Eva Longoria stood out in in her splashy teal top on the set of Desperate Housewives in LA on Friday, before switching into something more comfortable on the way home. She had some time off last month to travel with Tony, but now that her show is back on the air she's got a season to shoot. Last Sunday got us right back in the swing of things with all their exciting fashion and a new housewife, so we'll have to see what Eva's Gaby has up her sleeve this year starting with another new episode on tonight.

Eva Longoria paired her fancy frock with comfortable flip-flops on her way to the set of Desperate Housewives in LA yesterday. She and her costars have been back on set for a few weeks now, but Eva's still managed to keep her social life active, including hosting parties for friends and joining fellow actors at a luncheon this week. As usual, even when she was at work Eva stayed connected with her BlackBerry, juggling her script and coffee as she set off for another day as Gaby.

Wedding Bells Are Ringing For the Desperate Housewives

The ladies of Desperate Housewives were reunited on set yesterday in LA. Marcia Cross was decked out in navy blue as prim Bree, while Eva Longoria went bright in a typical Gabi hue. Felicity Huffman chatted with her onscreen husband Doug Savant, while newcomer Drea de Matteo brought her daughter Alabama to check out the scene. Last season ended with a surprise wedding, but the bride still remains a mystery as both Teri Hatcher and Dana Delany were sporting gowns for the afternoon of filming.

Eva Longoria took advantage of the warm Autumn in LA yesterday wearing a maxi dress to lunch - get her look here. After celebrating the new Blackberry last week, she stayed true to the brand as she texted away. After last week's episode of Desperate Housewives we thought we might get a chance to see Eva glammed up again on-screen, but based on how she was dressed back on set, we might have to wait awhile before Gaby gets another makeover.

Eva Longoria was back on the set of Desperate Housewives yesterday showing off more of that hot wardrobe she sounded so excited about. While we know what to expect from her character's look this season, everyone's still wondering about Eva's real life family including DH creator Mark Cherry who says she's "desperately trying to get pregnant." Eva is busy enough as is - for example this week alone she already hosted an event in Vegas with Tony Saturday, a charity dinner at Beso on Sunday, and then her celebrity BFFs the Beckhams and the Beckinsale Wisemans on Monday - sounds like her plate may be even more full with what's to come.

Gaby Gets Desperate While Eva Is Tony's Housewife

Eva Longoria was looking a little unpolished yesterday, but don't worry - it's just a part of Gaby's new look in the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives. Eva smiled and joked around with her on-screen hubby Ricardo Chavira and co-star Shawn Pyfrom while filming the show in LA. While we wait for the ladies of Wisteria Lane to come back in the Fall, in an interview with Latina magazine, Eva admitted that she herself enjoys playing housewife to Tony and more. Here's more:

On her marriage with Tony: "The wedding was absolutely magical. I wish I could have a wedding every year . . . I'm a 1950s housewife. I love baking. I love sewing. Being home with Tony. My mother was like that. Always took care of her husband. I always admired and wanted to do that . . . I make everything. His favorite dish is lemon pepper chicken with a lemon pasta sauce that I make. He could eat that everyday. I'm a big cook."
On her childhood: "We weren't allowed to eat out. My dad refused to let us eat at restaurants or fast food. Our big treat was Domino's pizza. We would sneak out and go get pizza . . . I paid for my cheerleading and everything [by working at Wendy's for six years]. It was like whatever you want to do outside of school, you have to pay for it. I never had a car because I was always trying to save."

On beginning her career: "I love pageants. In Texas, it's like the culture. If you're a woman, you have to do pageants. If you're a boy, you have to be a football player. In my pageant package, I won a trip to Hollywood to compete in a talent competition. And I said, I'm going to go. It would be fun to go for a week to Hollywood. So I came, and I never went home. I fell in love with L.A. I happened to become an actor and it was really all so fast. I didn't even go home to pack. I had my mom send my clothes. I never went back. "

Even if she can often be a bit much, sometimes we can't help but be won over by this former beauty queen's endearing quotes.

Eva's Tony Would Rather Show His Support From the Sidelines

Only Desperate Housewives' Gabrielle Solis would dare head to the grocery store in this little turquoise number, which means the show is officially filming new episodes again in Los Angeles. Eva has been pulling double duty with her TV role and restaurant lately, and it must be hard to spend so much time away from her man. As it turns out, Tony isn't big on the Hollywood lifestyle and according to one source, "he's not unsupportive, just uncomfortable in the show-biz environment." Hard to believe coming from such a big sports star, but luckily Eva seems to do just fine partying it up with her other friends and co-workers.
