Saw IV took the top place at the box office this weekend, followed by Dan in Real Life and 30 Days of Night. Guess that means Saw V is unavoidable - BuzzSugar
Oprah tearfully apologized to the parents of students in her South African girls school after allegations of abuse against teachers and administrators. Hopefully the school will recover from this scandal and continue to bring education to the girls who need it. - South Africa News 24
Natalie Portman had a hard time getting a table at a top NYC restaurant even when she flashed her cute smile and asked them "Are you sure?" Apparently they couldn't totally resist and made some room for her and her boyfriend at the lounge. - Page Six
Michelle Williams is apparently thinking of leaving Brooklyn for Manhattan, as Heath Ledger has already done, because her townhouse is too big for her and Matilda alone. A fresh start is probably what's best for both of them. - Page Six

Michelle Talks About "Man-Eater" Georgina's New Relationship

Michelle Trachtenberg stopped by the opening of Guess's new flagship boutique last night in NYC. She took a night off from work on the new season of Gossip Girl, which will see Georgina return as Blair's roommate at NYU. Michelle has practiced a few scenes with Penn Badgley, so we asked her about a potential relationship between Georgina and Dan. She said:

On whether Georgina dates Dan in the new season: "Georgina is definitely a man-eater. And there will be a man in her life, and it’s a boy that we know. I asked for all three, but Josh Schwartz is a real stickler. He only let me have one. So you’ll have to find out."
On her favorite part about playing Georgina: "She’s phenomenal! I mean to be able to have that sort of crazy behavior, that sort of over-the-top maliciousness, that revenge-seeking everything, but to have someone patting you on the back at the end of the day and say good job and to not have to deal with any repercussions is phenomenal. Also, of course, my wardrobe is out of this world. It’s so fantastic! Eric Daman is a god and it keeps getting better and better every episode. I just had a fitting yesterday and it’s just like, I don’t want to leave."

Michelle played it coy, but it looks like many of the other GG guys are already spoken for on set. She also dished about Georgina's fab nails, so head over to Bella for those details.

Ashlee and the Gossip Girl Cast Keep the Party Going

The stars of the CW were out and about in NYC yesterday following their afternoon at the network's upfronts. Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr and Chace Crawford strolled around the city before getting dressed up for the after-party at the Rose Bar with their Gossip Girl cast-mates Blake Lively, Penn Badgley and Taylor Momsen. Melrose Place's Ashlee Simpson also attended the bash, and she brought Pete along after their fun family afternoon with Bronx. Prior to the evening celebrations, the GG gang opened up about what we can expect to see when their show returns in the Fall. Here's more:

Blake on Chuck and Blair: "Chuck and Blair are finally together, but yet Georgina is back to screw up her life with that major vendetta."
Leighton on next season: "A few other people are going to college. . . I don't know if they're going to stay."
Penn on Dan's letting Nate date Jenny: "He should. Nate's a solid dude. . . I personally think that Dan should relax. Dan is too uptight."

Gossip Girl Is on the Way Back to Our Small Screens

The actors have been hanging out a lot in real life, but we're interested in the drama brewing in front of the cameras. With the return of Georgina Sparks and the aftermath of Dan's scandalous affair, Monday can't come soon enough.

While their Gossip Girl characters aren't together for now, the real life couple is still going strong and gearing up for the holiday season. Even if Serena and Dan didn't share Thanksgiving dinner, maybe Blake and Penn will have the chance to set the table together, especially since Blake's family is such a fan of her boyfriend.

Even a Mexican Getaway Can't Cool Off Penn and Blake

Spotted: Dan Humphrey and Serena Van der Woodsen on a romantic tropical vacation in Cancun - except this time, they weren't acting! They've been a rumored real-life couple for months now, but were caught kissing, splashing and being generally adorable as they showed off those beach bodies poolside. We know these photos are a little old, but they're just too hot for us to resist posting, especially since the first season of Gossip Girl had its big finale last night. As for their real life romance, Penn recently admitted, "Obviously, there's chemistry there. She's a great girl." We're already bummed about having to wait until August for more episodes, so hopefully Penn and Blake can keep things exciting for us all Summer long.

Spotted: Gossip Girls and Boys Hit The Hamptons

Blake Lively and Leighton Meester broke out their beach bodies as Gossip Girl started filming in the Hamptons today. The girls looked fashionable of course as Blake traded in her casual preppy personal style for a more flashy gold cover up, while Leighton kept warm in a bathrobe over her one piece. Penn Badgley joined in on the fun in the sun, so either he can't bear to part from his real life girlfriend or we can look forward to seeing what happens next between Dan and Serena. One thing is for sure; Nate is going to have an interesting romantic development when the show comes back on September 1. Even Blake's adorable puppy Penny got to hang out on set, though hopefully she was on better behavior than yesterday.

Blake Dishes on Dating Gossip

In lieu of getting our Gossip Girl fix on TV this week, we have to catch up on the real life rumors the co-stars are facing. Blake Lively donned her designer Chanel gown last night to the Nuit de Diamants gala. It's not our favorite dress but we'd love to re-create her uptown makeup look. At the event Blake partied alongside alleged boyfriend Penn Badgley but she is avoiding the romance rumors, saying, "Everybody always tries to dig into your personal life or create things that aren't there... it's silly." That doesn't sound like an outright denial and we heard they were close-talking, so we're going to hope that Serena and Dan are enjoying a real-life romance - just like Summer and Seth! Besides, a picture tells a thousand words - so you be the judge.

PETA Calls Out Madonna for Wearing Fur

Madonna is no stranger to controversy, and as if she didn't have enough in her life right now she goes out wearing fur. It's tough enough wearing fur these days as a person who's not famous, what with people walking around just looking for someone to dump a red can of paint on. But when a celebrity does it, PETA gets involved and then watch out. Here's more:

Feisty animal rights group PETA is on the Material Girl’s case after Madonna was spotted wearing a chinchilla fur.

Although Madonna doesn’t eat meat, her spokeswoman confirmed that the fur was real, and it’s estimated to have cost $70,000.

“Wearing a coat made of dozens of small, gentle animals certainly got Madonna the attention she so desperately craves, PETA rep Dan Mathews told The Scoop. "But she’s setting a terrible example for her children, who are learning about selfishness and greed rather than compassion.”

Madonna doesn't really seem to care what PETA thinks, she chose to wear fur out on the town with Guy. I guess we know who's going to be on PETA's Worst-Dressed List next year! For more pics just read more
