Harry Potter Draws a Royal Crowd For the London Premiere

The cast of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince braved the London rain for their premiere yesterday. Helen Bonham Carter showed off her castle purse, though Emma Watson stole the show in her gorgeous gown. As avid fans of all ages - including Guy Ritchie and Rocco - were treated to one of the movie's first showings, here in the states we'll have to wait until next week to check out the latest installment of the franchise.

Even Swine Flu Can't Stop That Harry Potter Magic

Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint took a break from filming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and switched gears for a photo call promoting Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in London earlier today. Rupert had a rough weekend at home with swine flu, but it wasn't enough to keep him from hitting the red carpet with his pals. The franchise's much anticipated sixth movie hits theaters on July 15, which means there's about to be a new Summer blockbuster at the box office.

Emma, Daniel, and Rupert Live Harry Potter by Day and Night

Emma Watson was back to work with her boys Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in London on Sunday. The kids have a long Summer of filming ahead, but soon they'll be spending time together off the set, too. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince comes out July 15th, which gives the boys some time to consult Emma for red carpet style tips - check out her gorgeous recent spread in Elle here.

Daniel and Emma Keep the Harry Potter Magic Alive

Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson took Harry and Hermione to the countryside to film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in Wales yesterday. We got our first peek at the set a few weeks ago but there were a few new additions to the cast this time. Helena Bonham Carter showed off her wizarding skills, though she carried her MacBook between takes instead of a magic wand. The kids have a busy few months ahead of them - in addition to filming, they'll also have to make the rounds for the sixth movie, which opens in July.

MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play. Harry Potter Rules The National Movie Awards

The young stars from the Harry Potter franchise got even more recognition in London this weekend at the National Movie Awards. The award for best family movie went to Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix while Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson took home prizes for best male and female actress. Adorable Emma was very gracious in her acceptance, saying, "I can honestly, honestly say I didn't. I didn't dare to dream. I'm absolutely amazed and thrilled."

As for Daniel, he also said the award was unexpected, and when asked about those James Bond rumors, he said, "It would be weird to suddenly be involved in another big franchise, but hey, it takes a big man to turn down Bond." You guys were split about the subject, so it looks like we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, it seems like Daniel is doing just fine for himself playing Harry.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Hits LA

The Harry Potter kids are all grown up and ready to show the world Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The teenage stars rocked the red carpet at the LA premiere, especially Emma Watson in her up-do, who is just the cutest little movie star ever -- even though her dress looks like it had pills spilled on it. As if you needed a reminder, the movie comes out on Wednesday, excited? As for little Miss Watson, she recently talked to Parade about playing Hermione and what it's like to be a young woman these days:

“There are too many stupid girls in the media. Hermione’s not scared to be clever. I think sometimes really smart girls dumb themselves down a bit, and that’s bad.” Watson admits that there is quite a lot of herself in the confident and bookish Hermione. “I’m a bit of a feminist,” she proclaims. “I’m very competitive and challenging.”

Have I mentioned how great she is? Hopefully with all her stardom, she's able to keep that good head on her shoulders.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Premieres

The grown up cast of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix hit the red carpet in London earlier this week. Are these the same little kids that met on the train to Hogwarts five years ago? Crazy how the time flies. Author J.K Rowling was there as well as Lily Allen, Clive Owen and a few more including Helena Bonham Carter and her deconstructed updo. The movie premieres July 11th and we have a feeling Harry Potter-mania will be in full force that weekend.

The Harry Potter Kids Are All Grown Up

The stars of Harry Potter have definitely grown up a lot since the first film in 2001. Daniel, Rupert and Emma (aka Harry, Ron and Hermione) are now teenagers and getting ready for the premiere of the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. While these three have hit the jackpot as far as child stars go, being a famous teenager also comes with some disadvantages. As much as Daniel loves playing Harry, he admitted that it's hard growing up in the limelight, saying,

"The only things that can be troublesome -- there's a lesser degree of spontaneity in my life ... than there would be in other teenagers. If someone says, 'Do you want to come to this particular club?' it could be hard, because you couldn't just go. You'd have to find out what the place was like first."

Being a child star seems like a lot of pressure, but these three look like they've grown into their fame nicely. We can't wait to see their acting skills when the movie comes out on July 11th!
