Lindsay Dances Her Way Into Another Movie

Lindsay looked as happy as ever partying on the beach in her maxi dress in Malibu this weekend. She even stayed true to her word and her SCRAM by sticking to soda rather than hitting the bottle. Her movie Poor Things may have gotten canned last week, but LL isn't having any problems finding work. People reports she started taking Tango lessons for her rumored next role in a movie called Dare to Love Me about Carlos Gardel, a famous Tango dancer. Seeing as Lindsay has already conquered the art of pole dancing, after this movie we bet she'll be quite the dance expert.

Heath's Family Pays Tribute

The news of Heath Ledger's tragic death has had a few days to sink in, but the sadness of the event still very much remains in our hearts and in the forefront of our minds. Heath's family will be traveling to New York to prepare for funeral services that will take place this weekend, and have chosen to publish their very personal and touching tributes to their brother and son in today's West Australian newspaper. Here is what they had to say:

From his immediate family: "How do we describe our sudden and tragic loss? . . . You were the most amazing individual 'old soul' in a young man's body. You so loved us, as we dearly loved you. As a close knit and very private family unit we have observed you so determined yet quietly travelling in your self-styled path in life, nothing would get in your way . . . no mountain too tall, no river too wide. You dreamed your dreams and lived them with passion and intelligent commitment. We have been priviledged to accompany you on a ride through life that has simply been amazing and through it all, we have loved each other beyond imagination. Your true legacy lives on in beautiful little Matilda, who will always remain in the greatest of care. Our hearts are broken . . . Dad and Ines, Mum and Roger, Kate and Nathan, Rori and Scarlett, Ashleigh, Olivia, Elana and Nadia."
His father wrote: "Heatho'', "Beef'', . . . my beautiful boy, so loving, so talented, so independent, so caring, so young . . . no more chess games mate . . . this is it, couldn't beat you anyway! My body aches for the sound of your voice, our chats, our laughs, and our life and times together. Your truly varied artistic skills, insatiable desire to improve and eclectic abilities set you apart from any other person on the planet . . . it had only just started for you . . . and for us to further enjoy. We were one, in soul and commitment. Just . . . Father and Son. I will love you forever, Dad.''
His mother wrote: "Our darling boy, special in so many ways to all of us. You knew you were so loved. You lived life with courage and daring and we are so grateful for the wonderful times we shared. We will be there for Matilda. Your loving Mamma, Rog and Ash."
His sister Katie wrote: "I can hardly breathe when I try to write this . . . we were the ultimate in soul mates. I feel both my heart and life have been torn apart. I loved our special talks, our daily chats from where ever you were in the world. I especially loved all the precious time we spent together. We were so fortunate to have you as long as we did. You were so many things to so many people, but to me you were just my little brother. There will never, ever be another "Heath'' and I think that in itself is the greatest tragedy. I will continue to talk with you everyday and love you just as if you were here. You will never leave my thoughts "Roast'', ever.''
His sister Olivia wrote: "Heath inspired so many young actors around the world to pursue their dreams. You're my idol, my hero, but most importantly, my loving big brother. I'll treasure every moment we spent together. I love you Heath, I miss you and pray every night you're safe.''

We continue to think of Heath's family and friends during this difficult time. The family has continued to ask for their privacy including not releasing any information on the funeral services as there will be no plans for a public service. May he rest in peace.

LL is Ready to Use Her "Gift" of Acting "The Right Way"

Lindsay Lohan isn't living at Cirque anymore, but she's not ready to leave Utah just yet. Over the weekend she spent more time with her father, and, in typical Lohan family fashion, found some time to give her first post-rehab interview to OK! Magazine. The issue, which includes a revealing interview as well as a photoshoot of her both leaving and out of rehab (naturally), hits stands on Friday. Here are highlights:

On her plans: "I'm staying in Utah until it's time to shoot Dare to Love Me and then I plan on returning to Utah so I can stay focused and avoid other distractions."
On leaving Hollywood all together: "Absolutely not - never! I'm here to stay. My talent is a gift, and I'm going to use it in the right way."
On her second arrest being "rock bottom": "Everything in my life came to a point where I had to make a decision; the arrest that night helped me come to a point where I had to make one."

On who she wants to be around these days: "Good people who have their hearts and their minds in the right places."
On her parents' feud: "I wish it would stop. It hurts when two people you love argue with one another. I don't think any child wants to see their parents argue or see their family fall apart. Unfortunately, it happens, and when it does, they should do it with as little effect on their children as possible."
On how it was in rehab: "sobering" and "humbling. It made me look at myself, and all of the people, places and things in my life in a different way. I was in there for substance abuse, after all."
On the fear of relapse: "If I wasn't (worried), I'd be living in denial. Temptation is always there, but now I'll avoid it the right way."

For all her mistakes Lindsay has always struck me as a smart girl - so hopefully she means all of this. You all thought that she should stay away from Hollywood for a while longer, and it sounds like that might just be what she does. That is, unless a little time filming in L.A. is too enticing for her to return to Utah. Fingers crossed that's not the case.

