Sienna Joins Mickey and Freida For a Party With Style

The British fashion crew was out in London last night to celebrate each other at the Elle UK Style Awards, the theme of their March issue. Thandie Newton paid some extra attention to Mickey Rourke, who was honored along with Freida Pinto for acting. The issue's cover girl Gwyneth Paltrow couldn't make it to the event since she was still in LA recovering from the Grammy celebrations. The night's big winner was Sienna Miller with the Style Icon award, a title that was last year presented to Kate Hudson. It's some consolation for losing her role in Ridley Scott's Nottingham, especially now that the part is said to be going to Cate Blanchett.

Do You Want to See Gwyneth and Chris at the Grammys?

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are known for their love of privacy, but in a new interview with Elle UK, she opened up a little about their relationship. Despite the recent stories about trouble in their marriage, Gwyneth had nothing but praise for her husband. She said:

On his writing songs to help her grieve for her father: "It's so hard for me to listen to some of those songs . . . I'm amazed he stuck with me [at the time her dad died], because I was a wreck. I can't believe that he did."
On appearing together in public "It doesn't behoove us to be a public couple . . . He certainly doesn't want to be that. We've never ever walked down a red carpet together, we never will. If people think that that means we're not together, then – ha ha ha! – so be it."

Even though she's pretty adamant, there are still rumors that Chris and Gwyneth will appear together at this Sunday's Grammy Awards. So, tell us - would you like to see them together at the Grammys?

Sienna's Sweet Secret to Success

Between the engagement rumors and the baby talk, a lot seems to be happening for Sienna Miller. The actress sat down with Elle UK to clear the air on a variety of topics, from her relationship with Rhys to taking over for Lindsay Lohan at the last minute in The Edge of Love, and her new friendship with Keira Knightley. Here's more:

On being with Rhys: "I don’t know why people find it so unlikely. We started out as friends and then it just slowly, slowly developed. I don’t think either of us was expecting it, but it truly has been the most wonderful thing. I totally love Rhys but most of all, he’s my best friend. He’s my greatest friend."
On her insecurities: "Oh, God, people always get the wrong impression of me. I’m so not perfect. My top half is looking pretty good at the moment because, for the first time in my life, I’m exercising, but you should see my bum. It wobbles when I walk. Seriously. I have a lardy arse. I have days when I wake up, look in the mirror and go 'yuk'. And I totally have bad hair days – why do you think I own so many hats?"
On taking over for Lindsay: "I freaked out. I had absolutely no time to do all the research I wanted, so a lot of the acting was instinctive. I loved the idea of Caitlin and I loved the idea of working with Keira. I was actually pretty nervous about acting alongside her because my part required me to put on weight. I just stuffed my face for the months that we were in production. It wasn’t hard for me. We were staying in this incredibly eccentric Welsh manor house. I had huge fry-up breakfasts, pasties for lunch and lots of toasties. ‘Then I had to face seeing myself alongside Keira, who is the most beautiful woman in the world. Luckily she is also one of the nicest. We totally bonded on the movie and it was so amazing to find a girl friend in this business. We are actually quite similar."

On Rhys as a boyfriend: "Rhys is incredibly romantic. Way more than I am – and I am pretty romantic. Rhys just takes everything to the next level and does so many unexpected things. He bought me a broomstick as a present because he thinks I’m a white witch, but probably more because it was Halloween. It’s typical Rhys. His greatest quality is that he makes me laugh. Not just a little laugh – he can completely floor me laughing. And he’s the best cook ever. His cooking completely reflects his personality; he does these mad, quirky dishes that taste completely wonderful, like carrots poached in mandarin juice. Our lives revolve around food."
On marrying Rhys: "See. No ring. It’s so embarrassing when these stories come out and that your relationship has been somehow fast-forwarded. We both had our mums on the phone. It’s just awkward. But I’m so happy with our relationship as it is. It has always been incredibly easy and uncomplicated and those stories make for complications that just don’t exist."
On having babies: "I was incredibly broody a while ago, but it just passed. My sister, Savannah, is pregnant again and I’m incredibly excited about that, but I’m 26. I don’t want a baby just yet. Definitely some time in the future, but not right now."
On her secret to success: "The big, big thing I’ve discovered, the big secret, is that it’s all about how happy you are. It’s the ultimate thing. People forget your flaws and imperfections if they see you’re happy. And I’m incredibly happy right now. Probably happier than I’ve ever been. It’s happiness that makes you glow,’ she laughs. ‘Oh, and maybe just a little touch of fake tan!"

