Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again, in NYC

The most musical movie hitting the theaters this Friday, Mamma Mia, premiered in NYC last night. The stars were all out and full of smiles including Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried who play the mother daughter pair at the center of the film. It's hard to say who looked more dapper, Pierce Brosnan or Colin Firth, handsome in suits before watching themselves sing and dance on the big screen. From what I hear, this movie is loads of fun! MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play. Charlie Wilson's War Goes All Black in NYC

Last night's NYC screening of Charlie Wilson's War was a formal affair with not a whole lot of color at all on the red carpet. Tom Hanks was there with one of his costars and fellow Golden Globe nominees, Philip Seymour Hoffman, but not Julia Roberts. While their leading lady wasn't around, a breakthrough redheaded actress with a gorgeous smile (and GG acting nominee) Amy Adams looked great in her LBD. Meanwhile, always love Steve Martin - even though my disdain for fedoras is no big secret he looks kinda awesome in his. Considering the recognition that Tom, Philip and Amy are getting for their roles this year, methinks we'll be seeing a lot of them in fancy wear as award season ramps up.

The Stars of Mamma Mia! Dance Down the Blue Carpet

Mamma Mia! invaded London last night for the world premiere of the movie musical. Meryl Streep proved she's still got it in her fiery red dress and Loubs, even catching the attention of handsome Piece Brosnan while producer Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson smiled big for the cameras. Amanda Seyfried lit up the night in her little green number, though she sounds even more excited about her Vanity Fair cover than her new film. Kennedy Honors One Wild and Crazy Guy Among Others

Last night celebs headed to DC to celebrate five stars from different areas of the entertainment industry with Kennedy Center Honors. Cameron Diaz looked fabulous in her funky strapless dress to present Martin Scorsese with an award for his directorial work. Jordin Sparks (is it just us or is she already looking thinner?) and Vanessa Williams were in the house to pay homage to honoree Diana Ross by performing her songs, while musicians Brian Wilson and Steve Fleischer also walked away with medals around their necks. Steve Carell honored one of our favorite funny men Steve Martin and of course threw in a few of his own jokes, saying, "His act was that of an idiot savant, minus the savant. He's a national treasure in the loosest sense of the term."

We've definitely been missing Steve Carell on The Office, but we're glad that we're still getting a dose of his humor during the show's hiatus. Lots more pics including Aretha Franklin, Martin Short, and Ciara so just read more
