Scarlett and Courteney Are Lovely Directors With Short Films

Scarlett Johansson and Courteney Cox hit the red carpet together at the Opening Night of LA Shorts Fest '09 in Hollywood yesterday evening. The women brought the short films they each directed and chatted about what it was like to take a turn behind the camera for a change. Scarlett loved making her short, The Vagabond's Shoes, and wants to do more, saying, "It was exciting to be on that side of the camera. I'm hoping it will lead to a feature. I really got to work with the best of the best but in a really short and sweet kind of way. It was the perfect first taste." Courtney first debuted her movie The Monday Before Thanksgiving in front of loved ones like Jennifer Aniston back in October. Last night she talked about getting advice from her friend David Fincher and honing her new skill, "I would love to direct more, it's perfect for my personality. I just like doing it, I think it's great."

Celebrities Get Happy and Bikini-Clad For GLAAD Awards

The GLAAD Media Awards came to LA on Saturday night with another star-studded red carpet. Kathy Griffin couldn't help but show off her "banging bikini bod" yet again when she took the stage to accept her award. Ellen DeGeneres also took home a statue and looked fantastic with Portia De Rossi as they took a moment to talk about their love. Jessica Alba shimmered and smiled brightly while presenting an award and the women of Wisteria Lane supported Marc Cherry when Desperate Housewives won best TV comedy series. Next up, the GLAAD awards hit San Francisco on May 9.

Eva Has an Alluringly Posh Housewife Party

Victoria Beckham offset Eva's dress as the two posed in black and white looking tan and beautiful. Posh seems to be enjoying herself in LA before her exciting upcoming move to Milan. Eva walked around her party chatting with friends like Heidi Klum and smiling with BFF Mario Lopez and Hayden Panettiere. The fire on Desperate Housewives was put out this week, but the cast heated up the night to support Gaby.

Stars Support the HFPA

Aaron Eckhart took a break from all of his superhero red carpets to join other celebrities at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual installation luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The HFPA gave out over $750, 000 in grant money to non-profit organizations and film schools at the event yesterday. Dakota Fanning looked sweet in her short blue dress and Rosario Dawson lightened up the room with her gorgeous smile posing with Mad Men's Jon Hamm. Who knows, maybe one day the kids on the receiving end of the support will be big Hollywood stars too.

ABC All Stars Pose Hands-on-Hips and Party the Night Away

After spending a long day sitting on panels and fielding questions at the TCAs, the ABC and Disney stars got dressed up and hit the red carpet last night. Despite moving filming to NYC, the Ugly Betty beauties like Becki Newton (get her look here) were representing, even with no America Ferrera. Mixing our medical shows, Kate Walsh hung all over Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence celebrating life back on ABC. Nick Lachey didn't have Vanessa on his arm but looked handsome out promoting his High School Musical reality show. Last season ended with a surprise wedding, but the bride still remains a mystery as both Teri Hatcher and Dana Delany were sporting gowns for the afternoon of filming.

Third Time's the Charm For the Mad Men Cast

The cast of Mad Men was out in LA last night to premiere their third season, which starts on Aug. 16. Jon Hamm looked dapper in his Tom Ford suit posing with costar John Slattery, as January Jones smiled in blue and Christina Hendricks struck a pose solo. On the carpet, Jon opened up about how even he succumbs to modern-day advertising, while geek has a few tips for how she'd wire his character. Elisabeth Moss brought along her fiance Fred Armisen, while everyone looked excited to kick off Mad Men mania again.

The Men and the Women Stay Casual at the Spirit Awards

The women at the Independent Spirit Awards looked beautiful but kept things more casual with their shorter dresses for the afternoon event. Anne Hathaway shined in her off-white dress with feminine details as many other actresses showed off their flirty styles. Cameron Diaz rocked the stripes, as did Michelle Williams in her sleeveless dress with pockets. Mary-Kate stood out with her shoulder pads and long sleeves and the award-winning Penelope Cruz - who had a run in with ex Tom Cruise the night before - look perfect in a frilly hemmed brown dress.

Meanwhile, the men ranged from jeans to suits, but still looked handsome as usual. James Franco didn't manage to shave for the event but wore his pinstripes proudly. Aaron Eckhart, Emile Hirsch and Blair Underwood sported the denim look while Mickey Rourke had fun running around the blue carpet chatting with everyone. Piven Feels Punk'd, Tina Loses Her Bag & More From Winners!

After taking the podium, the winners and presenters headed back to the press area to pose with their statues and field all sorts of interviews. Buzz and I were lucky enough to be back in the Press Room during last night's Emmys to catch the victorious in all their glory. Buzz has some of the best highlights from Mad Men, 30 Rock, Colbert, Stewart and more. Piven was the first to win and the first to come backstage where he quickly insulted the reality TV host opening saying he thought everyone was being "Punk'd" and called it a "celebration of nothing." Tina Fey was hilarious as always though she ran into a little trouble losing her bag! She told the room to keep an eye out for it saying, "It's a small purple purse with an iPhone in it with a picture of a naked toddler on it.” Ha. Alec Baldwin quickly dismissed questions about his personal life, but all in all the cast looked like they were having a blast glowing in their win.

When asked about who should play the Obamas, John Stewart answered, "Tina Fey and Amy Poehler." As for the Republican ticket, Stephen Colbert cast McCain with "Don Rickles" and himself as Sarah Palin "because I also have absolutely no business being vice president." When asked if that means he backs Obama, Colbert quickly responded, "Maybe I don’t want [a vice president] to be prepared. Don’t read into my words." The Ladies Pop and Shine on the Emmys Red Carpet

The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night - smiley, happy and healthy. Mary Louise Parker was the most eye catching of all in her bright blue number though you all were fairly divided on the look while Brooke Shields lived up to the name of her show in Lipstick pink. Heidi Klum went dramatic while Eva Longoria was all tied up in a bow with Tony on her arm. Debra Messing was one of Fab's best dressed but what do you think? Newcomer to the awards Mad Men's January Jones is a showstopper already and Buzz and I were lucky enough to catch up with the cast in the press room after the show's big win for Best Drama Series‚ check out all the winners here.
