Aug 9 2007 - 9:11am Fresh off her endless
Hairspray promotional tour, Amanda Bynes was back on the red carpet at Sushi Samba (
yum, yum) in NYC last night to celebrate
her new Steve & Barry's clothing line, Dear. Just like SJP with
Bitten, Amanda opted to keep her line at the affordable chain so all her little fans can get their hands on her wares. Even though Amanda's been looking more and more like a
generic blonde starlet these days, her spunky personality still separates her from the pack. Obviously she's still very appealing to the younger teen set, too.

I usually think she is funny looking, like in shes the man, but she looks very pretty here.
1I can't stand her...I'm not sure what it is, there's just something about her.
2Love the outfit and she's adorable.
3Aww, she's so cute. At least she's not driving while under the influence and seen out at clubs drinking "red bull".
And I take offense to the blonde comment. Just because she's blonde doesn't lump her in with those scrambling for attention. It's a hair color, it doesn't define who you are as a person or a celebrity.
4She is just adorable, I love her. Great outfit.
5Actually she can drink, she's 21.
6shes cute and all but is it just me or does she look sorta cross-eyed in the second pic
7I like her a lot, but I hate Steve and Barry's clothes. They fall apart the second you get them home.
I think the blonde comment wasn't a strike against blondes, but on how every single starlet in Hollywood looks EXACTLY the same these days. Amanda had her own adorable look and she's hiding it now, in my opinion.
8i think she looked better as a brunette though, like in 'shes the man' movie.
9cute litte black dress & little deer necklace. Seems like everyone is busting out with a clothing line these days. Her line is actually pretty cute =)
10Gosh I am so o.v.e.r. the celebrity clothing line. Yawn.
11Let's not forget she has blonde hair because of her role in Hairspray, but I do hope she goes back to being a brunette.
12Hmmm, ok but the "generic blonde" got under my skin. ha!
13I just thought she always had a weird face like cross eyed sometimes, but even though her hair looks nice she still looks unique. I wasn't trying to knock anything with the hair colors. I think Brunetts are very pretty.
14Oops forgot to add, nobody ever writes "generic brunette".
15I've never been to a Steve and Barry's. I really want to check it out. Is it like Target or Old Navy?
16I've seen generic brunette a lot.
17I like S&B's actual college line. That stuff is the good quality but low prices.
It's their non-college related items that suck. Hard.
18You know I like the length of her hair here, and the streaks are very pretty. Its not just one color.
19LOL! "suck. Hard." that just made me laugh out loud!
20I think she is adorable. She was soo cute in Hairspray. With Britney, Paris, Nicole and Lindsay.. she is one star kids can look up too!!
21I love Amanda ... just like Mandy Moore, she's refreshing and she seems down-to-earth and sweet.
22Yah I love Mandy Moor, she is soo pretty, and I love that she has curves.
23I love Amanda and I absolutely adored her in Hairspray...she was the perfect Penny! I prefer her as a brunette but she still looks gorgeous, plus from what Ive seen in interviews she has an awesome personlaity! Im totally lovin this dress too by the way....super hot!
24I love that dress!!!
25Who doesn't have their own clothing line in Celebland these days? Seriously...
26Oh jmast I was referring to Molly's "generic blonde" comment as well. I'm sure Amanda didn't wake up one day and said to herself I'm going to dye my hair blonde to be just like everyone else in Hollywood. She did it for a role, which I would think Molly might catch on that.
27I really like Amanda, she's really grown up.
28She's adorable, love her in Shes The Man. This movie looks cool.
29Shes not pretty, nothin special...
30I think Amanda is adorable. Mena you have Jessica Simpson on your avatar, I'm not sure what kind of "special" you're looking for but it has nothing going on inside her head except for a good set of Double D's.
31I think Amanda Bynes is adorable! I'm loving her little black dress!!
I totally
disagree with the "generic blond starlet" comment; she plays characters that people can relate to and she doesn't take herself too seriously. She's never on the cover of magazines with a
shocking headline, she doesn't get arrested for DUIs and she's not in and out of rehab like other starlets, so in my eyes, she's good people.
32i think she is muuuuch prettier as a brunette without a spray tan. she's not a great actress and needs to distinguish herself somehow.
33I love how she doesn't pull the party/flashing card to get attention. She keeps things classy, and focuses on her work.
I respect her, and she looks cute!
34i love her! i think she is pretty and talented and she seems down to earth. i hope she stays that way and doesent fall into the club/partying mix!
35i love the dress.. but i dont like her hair color!
36She looks cute! Although in the 2nd picture I feel like her feet get lost in the carpet
37As soon as she stops spray painting herself bright orange I am back on board. She's too cute.
38she looks great
39I really like her...I think she's cute and a great comedic actress. And I love her dress here!
40I love her, didn't know she had a line comign out!
41I heart Amanda.
42I like Amanda Bynes; in a crazy celeb world she seems like one of the few normal stars. I think she looks great; the blonde works well on her.
43Amanda Bynes never seemed to get past the Nickelodean style acting she picked up. Plus every character I've seen her play is played the same way-annoyingly and over the top. Yech.
44okay Steve and Barry's could become my new favorite store!!
45i love her!
46I think she is way cute.
47I used to think she was super-cute, but girl needs to lay off of the shimmer powder and bronzer. She's looking a little too cabbage patch doll meets oompa loompa in the face.
48I really like Amanda Bynes!
49I really like her. She does seem very down to earth and not at all the diva princess that so many have turned into.
