The red carpet at last night's New Moon premiere was a busy place, but the film's female stars stood out in their gorgeous dresses. The Afterparties Don't Stop For the New Moon Crew and LL

The New Moon afterparty fun kicked off with a photo shoot and drinks for Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner, but the show soon moved over to Teddy's in Hollywood. It just so happened that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson met up at the club at the same time that Kellan Lutz hopped out of his limo to head inside. He stopped to say hi to Samantha before having a little trouble entering the private Twilight area. Dakota Fanning flashed her big smile as she headed toward the bash, while Ashley Greene showed off her second dress of the evening. Robert Pattinson, meanwhile, smiled as he talked to reporters and played with a Bella doll. Kristen wasn't out to join the fun, but she was on The Tonight Show yesterday - check out her lengthy interview below!

Ashley and Dakota Spread Out Around LA Before Their Premiere

The big LA premiere of New Moon is this evening, and the film's stars all gathered there over the weekend to prep for the red carpet. As Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart made their way back from their final press duties in Europe, Dakota Fanning and Ashley Greene were in California laying relatively low. Ashley joined a few friends for dinner at Beso on Saturday night, as her former mall tour buddy Kellan Lutz wrapped things up with Bronson Pelletier. While Ashley and Kellan were in San Franciso last week, they had a chance to sit down with Buzz - check out their interview. Dakota, meanwhile, was out yesterday for the First Star Celebration for Children's Rights, which is held to raise funds to protect abused kids. The girls spent their days off in different styles, but Ashley and Dakota will be reunited this evening to smile for the cameras along with the other Cullens and Volturi.

Dakota Fanning Has Fans in Kristen Stewart and Teen Vogue

Dakota Fanning got all dressed up for the upcoming December/January issue of Teen Vogue. She isn't the first member of the film's cast to appear on the cover of the magazine, after Taylor Lautner's turn a few months ago. Dakota had a busy weekend at their press conference in LA, where we got lots of amazing one-on-one time with the cast - more of that to follow. She found time recently to sit down and open up about growing up in Hollywood and joining the Twilight gang. Kristen Stewart even weighed in about working with Dakota. Here's more:

On prepping for her role in New Moon: "I wasn’t in my mirror like Zoolander, doing Blue Steel! The red contacts were enough. I read all four Twilight books in one week. It’s such a phenomenon and I wanted to be able to be a part of that."
On maturing in Hollywood: "I’m going to get older. . . And I want to act for the rest of my life - it’s what I love - so I have to move forward with my career. The choices that I make might not always please everyone, but I have to do what I feel is appropriate and right for the time."
On acting out: "I get my rebellion out through my movies. I’m boring in that way. I enjoy having a normal life."
Kristen on Dakota: "Dakota is one of the most consistent actors I’ve ever worked with. I’m always better with her."

Dakota Keeps Celebrating and Smiling Before New Moon

Dakota Fanning spent yesterday afternoon snacking with friends at a Johnny Rockets in LA - shop her look here. She has reason to take it easy and celebrate a little after being crowned homecoming princess over the weekend. The exciting times aren't set to stop anytime soon for Dakota, as the release of New Moon is only a few weeks away. Her costars from the film are all over the world already, from Robert's jaunt to Japan to Kristen and Taylor's latest stop on Mexico. This weekend Dakota will take part in the full cast press day, and we're looking for your questions - yesterday was all about the Volturi, so ask away and win!

Dakota Goes From Homecoming Princess to Twilight Star

Dakota Fanning took the field to perform with her cheerleading squad before being named homecoming princess Friday night in LA. She smiled big and proudly donned her tiara with a football player on her arm. It's her second year as a high school cheerleader, and this season Dakota probably has a few envious squad mates since she landed her role in the Twilight saga movies - and got to hang out with shirtless Robert Pattinson in Italy, for example. We'll get to see Dakota as Jane on the big screen in just a few more weeks when New Moon hits theaters and before then on the red carpets when she trades in her uniform for premiere dresses and joins her costars who have already started promotion.

Dakota Takes a Break From Work on Eclipse

Dakota Fanning was on the go earlier today as she caught a flight out of the Vancouver airport. She's been up in Canada for the past few weeks working hard on Eclipse, though she's had time to take breaks and explore the city. There are only about 50 days until we get to see her in action when New Moon hits theaters, but for now we'll have to be content with the new posters for the film and our sneak peek at Dakota as the vampire Jane.
