The Berlin Film Festival kicked off last week, and there have already been plenty of glamorous events. Diane Kruger brought two fashionable looks to the red carpet, while Angelina Jolie promoted In the Land of Blood and Honey with multiple appearances. Brad Pitt even got in on the fun in a Dolce & Gabbana suit at Saturday night's premiere of Angelina's directorial debut. Diane Kruger wore a striped top and polka-dot skirt from the Alessandra Rich Spring collection in Berlin yesterday. She paired the prints with a fun jaguar clutch from Judith Leiber. Diane has brought out multiple fashionable looks during the Berlin Film Festival, including a dramatic Giambattista Valli and a unique 10 Crosby by Derek Lam skirt and dress combo. Her movie Farewell, My Queen is in the running for the festival's grand prize, the Golden Bear. Helping to decide which film takes home the top honor is Jake Gyllenhaal, who is a member of the jury. Also on hand for the German event are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, since they stepped out to premiere In the Land of Blood and Honey together today.

Diane Kruger Picks a Dramatic Look For Her Royal Debut

All eyes were on Diane Kruger as she made her way down the red carpet at tonight's Berlin Film Festival premiere of Farewell, My Queen. She began the day at a photocall wearing a colorful look from 10 Crosby by Derek Lam and chatted with press, in her native German, about director Benoît Jacquot's dramatic Marie Antoinette tale. She spoke freely about the project, and even addressed the movie's over the top fashion. Diane said of the wardrobe, "I personally hate historical films where people just look at dresses and hair. . . I had to forget that to do the film. . .You need to see the woman Marie Antoinette, not just the queen."

For tonight's screening Diane went for a bolder look and turned up the sparkle factor in a beaded Giambattista Valli Couture gown, jeweled Judith Leiber clutch, and edgy cuff earrings. Diane and boyfriend Joshua Jackson are one of our favorite red-carpet pairs, and they're right at the top of our pre-Valentine's Day list of Hollywood's cutest couples. He couldn't be with her tonight, but she did have the company of the film festival's director, Dieter Kosslick.

Diane Kruger Gorgeously Gets the Berlin Film Festival Started

Diane Kruger kicked off the Berlin International Film Festival fun this morning at a photocall for her new movie Farewell, My Queen. She wore a 10 Crosby by Derek Lam look, which features a skirt worn over a dress. Her French-language picture, which is based on the story of Marie Antoinette during the French Revolution, comes from director Benoît Jacquot. Diane actually stars as Antoinette, opposite Léa Seydoux as her lady-in-waiting. The movie is one of eighteen in contention for the festival's top honor, the Golden Bear. Benoît recently spoke about casting Diane Kruger as Marie Antoinette. He said, "I wanted a foreigner and Diane happens to have similar roots to the queen; she is blond like her and about the same age . . . [Diane had a] desire for this role that was so passionate that she was irresistible to me."

Diane Kruger and Vanessa Paradis made the rounds at Paris's annual Sidaction benefit, proceeds of which go toward AIDS charities. The event, now in its tenth year, is one of the social centerpieces of Couture Fashion Week, and Diane and Vanessa have both been busy shuttling between shows and parties over the last few days. Yesterday, they caught up with friends like a Nina-Ricci clad Clémence Poésy, model Anja Rubik, and designer Christian Louboutin. Diane wore a lacy Erdem gown, while Vanessa was decked out in sequined Chanel.

The front row duties have been mixed in with interviews for Vanessa. She's simultaneously talking up her new movie Café de Flore, which came out in France earlier this week. While making the press rounds, she addressed the recent rumors about a split with longtime love Johnny Depp. Vanessa called the stories "false," hopefully putting an end to the latest round of speculation about their romance.
