapless number. It's the beginning of more than a week of glamour in France and we're on the ground bringing you the action as it happens. Isla Fisher Has an Animated Conversation With Alec Baldwin and Chris Pine in Cannes

Dreamworks' next animated project, Rise of the Guardians, hits theaters this holiday season, but the film's starring voices Isla Fisher, Alec Baldwin, and Chris Pine were happy to talk about the film during a Q&A session with press in Cannes today. The trio are just a few of the stars in the ensemble cast, along with Hugh Jackman and Jude Law. The movie chronicles the so-called guardians - Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and more - in their fight to save the children of the world from an evil spirit, voiced by Jude. Guardians will likely be a project Isla can share with her daughters, Olive and Elula.

Alec is in France with fiancée Hilaria Thomas, and he's actually doing double-duty. In addition to press for Guardians, Alec is filming the documentary Seduced and Abandoned. He and writer-director James Toback are capturing the process involved in raising funds and selling an idea at Cannes. It seems Alec's turning his attention to film with news that 30 Rock will air its final episode next Fall in an abbreviated 13-episode season.

Gwen Stefani and Her Boys Join Other Famous Families For a Kid-Friendly Bash

Yesterday morning, stars and their families came out to support the third annual Milk and Bookies event at the Skirball Cultural Center in LA. Chris Pine, Gwen Stefani, Julie Bowen, and Eric Stonestreet were among the celebrities who lent their voices to the cause by sharing some of their favorite children's stories with the kids. The nonprofit, which focuses on promoting philanthropy at a young age through book donations, got going bright and early and offered a fun-filled day with no shortage of milk, cookies, and - of course - tons of reading.

Gwen's son Kingston walked the carpet with her, while Zuma was a little camera shy. Julie Bowen balanced her sons John and Gus while her third boy, Oliver, wasted no time heading into the action. New Girl's Max Greenfield also brought his 3-year-old daughter out and told us he'd have to hold her back from her crush Chris Pine. Chris Pine Joins Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto on the Set of Star Trek

Star Trek 2 costars Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana hopped on the back of a golf cart in LA yesterday and got a ride to the set. The pair arrived in their street clothes, though last week we saw Zoe battling enemies in her sexy uniform. Zachary was also on location and ready for another day of work on the J.J. Abrams directed sequel. He was spotted leaving the makeup trailer in his trademark Spock ears and looking over his lines.

The weekend gave Zoe, Chris, and Zachary a break from filming long enough to enjoy and participate in the official end to award season. Chris made an appearance at the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday while Zachary walked the red carpet at Sunday's Oscar ceremony. Zoe slipped into a Marios Schwab party dress, and hung out with boyfriend Bradley Cooper at Vanity Fair's annual post-Oscar bash.

This Means War's wide release is today, and the rom-com stars Brit hottie Tom Hardy and Star Trek's Chris Pine as two CIA buddies fighting over (a very lucky) Reese Witherspoon. Reese, Tom, and Chris Team Up to Show This Means War in LA

Reese Witherspoon joined her This Means War leading men on the red carpet at their LA premiere last night. She was decked out in a strapless dress from Miu Miu to sign autographs for fans and pose for pictures with "Piney" and Tom, who brought along his British actress fiancée Charlotte Riley. Reese, Chris, and Tom were together last weekend for their junket as well. We caught up with the trio there, and Reese joked about the challenges of choosing one of the two guys, Chris or Tom, in the movie. Yesterday, Reese talked about having more kids. She said, "I would love that!"

Chelsea Handler, who plays Reese's BFF, didn't pose with her costars. Instead, she made her way solo down the press line, and joked with us about her relationships with Reese, Chris, and Tom. When asked which actor, Chris or Tom, she would pick if given the choice, Chelsea went with Mr. Hardy since she's a big fan of muscles.
