We're knee-deep into our award season coverage, and next up, we have the Critics' Choice Awards happening tonight at 8 p.m. EST on VH1. Consider last night's People's Choice Awards as the appetizer and this evening's extravaganza as the main course in red-carpet style. Are You Interested in the Smaller Awards of Awards Season?

Now that awards season is fully revving up, all sorts of nominations are coming out, e.g. the Independent Spirit Awards announcement two weeks ago or tomorrow's Golden Globes list. (Check in early for that, as I'll be posting all of the nods). Just this morning, the Critics' Choice nominees were released, with Inglourious Basterds and Nine earning a record-breaking ten nods each.

I know that not everyone follows the Critics' Choice Awards or perhaps the American Film Institute's honors (which were also just announced), but I enjoy checking out their lists as a sort of sneak peek for the bigger name honors later in the season. While Inglourious Basterds hasn't been leading the pack for Academy Awards buzz, this news makes me curious to see if Brad Pitt and his rebels pop up again as the awards nods keep rolling in.

No Country, Juno Take Top Honors at Critics' Choice Awards

No Country for Old Men was named best picture and Juno took home the award for best comedy Monday night at the 13th annual Critics' Choice Awards.

No Country also picked up awards for directors Joel and Ethan Coen and star Javier Bardem, who won the Best Supporting Actor category. Juno, meanwhile, got a second award for its screenwriter, Diablo Cody.

The Men Are Back in Black at the Critics' Choice Awards

While the women went for the gold, the men hit the red carpet in a very traditional black look at the Critics' Choice Awards. Could this be what we should be expecting tonight at the Golden Globes? The photos below are a small representation of the many men that walked the red carpet ranging from Clint Eastwood to John Heder. Ben has some kind of smirk on his face while Leo is looking very well rested and tan. We showed you Ryan (with Rachel) before but since he has a special place in our heart he gets the double post. Finally, checkout Sacha Baron Cohen - he looks so normal compared to his Borat character. Which do you prefer?

The Critics' Choice Are All Sunshine and Dreamgirls

Award show season is in full swing and at Friday night's 12th annual Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica, Little Miss Sunshine and Dreamgirls were the big winners. Both films scored 4 awards, and the adorable Abigail Breslin won for best young actress. We're hoping this means we'll just get to see more and more of the darling little girl. The Departed won the top awards for both best picture and best director. Hurray for Scorsese and his boys!

The ladies glittered in gold on the red carpet this weekend at the Critics' Choice Awards. Not only did Jennifer Hudson bring home an award for best supporting actress, but she glowed in gold along with Sienna and Penelope. Perfectly fit, Jennifer Garner and Jessica Biel looked fabulous as always. Finally, we already posted Rachel (with Ryan) but since she's so cute and can somehow manage to pull off the pink hair thing we'll post her twice.

The Critics' Choice Television Awards Make Winners Out of Mad Men and Modern Family

The first annual Critics' Choice Television Awards brought together some of TV's best this afternoon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The shows that took home the biggest wins of the day were best drama series Mad Men and best comedy series Modern Family, but many individual actors were honored for their work as well. Busy Philipps embraced Elijah Wood, who presented her with her statuette for best supporting actress in a comedy, before giving an emotional speech on the podium. Sarah Michelle Gellar also took the stage to dole out an honor as she gears up for her own return to the small screen this Fall. She'll star in the new show The Ringer, which requires her to play dual roles as twin sisters on the CW. Lots of stars took advantage of the chance to catch up and pose for pictures backstage. Busy cracked jokes with The Office's B.J. Novak, Jon Hamm got silly with his best leading actor in a drama award, and Modern Family's Sarah Hyland said hello to Community's Danny Pudi. TV fans who want to see all of today's action unfold can tune into the Critics' Choice Television Awards this Wednesday night at 8 p.m., EDT, on the Reelz Channel.
