Kate, Nicole and Eva Share the Spotlight With CNN's Heroes

Anderson Cooper was the man of the evening on Saturday as he hosted the annual CNN Heroes Awards. The ceremony honored ten individuals who go above and beyond with their contribution to the world, and each was introduced to the crowd by a celebrity guest. Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, and Eva Mendes were a few of the ladies on hand to do the honors, while Carrie Underwood performed. The evening's biggest award, CNN's Hero of the Year, went to Efren Peñaflorida because of his efforts to bring education to underprivileged children in the Philippines. Kate and Nicole took the evening off from promoting Nine, though they were both out again last night for the American Music Awards. The ladies were joined by other actors like Neil Patrick Harris and Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and we'll be able to see the whole show when it airs Thanksgiving evening.

Michelle, Rachel, and Mindy Glam Up NBC's TCA Party

NBC and Bravo had their chance to play party host in Pasadena last night for the TCAs. Michelle Trachtenberg could only stay for a second before heading to her mom's birthday party, but she still dished even more on Gossip Girl - check out the exclusive interview in today's PopSugar Rush! Most of the cast of The Office came out to support their show, and Mindy Kaling even gave Buzz the scoop on the upcoming Jim and Pam wedding! Rachel Zoe and her husband also posed on the red carpet as they gear up for season two of Rachel's show and the launch of her newsletter. The Men Keep It Classy and Classic For Golden Globes

There weren't a whole lot of bright colors for the men on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes but if it ain't broke, there's no use in fixing it. Even without taking any chances, the boys looked great on a sunny LA day that allowed for some of them to sport their sunglasses. Tom Cruise looked fantastic as his wife was performing her last show on Broadway before immediately heading to LA to meet up with her husband for the after parties. Brad Pitt didn't leave Angelina's side while Leonardo had Kate Winslet on his arm for the photos. Some of our favorite TV stars like Jon Hamm, David Duchovny, and Kiefer Sutherland got to mingle with the big screen elite and everyone cleaned up well for the big show. The Office Convention Just Keeps Getting Cooler

Have you booked your tickets to Scranton yet? The Office Convention is now less than two weeks away, and the lineup of visiting guests is making this event a must-attend for serious Dunder Mifflin-heads.

As of today, almost the entire supporting cast of is scheduled to attend the Oct. 26-28 events, from Creed Bratton to Angela Kinsey to Mindy Kaling (Kelly). Executive producer Greg Daniels will also be in attendance, bringing with him writers Paul Lieberstein (Toby) and Craig Robinson (Darryl). So far, it's not looking like any of the big four (Steve Carell, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski) will make the trip - but who needs them when you've got Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration?

The organizers have put together a truly inspired schedule of events, including a live Today Show broadcast with Al Roker, a character look-alike contest, the Office Olympics, and, yes, a Casino Night. Tickets range from $25 ("the intern") to $250 ("corporate"), with varying numbers of events, cast appearances and VIP parties included in each.

So, who's going to be Buzz's Electric City correspondent for the weekend?

Thanks to Best Week Ever for pointing out how handsome Creed from "The Office" is in the photos from NBC's Upfronts.
Thank you, Movie Blog, for telling me about Ewan McGregor and Chiwetel Ejiofor starring in a stage production of Othello near London, starting in November. So, I have a few months to plan my trip to London.

Popwatch asks the crucial "Lost" question I've also wondered frequently this season.

Rocking Out with "The Office"

Last week's holiday episode of "The Office" featured so many priceless karaoke moments. Among my favorites were Kevin's deadpan rendition of "You Oughta Know," Angela's thundering take on "Little Drummer Boy," and Kelly's "We belong together ... Ryan!" But this may be the best story of them all: It turns out Creed was singing his own song.

In his other life, Creed Bratton, the actor who plays Creed, is Creed Bratton: Rocker. He was in a group called The Grass Roots in the '60s, and he has since released three solo albums. The song he performed on the show was "Spinnin' N Reelin,'" from his album The 80's. You can hear a clip of the song - or even buy the whole album - here.

I can't get over how much more exuberant Creed sounds on the recorded clip than he did on the show. I think of him as the gross old curmudgeon who steals toys from needy children, so the bright guitars and synth-heavy beats on his album just crack me up.

Meanwhile, John Mayer talks about his decision to let Michael Scott have his way with "Your Body is a Wonderland." In exchange for letting the show use his song for the Karaoke party, Mayer asked for a Dundie Award.
