The Directors Guild of America avoided a strike of their own by reaching a deal with the Association of Motion Picture and Television Producers regarding how they are paid when content is purchased online. Fingers crossed this will pave the way for the Writers Guild to finally come to a similar agreement! - BuzzSugar

Sugar Bits - Release Date For Valkyrie Pushed Back

The release date for Tom Cruise's Valkyrie has been pushed back from July to October 2008, because filming has yet to be completed. This movie has seemed doomed from the start. - Variety
Jennifer Lopez is apparently so "freaked out" by her pregnancy weight gain that she'll be staying out of the public eye until the birth of her child (or children). While we support this hard-working mom-to-be taking it easy, we have a hard time believing she looks anything but glamorous these days. - The Scoop

MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play. Kingston Rossdale Has a Crush on Britney Spears

Gwen Stefani, Kingston, and Zuma accompanied Gavin Rossdale to the K Swiss Celebrity Charity tennis event near Palm Springs yesterday. After a weekend of running around shirtless, Gavin was little more covered up this time in a t-shirt bearing his older son's name. Gwen recently revealed in a radio interview that Kingston is a fan of Britney Spears these days saying, "Any song that comes on, he’ll get pissed if you turn the station. He’ll be like, ‘That's my song! That's my song!' He's really into Britney's songs. He's really into her! He thinks she's really great and cute and he flirts with her and stuff." Wonder if his music taste will change when he hits the road with No Doubt this summer - tickets are on sale now, the best of which are being sold through the venues in an effort to avoid Ticketmaster's fees.

Baldwin Brothers Busted

The lesser known Daniel Baldwin was arrested for cocaine possession in LA last week. It went almost unnoticed but TMZ reported the new tonight.

Then there is the more famous Baldwin brother, Alec, who has supposedly been such a brat that his off-Broadway co-star quit. Maybe Kim Basinger isn't as crazy as he tries to make her sound. The NY Post reports:

Jan Maxwell, who won rave reviews for her performance in Joe Orton's black comedy, wrote in an e-mail to a friend that Baldwin's frequent temper tantrums - including putting his fist through a wall because the air conditioning wasn't high enough - also caused her to fear for her "physical safety, mental health and artistic integrity."

In an interview with The Post yesterday, Maxwell said that while Baldwin can be "very compelling, funny and enjoyable, when something clicks in him, I don't want to be around."

"For her to pin all that on me is unfair," Baldwin said. "You'd think she was on the payroll of my ex-wife's divorce lawyer, pushing every button you could find," he added, referring to his ugly divorce from actress Kim Basinger.

I love his reaction. I don't get the fascination of the Baldwin brothers. I don't think any of them are attractive or talented. Alec is on SNL all the time and he is not worthy of almost holding the record of most appearances on the show (he is right behind Steve Martin).

An Evening With 30 Rock, Featuring Bearded Baldwin

The cast of 30 Rock (well, minus Tracey Morgan...such a diva) gathered in NYC on Thursday for An Evening with 30 Rock presented by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The ladies of the rock, Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski and Katrina Bowden all went for LBDs while Alec Baldwin made a statement with his salt-n-pepper beard. He's so mostly crazy, I can't help but love it. Unfortunately, those Baldwin boys can't keep out of trouble and there is a warrant out for Daniel's arrest after he failed to appear at a Friday hearing in LA. I'm getting ready to miss 30 Rock because this strike isn't over yet, but at least I'll have Werewolf Bar Mitzvah to keep me laughing.

Lindsay, Samantha, and Emmy Stars Celebrate the Night Away

After the highs and lows of the Emmys show the party really got started. For many, the first stop was the Governor's Ball like Heidi in yet another gown before the other bashes. Some were off to the ET/People bash while others went to hear Samantha Ronson spin at Kress nightclub for the TV Guide soiree. Lindsay Lohan came along for the ride and acted as a pillow for Samantha after a long weekend of gigs. Best Dressed candidate Hayden kept posing pretty before tonight's big Heroes return. The Mad Men folks had a lot to celebrate making history with their Best Drama Series win. In the press room the cast were clearly loving every second of it taking photos of each other on their iPhones, Jon Hamm pretending to light a cigarette as an homage to the Don Draper inside him while January Jones talked about how the first season Betty was "imploding" and this season she's "exploding" - and it looks like they all exploded a bit partying the night away with the rest of the television stars.

Actors Show Off Their Actors at SAGs Press Room Party

Tom Cruise wasn't the only one who skipped the red carpet last night, Fool's Gold costars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey presented an award and stopped by the press room but didn't do the outside posing. They didn't have awards to show off, of course, but the night's big winners did. Tina Fey looked a little uncomfortable with her mini actor (so missing Alec Baldwin, boo) while Edie Falco proudly showed off her double fisting skills. Gotta show some love for Javier and the rest of the cast of No Country. Buzz wants to know how you feel about all of last night's big TV and movie winners. I'm thinking that at least a few of these (movie) winners should get used to those award-statue curls because I hear those Oscars are pretty heavy.

Actors Celebrate Each Other at the SAGs

Tom Cruise skipped the red carpet (boo - where was Katie?) and despite the latest controversy, he was there to support his fellow actors in the union last night at the 2008 Screen Actors Guild Awards. Tom presented the best ensemble cast to No Country For Old Men. Other big winners included Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, The Sopranos cast and Daniel Day Lewis who had the most heartfelt speech dedicating his award to Heath Ledger who he said was "unique" and "perfect" when referring to his role as Ennis in Brokeback Mountain. The rest of the show was pretty much business as usual and of course water watch for Angelina Jolie. Although there were no major surprises tell Buzz if you agree with the movie and television honorees.
