Christian Shows Off His Size and Smile
Christian Bale looked chipper Thursday as he grabbed coffees and snacks from a Starbucks in LA. He seems to be getting back to a healthier size after losing lots of weight for The Fighter last Spring, so all those coffee drinks must be doing the trick. Christian has even more work to do before getting back into superhero shape, with production of the next Batman movie scheduled to start in the next year.

He's lost weight for his role as a drug addicted boxer, which is quite the contrast to his beefed-up costar Mark Wahlberg. Christian will have a reason to put the pounds back on if he reprises his role in the next Batman movie, which is apparently set to start filming next year.

Mark Wahlberg stripped down to show off his abs and bloody face on the set of The Fighter in Massachusetts yesterday. That six-pack is part of what made him famous all those years ago in his Calvin Klein ads and the shirtless Marky Mark showed that he hasn't let himself go. Meanwhile, his costar Christian Bale's dramatic weight loss was turning heads too as he throws himself into the role.

Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale were both decked out in their 80s fashion on the set of The Fighter in Massachusetts yesterday. Mark's bloody face and bruises are already living up to the movie's title, though it's Christian who looks a little worse for the wear. Bale is known for the transformations he makes for movies and this time he appears to have dropped a noticeable amount of weight already to play a boxer who becomes a drug addict.

Emmeline was too adorable in her one-piece, and apparently the little one has a love for Paul Frank. Johnny Depp looked dapper all dressed up in pinstripes with his costar Christian Bale at the Public Enemies premiere in Chicago last night. Marion Cotillard looked lovely in a summery pink dress while Christian's wife Sibi kept it simple in black. Johnny stopped to sign autographs for his very enthusiastic and screaming fans in the city where the bank robber and main character, John Dillenger, did his damage.

Christian Bale donned another dark suit for the premiere of Terminator: Salvation in Paris yesterday. His female costars Moon Bloodgold and Bryce Dallas Howard smiled by his side, but as usual Christian's leading lady was his wife Sibi. The movie failed to earn the top box office spot over Memorial Day weekend in the US, so we'll have to see how the newest installment in the saga does overseas.

After his rant, Christian's been cautious about doing press for the movie, though most of you don't hold the incident against him. While he's never one to be lighthearted, he's even tentatively joking about the on-set blowup.

Christian Bale carried his daughter Emmeline's backpack and jacket as he and Sibi picked her up at school earlier this week. When he's being a family man, it's hard to associate Christian with the infamous rant that got him in so much trouble earlier this year. He's supposedly avoiding doing press for Terminator Salvation because he doesn't want to be asked about it.
