Last night's Time 100 gala not only celebrated its 2012 list of most influential people, but it also drew an insanely influential crowd to its party. While we were hoping that list honorees Pippa and Kate Middleton would surprise us all with an appearance, we were just as pleased to spot the likes of Claire Danes in head-to-toe Lanvin and Rihanna in a princess-worthy pink Marchesa dress and Christian Louboutin heels. But they weren't the only ones to impress us with their red-carpet style - Kristen Wiig donned a black lace Stella McCartney jumpsuit and Gucci T-bar sandals, Georgina Chapman posed in one of her own frothy white frocks, and Lauren Bush stunned in a chic white floor-length gown. Suffice it to say, the evening was not short on glamour or A-list power. Now, it's time for you to decide who earned the title of Time 100 gala's best-dressed attendee.

Time magazine celebrated its 100 Most Influential People last night with a huge bash held inside Jazz at Lincoln Center. Honorees like Kristen Wiig, Chelsea Handler, Claire Danes, Hillary Clinton, Tilda Swinton, and Rihanna all turned out for the mingling and partying. Stephen Colbert, who also made the list, gave opening remarks. He gave shout-outs to Kristen and Spanx creator Sara Blakely. Stephen joked, "Kristen, congratulations on the Time 100. Lovely to see you. Her movie, Bridesmaids, huge success, and proved once and for all to the Hollywood boys club that women can have explosive diarrhea, too - you are a feminist icon. Brava, madam. But perhaps the most influential person on the list is here, Sara Blakely, the inventor of the Spanx . . . No one, no one has done more to control women's bodies, except maybe [Catholic] Cardinal Dolan."

It seems the jokes and good times continued for the honorees, who happily posed for photos together. A Stella McCartney-clad Kristen Wiig made the rounds talking to her funny friends like Seth Meyers, Amy Poehler, Louis CK, and Aubrey Plaza. Rihanna hit the red carpet in a pink Marchesa gown before changing to perform on stage, while Claire Danes donned Lanvin to hang out backstage. Secretary of State Clinton may have been the most popular, though, as she shook hands and said hello to NY Knicks player Jeremy Lin, Amy, Chelsea, Harvey Weinstein, Barbara Walters, Matt Lauer, Tyra Banks, and more!

Claire Danes donned a pink Narciso Rodriguez dress yesterday to support her husband Hugh Dancy at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of his movie Hysteria. The couple are usually press-shy and didn't pose for any pictures together. Hugh was one of the only members of his movie's cast to attend. His leading lady, Maggie Gyllenhaal, is expecting her second child in the coming weeks with husband Peter Sarsgaard. This year's Tribeca is unusually special for Hugh, as he's a member of the jury. He's also doing double duty, appearing in the play Venus in Fur. Last night, though, there was no scheduled performance. Today Claire Danes turns 33! While the birthday girl is all grown up these days as the star of Homeland and wife to hot actor Hugh Dancy, we will always remember Claire as the angsty teen heroine of My So-Called Life, Angela Chase. As one of our favorite '90s starlets, Claire's portrayal of Angela gave us someone we could relate to growing up. She went through the same friend dramas, family conflict, and, of, course, young love ups and downs we faced in those terrible in-between years of high school. HBO's Girls Premieres With Creator Lena Dunham, Producer Judd Apatow, and Famous Fans

HBO's new series Girls premiered at the School of Visual Arts Theater in NYC. The series is the brainchild of Lena Dunham, whose first big movie Tiny Furniture debuted in 2010. The film caught the eye of Judd Apatow, who reached out to Lena to see if she needed help with any projects. Their friendship helped bring Girls to TV, and Judd worked closely with Lena on the 10 episodes of the first season. The program centers around the friendships of four ladies living in NYC, and the plot has raised some inevitable comparisons to HBO's other landmark series about Big Apple women - Sex and the City. Girls, though, is a grittier look at the lives of 20-somethings and the mistakes they make, both personally and professionally.

Lena also stars in the show, along with Allison Williams, Zosia Mamet, and Jemima Kirke. Plenty of famous friends came out to support the cast, including a Preen-clad Claire Danes, Kyra Sedgwick, and Kevin Bacon. Allison, whose father is NBC's Brian Williams, wore a gorgeous white Donna Karan dress and Kwiat jewels. Zosia also has a well-known dad, writer David Mamet, and Jemima's father was in the band Bad Company! Brian and his wife Jane swung by the afterparty at the Standard Hotel.

Lena spoke to us last night about when Judd first reached out to her. She said, "I thought that it was a prank when Judd first got in touch with me. I thought my friend Isabel was emailing me using this weird technology that lets you pretend your email address is someone else's email address!"
