MLP, Alec, Whoopi, and Daniel Help Everything Come Up Tony

Radio City Music Hall was bursting with stars of the stage last night at the 2008 Tony Awards. The glitz and glamour were everywhere as some of the biggest names in Broadway came together to celebrate each other. Mary-Louise Parker was a highlight as usual, though I'm not sure what to say about the Counting Crows' Adam Duritz on her arm. Instead, I'll just get more excited that Weeds is back tonight! Alec Baldwin always looks dapper all dressed up, while Daniel Radcliffe made a surprise appearance before he makes his (naked) Broadway debut. Whoopi Goldberg - wearing Christian Siriano! - hosted the evening, helping hand out the biggest awards to In the Heights for best musical and August: Osage County for best play. David Hyde Pierce has come out of the closet after being named in Out Magazine's Gay Power List. Wait, was he not already out? - US Weekly
Paula Abdul has been caught on tape crying to a group of publicists that she's been mistreated by her former rep Howard Bragman who, among other things, told her she was too old to be on the cover of OK! She also reveals she has Addison's disease. Sounds like she could use a new rep! - Page Six
Jordin Sparks says that Idol gave her confidence about her weight. Now she says she likes her curves and is comfortable in her own skin. Hopefully the music business won't change that. - People
Page Six is reporting that Michael Bublé struck out while hitting on Emily Blunt the other night at a bar. Apparently someone over there didn't know that Emily and Michael have been dating for years! - Page Six

NPH Entertains an Exuberant Crowd at the Tonys

Neil Patrick Harris donned a shiny tux and a big smile, hosting the Tony Awards last night at Radio City Music Hall in NYC. Broadway veteran John Stamos and newcomer Anne Hathaway were among the stars who stepped out to present awards. Dolly Parton, Stockard Channing and Elton John took the stage, as well as Bret Michaels who injured himself during the big opening number. Liza Minnelli beat out Will Ferrell's George Bush impersonation for Best Special Theatrical Event - see all the winners here - but Will didn't seem to mind as he and the rest of the audience enjoyed a night filled with music and laughter.