Lindsay and Riley Grab Coffee, Pizza...Lingerie?

It's three days into Riley Giles' introduction to the paparazzi and it's good to see that he's both holding up okay and seems to be not overly loving the spotlight. Let's hope that he stays a good, solid guy for LL (at least for a bit) and doesn't decide this is his chance to become a star. Yesterday the fresh young couple did what they seem to do best - shop and dine, stopping off at Starbucks, California Pizza Kitchen...and Victoria's Secret together. Saucy. Lindsay is supposedly due back in L.A. on Monday to start filming Dare to Love Me, I wonder if she'll bring her Wu-Tang loving sidekick with her? Judging from how joined at they hip they seem these days, I'd guess yes.

Lohan Gets A Little Moody

It was another weekend full of costume changes and shopping for Lindsay Lohan. She was pretty cheery in her cute white dress (love it) on Saturday afternoon with some friends and grumpy on Sunday. It was a pretty quiet weekend for LL (if being followed by a swarm of paparazzi can ever be considered quiet), but it sounds like there's no question that you like the new, clean Lohan. She said she would be heading back to Utah when she finishes up filming Dare to Love Me so obviously she's gotta get all her shopping in beforehand. Wouldn't want to return without a whole new wardrobe, natch.

Lindsay Is a Pretty Busy Blonde Bee

After her surprise call into a Vegas radio station on Friday morning, the all grown up Lindsay Lohan went about her normal routine all weekend long. You know how it goes, shopping, hair salon, more shopping, selling photos of herself to magazines. Her new boy (who is already a bit of a blabbermouth) was nowhere to be seen, but she was out to dinner at Katsuya on Friday with blech sleazeball JR Rotem. Hopefully it was strictly business (he seems like bad news) and her shyness on her way out of dinner was just because she didn't feel like having the flashes in her face and not a sign that she's up to any of her old shenanigans. Whatever happened to moving right back to Utah as soon as possible after wrapping Dare to Love Me? I guess she's hard at work on that new album now, but methinks she's back to being a bit addicted to the LA attention.

Lindsay's First Love Is Her Leggings

It was a typical day in LA for Lindsay, except this time around she left her boyfriend Riley at home. Luckily she had the other love of her life to keep her company, those leggings. LL likes wearing them so much that she kept them on for a little shopping trip on Robertson after working on her dance moves for Dare to Love Me yesterday. While we always appreciate the fact that she's wearing pants at all, we expect more from the starlet, especially since we know how fashionable she can look when she wants to.

LL Focuses on Her Work

Lindsay Lohan spent yesterday rehearsing on the set of Dare to Love Me and off the set taking a break from shooting her movie, Jones Soda in hand. You all seem pretty divided about whether Riley is just bad for LL, or she is just as bad for him, but to me, he seems like bad, bad news. Maybe someday if she wants she'll have an actual healthy and stress-free relationship? Hopefully she's able to stay happy and clean all by herself and without the help of any guy, Naturally after her work on set, it was off for a little retail therapy. She might have been out of the Hollywood job loop for a while, but more importantly she's got months of shopping to make up for, after all.

Is Lindsay's Resume About to Get Ugly?

Lindsay Lohan has been hard at work filming Dare to Love Me and soon after that she should start work on Poor Things. Beyond that LL's agenda is basically blank, but that might be about to change. Apparently there are rumors on the set of Ugly Betty that Lindsay is in talks for a 3 episode stint on the show playing a fallen beauty queen who Betty tries to help get a job at Mode. While for now this is hearsay, we have to say that we're excited about this news - we can totally hear her awesome banter with Amanda already.

Condensed Sugar: It's Amore for Reese and Jake

Rumors about their relationship have existed for a long time, but the photos of Reese and Jake that surfaced this week made their romance impossible to deny. The duo were in Rome to premiere Rendition and during their free time they took in the sights - and each other. Now that they're back in LA, we can't wait to see what happens. Here's what else went down:

As always, it was a big week for Britney Spears. She re-gained visitation rights with the boys, went to parenting class with Kevin but ignored her parenting coach before heading back to court for yet another custody hearing.
Lindsay Lohan spent the week in LA, hanging out with Riley, wearing her favorite leggings, dining with friends, and rehearsing for Dare to Love Me. Her dad thinks Riley is a "good kid" and her mother is gearing up for a reality TV show.
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner started the week off in NYC, where Ben caught Jennifer's Sunday matinée performance, but then he was off to LA for the Hollywood Film Festival where he won Breakthrough Director of the Year. Jennifer and Violet stayed behind in NYC for some mother-daughter bonding.
Tom and Katie left NYC this week for Europe, where Tom premiered Lions for Lambs in London and Rome with Robert Redford. Katie joined Tom on the red carpet in Berlin, where Suri got to play in the park.
Gwen Stefani and Kingston left Prague earlier this week for NYC, where Gwen took her little man for a shopping trip and made time to schmooze with the stylists and perform for charity.
David and Victoria Beckham spent most of this week apart, with David in LA dining and blogging alone and Victoria in London with the Spice Girls until Thursday, when Victoria headed back to LA.
