Courtney Love Shares Her Family Secrets With Vanity Fair

Courtney Love isn't holding back any secrets. In the upcoming November issue of Vanity Fair, Courtney shares her thoughts on her late husband and her daughter, even going so far as to show the writer of the piece a page from her estranged daughter Frances Bean Cobain's diary. Here are a few things we learned from Courtney in a preview of the article:

She's not afraid to share her daughter's diary with the reporter: "This is her diary," Love explains. "I just want you to look at this one page," which contains a list titled, "Things That Make Me Smile."

She'd kill her dead husband, Kurt Cobain: "Mad? Ya think?! If he came back right now I'd have to kill him, for what he did to us. I'd f*cking kill him. I'd f*ck him, and then I'd kill him."

Kurt tried to kill himself multiple times: "He tried to kill himself three times!"

She claims she didn't teach her daughter to read until she was 7: "It was my fault! I never read to her! . . . Why didn't I ever take her to a Broadway show? She f*cking loved those Broadway musicals!"

Frances, who emancipated herself from Courtney two years ago, told the magazine that her mother's statements were inaccurate. Kate Winslet Honors Mario Testino at a Bash With Josh Hartnett and Sophia Lie

Mario Testino was the guest of honor last night at a gala thrown by the Latin American museum El Museo de Barrio at NYC's Cipriani restaurant. Kate Winslet, who just worked with Mario on a new round of ads for Lancôme, introduced the photographer and presented him with a silver Asprey tray that had been signed by friends like Sienna Miller, Julia Roberts, and Demi Moore. The Narciso Rodriguez-clad actress started with a joke, saying, "The two other Kates, Kate Moss and Kate Middleton, were unavailable so you have to make do with me." Mario, who confessed that his favorite person he ever worked with was Princess Diana, spoke for the first time about lensing Prince William and Kate Middleton's engagement pictures. He said of the shoot, "You know, it's not so much what they say to each other because there is no time. Everything is compacted into a very short time because we have to produce these pictures. It's more like me screaming and trying to get everything to go - well, not screaming, but getting in a fluster, I guess you say . . . They are a young couple in love." Affection was in the air for John Legend and Chrissy Teigen as well as fellow attendee Josh Hartnett, who hung out with his girlfriend, Sophia Lie, when he wasn't catching up with fashion heavyweights like Anna Wintour and Donatella Versace.

Emma, Blake, Thandie, and Alexa Step Out in Style For Elle

Award season continued last night at London's Elle Style Awards. It was another star-studded turnout, after last year's celebration attracted the likes of Kristen Stewart and Carey Mulligan. Rumored new face of Lancôme Emma Watson donned a pale pink Hakaan dress to accept the top honor for Style Icon, just one day after she wore another fabulous gown, a Valentino, to the BAFTAs. Emma accepted her statue from designer Vivienne Westwood and said from the stage, "It feels amazing. Fashion is something that I love. I try not to think about it too much. I try and block all that off and I just do what I love and just have fun with it. I’ve definitely been feeling the pressure a bit more recently but it’s just fun for me." Joining Emma were other fashionable ladies like an Emilio Pucci-clad Blake Lively, who traveled from NYC to pick up the Best TV Star statue during a break from filming Gossip Girl. A fresh from Fashion Week Alexa Chung looked ladylike in Yves St. Laurent on her way inside, while Thandie Newton arrived in a printed purple Louis Vuitton.

Shia Does the Late Show Solo, His Wall Street 2 Premiere Alongside Carey, and an Afterparty With Mary-Kate and Ashley

The stars of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps gathered in NYC last night for their big premiere at the Ziegfeld Theater. Real-life loves Carey Mulligan and Shia LaBeouf walked the red carpet separately, but they caused a stir and screams from fans when they joined Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon, and Michael Douglas for a group photo. Michael, who is in the middle of a battle against cancer, bravely turned out with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones to support his latest movie with director Oliver Stone. Shia lingered at the press line well after the screening began, seeming happy to shoulder the promotional duties for both himself and Michael. We had a minute to speak with Shia about his adventures in investing his own money, and he also spoke about working with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on Transformers 3. He said, "She's great! This is going to be the best Transformers yet."

The gang moved on next to the afterparty at Cipriani on 42nd Street, where Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen broke from their fashion duties and preparations for their Paris show to toast Carey. Mary-Kate and Ashley also had some celebrating to do after finally selling the NYC apartment they've had on the market for five years. Shia had previously started the day by ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange with Carey, then he went solo to keep the interviews coming at The Late Show. His chat with David Letterman airs on Friday, the same day their film hits theaters.

Robert Pattinson as Kurt Cobain - Spot on or so Wrong?

First it was Ewan McGregor. Then James McAvoy. Now, Robert Pattinson is the third Brit whose name has been thrown into the ring to play Kurt Cobain in the upcoming biopic of the Nirvana front man's life. If The Sun is to be believed (and I'm not saying it is), Courtney Love has her heart set on Pattinson to play her former husband, with Scarlett Johansson as her own likeness. I'm going to wait for some real confirmation before I make a decision, but what are your initial thoughts on Pattinson as Cobain - spot on or so wrong?

Celebrities Airing Dirty Laundry on Twitter: Love It or Leave It?

You already know that I am not a fan of Twitter TMI. It's not that I don't like you and want to know what you're up to, but some things are better said IRL. And some things, well, they're better left unsaid. Celebrities are definitely not immune to oversharing their business on Twitter. Trust me, it is never OK to broadcast a pic of your wife's backside to the Twitterverse - ahem, Ashton!

Despite their millions of followers and a brand to uphold, celebrity Twitter blunders keep on happening - will the rich and famous ever learn? Not this week, that's for sure. In one corner, we've got quite the Twitter war waging between musicians Courtney Love and Lily Allen. The pair's longstanding feud got taken to a whole 'nother level when Lily posted a not-so-nice twitpic of Courtney. This sent Courtney into what can only be described as Twitter rage. In 30+ tweets and still counting, Courtney has dragged Lily through the mud, leaving nothing off limits. Ouch.

But it's not all bad between celebs on Twitter. King of the overshare, John Mayer and pop princess, Ke$ha are getting their flirt on in a very public way. I think we'll have to accept that despite the apologies, you can't put a cap on John.

Famous or not, this is all too much for me to handle, but I have a handful of friends that like it when celebrities overshare on Twitter - it makes them feel like they have an insider's view into a celeb's life. There are many celebs, like Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, who have even admitted that part of the reason they share so much on Twitter is to upstage the tabloids by sharing with their fans directly.
