Clive Davis Gets the Pre-Party Started With Grammy Favorites

Before the Grammys took over last night, the stars got a chance to get warmed up at Clive Davis's annual pre-party on Saturday night. Whitney Houston gave her all up on stage, along with Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Leona Lewis. Chris and Rihanna looked lovey dovey and happy, just a few hours before his shocking alleged assault. Kanye, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus looked happy to rub elbows and save their voices for Sunday night as the celebs enjoyed their weekend of amazing music.

The Stars Prep Their Vocal Chords For the Grammys

While Justin Timberlake and T.I. were filming their new music video yesterday, some of the other Grammy performers and nominees were in LA getting ready for the big show. Jennifer Hudson practiced for Saturday night's Clive Davis party, where she'll be performing a duet with a surprise guest before taking the stage again Sunday. Presenter Jack Black tried on a fun hat, while the Jonas brothers - who are up for Best New Artist - signed autographs. Nick Lachey and Jordin Sparks both had smiles on their faces as everyone enjoyed the pre-Grammy celebrations. Posh Celebrates Jennifer Hudson and Talks Haircuts

After showing the love for Marc Jacobs at his Fashion Week show, Victoria Beckham cozied up to her designer friend at a party celebrating Jennifer Hudson's upcoming album last night. You're all loving her new super-short hair, and Posh is enjoying her new look too. She said, "I wanted to pull my hair back from my face and have always loved the idea of having a gamine crop. I spent a long time looking at the great fashion haircuts of the 90's and went to Garren, the master of those cuts, to create our modern interpretation of this look. I love it!" Clive Gets the Grammy Party Started . . . With Whitney

Clive Davis helped kick off the Grammys with his annual pre-show party on Saturday at the Beverly Hilton in LA. The appearance of the night was, of course, Whitney Houston who looked fabulous on the red carpet and with her wardrobe change inside. The icon was joined at the party by Lindsay Lohan in seafoam green and Rihanna in a very full-coverage number. Nicole and Joel were pulling double duty coming from the LACMA party to pose with the likes of Fergie and Pete/Ashlee. Miss Carrie Underwood was there with her boyfriend Chace Crawford, but he managed to avoid the cameras. Boo that. Inside, the party-goers were treated to performances from all-star acts like Alicia Keys, the Foo Fighters, Daughtry, and Leona Lewis. At one point Akon and Will.i.am took the stage for singing and backflips. I'm sure they were all home nice and early to get a good night's sleep before last night's Grammys. Suuuure.

Celebrities Enjoy La Dolce Vita

All sorts of random celebrities came out on Thursday night for the La Dolce Vita Benefit for the Sarah Ferguson Foundation at Cipriani in NYC. The original Fergie happily posed on the red carpet with an equally excited Brandy and Natasha Bedingfield. LL Cool J asserted his status as number one. Meanwhile, what happened to Jason Lewis' hotness? Where did it go? Hopefully it'll be back in full Absolut Hunk mode in the Sex and the City movie. I wonder if Natasha sang the song that will forever be The Hills theme song in my mind? Fun times.

Christmas Comes Early For Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson glowed in green yesterday as she performed at an event honoring Clive Davis, where he won an award for Music Visionary of the Year. Jennifer is definitely not showing signs of disappearing after her big Oscar win. She's already made tons of appearances and performances at a variety of different events, and her next movie Winged Creatures is due out next year. In the meantime, Jennifer has signed on to perform on Elmo's Christmas Countdown, a one hour special that includes Ben Stiller, Jamie Foxx and Alicia Keys. Somewhere in between all this she even found time to create her own perfume for Avon. There's no slowing this AI contestant down.

Welcome Back Whitney!

We are the biggest fan of a comeback but we never would have guessed that Whitney Houston would have done one so quickly. The singer dropped her bad habit and her dead beat (but hilarious husband) Bobby Brown and BAM - check her out. Ms Whitney came out for the 17th Annual Carousel of Hope Ball. The event is a benefit for juvenile diabetes where Clive Davis and Quincy Jones were also both honored. But Whitney was what everyone was really talking about. The girl glowed, looking happy and healthy and is clearly doing very well post-Bobby. Apparently Clive and Whitney are working on a big comeback album, and we're crossing our fingers that she sounds as good as she looks! Go Whitney!

The Grammy Awards have come and gone, but before there were winners and losers, Clive Davis threw his annual bash for the beautiful and lucky nominees. Overall, everyone looked gorgeous as Ashlee Simpson continued to morph into someone else entirely (albeit a good looking someone else) and Rihanna showed off those famous curves (the dress may, in fact, be painted on). But seriously girls, can we lay off the Tang-inspired skin tone?
