Katie Holmes Brings Her Sexy Smirk to November Elle

Katie Holmes looks fresh-faced and gorgeous on the November cover of Elle. It's the "Women in Hollywood" issue, which, along with Katie, features Emily Blunt, Julianne Moore, Renee Zellweger, and Zoe Saldana. In the magazine, Katie talks a little about what it was like to be a mom working on Broadway as well as what kinds of movies she loves the best. Is someone angling for a cameo in Breaking Dawn? Here are highlights from Katie:

On family life "In my own life, my whole world really revolves around family. I do what I need to do, but it's like, 'How is everybody else doing?' And it's wonderful for me as an actress to put some of that into a character."

On being a working mom on Broadway during All My Sons: "Suri would sit in my lap in the makeup chair. She'd hand the wig lady the bobby pins."

On favorite designers: "I love Alaia, for sure. Stella McCartney. I like Ralph Lauren because I feel like it's very American, and I'm pretty all-American, from Ohio. Isabel Marant and a new designer, Sari Gueron."

On her favorite movies: "It can be any genre. I even like vampire movies – they just have to be well done. I want to believe in the characters. The minute it starts to feel not real, I'm not interested."

Kate Winslet Glows Live From the Press Room!

After a long, winning award season, Kate Winslet finally got her Best Actress Oscar statue tonight. After her sincere and heartwarming speech, we were lucky enough to hear even more from Kate in the press room about finally achieving her dream.

On retiring her own nude scenes and who she wants to "pass the torch" to: This is the one time I feel like reaching for my publicist. . . [ pause] I’m going to go for a woman and be really controversial - Susan Sarandon.
On dreaming of this moment: A dream is a dream. When that dream starts to become a reality the nightmare doesn’t seem to kick in. I just always knew that it was a dream, was a fantasy that probably would never happen. It's only dawning on me now that I won an Oscar. It’s only starting to sink in. Right now actually. Oh my god.
On the win: Did you see my mom and dad? My mom won a pickled onion competition in their local pub just before Christmas and that was a big deal. The Evening Post sent me a picture of her holding up her jar. Well, Evening Post, here’s your next Winslet picture!
On choosing her dress: I thought it was really elegant. I thought my mom would think it's really pretty that’s why I wanted to wear it.
On Sam directing love scenes: To be honest, the very straightforward answer is that he’s used to it. He’d seen me naked before I even met him. The person who was very professional getting through the emotional moments during Revolutionary Road was Sam. I was pathetic. He would turn to me and say you’ve done this so many times before and I said yes, but you’re standing right there, isn’t it a little bit weird.

Loose Lohan

OK so I am playing on Page Six's headline but LL is on the loose in NYC doing what she has become most well known for - partying. Even after mocking herself and her reputation in the opening act of SNL she continues to fuel the fire. Page Six reports:

Lohan partied until dawn following her "Saturday Night Live" gig, witnesses told The Post's Braden Keil. The "Herbie Fully Loaded" star began her evening at an "SNL" after-party in Midtown, then headed to the R&R club at 3:30 a.m., where she was harassed by star-struck fans before being escorted to the VIP area. Others in the crowd included Nicole Richie, Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, who was pounding drinks with local rockers Still Division, and some "SNL" cast members. Early departees included Ja mie-Lynn Sigler and Lydia Hearst.

Sweet Martha

Everyone wants us to think the new Martha is a sweet old lady. Her post prison makeover image is all about a nicer Martha. So far so good for her and her company.

Last nights Apprentice was a solid second place show with 7.65 million viewers. Her highly anticipated catch phrase is "You Just Don't Fit It, Goodbye" and then she writes the contestant a hand written note. As for everything else in the show - it's the exact same at the Trump version. Her daughter, Alexis, and Charles Koppelman are the George and Carolyn who will hopefully become more vocal because they had little personality last night. Why does Charles always have a cigar. Is this his trademark because it's not cool to have an unlit cigar in your mouth in a conference room at 10am. I just don't get it. We won't even got into the fact that one of the contestants lived with his daughter and she also dated his son.

As for the first contestant booted off, Jeff had to go. He was rude and totally bossy, but Dawn and Jim might not last long since their teammates are already getting annoyed with them. As for the other team, Howie kicked ass. I think he'll go far - he even admitted a Martha crush (but asked for it to be kept on the down low). Btw, ad pages are already up. Looks like Martha's new image is working well for Omnimedia.