It's great that Sienna finally found a guy who treats her well, and she sounds so happy but she definitely has some work to do if she wants to convince us that she's ever been in bad shape.

Kate Talks Fashion and Friendship to Elle UK

After being crowned an official Style Icon earlier this month at the Elle UK Style Awards, Kate Hudson is on the cover of the magazine's April issue. Hot stuff, right? Naturally, Elle UK asked about her thoughts on fashion, but Kate also opened up to them about the unusual relationship she shares with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson, and her desire to wear as little clothing as possible. Sassy, too. Here's more:

On her own personal style: "I love clothes! But I would never put something on just because it's high fashion. . . I like people to have personal style. . . I'm not into the trampy look. I like to mismatch. I like a look that is not too thought out!"
On keeping in shape: "I've always been a dancer. I took ballet from the age of three to 13, then got into jazz dance. Now I have a dance instructor several times a week and I do Pilates."
On showing off her figure: "I plan to wear as little as possible for as long as I can. . . I know I won't have this body forever, she says. and I would like to have another child some day."

On her relationship with Chris: "The other day I told someone my husband was coming over and they said, 'You mean your ex-husband'. I do love my ex. Whatever man I end up with, I'll always love Chris."

On what she'll be wearing this Spring: "Right now I'm in love with colour! Particularly purple. I just bought a purple Dolce sweater. The other color I love for spring is cobalt blue. And that peachy skin-tone colour."

Kate and Chris seem like super sweet exes, which must make little Ryder happy (and, you know, not that it matters but if she was pregnant he would so get my vote for dad). I also heart cobalt blue. Wonder what Elle UK would have to say about Kate's recent love for baggy is-she-or-isn't-she casual wear?

Kate and the Brits Get Stylish for The Elle Style Awards

Elle UK added to award season madness last night as they handed out their annual Style Awards. Keira Knightley received some consolation after her loss at the BAFTAs with her win in the Best Actress category, while her Atonement co-star James McAvoy got his second Best Actor award in less than a week. Kylie Minogue was crowned Woman of the Year and Kate Hudson brought Stella McCartney as her date to be officially named an Elle Style Icon. Each of these award ceremonies takes us one step closer to the Oscars - so don't forget to fill out your ballot while there's still time!

Selma Is Single and Sassy in Elle UK

Selma Blair didn't hold anything back when she sat down with Elle UK for their March issue. On top of talking about her work, she was brutally honest about being single now that she's split from Matthew Felker. We've always loved Selma the indie fashionista, but it turns out that she's much more than that - she's also a pony lover looking to date a rich older man. Who knew? Here are highlights:

On her marital status: "Yes, I'm single again. I have very little faith that I'll ever find someone. I've had bad luck and I've made some bad choices - not in men, but in how I've chosen to deal with relationships. Maybe I need to date someone older. I've always dated younger men. Not on purpose. I love European men - British men. Maybe what I need is an older, British investment banker. "
On being a fashion icon: "Anyone who wear a brand name on a red carpet is a fashion icon now. It makes me want to not shop. I just shop in my friends' closets and pull things that are not vintage, not chic, not anything."

On why she's not a leading lady: "It's because I look different from most people. I'm really a character actress. I'm willing to play anything. I've probably made it more difficult by not choosing a set path or playing all romantic comedy roles."
And why she's okay with that: "I get cast in character roles because I don't look like a leading lady. Maybe in Europe, I'd be like Samantha Morton or Charlotte Gainsbourg. But I didn't choose my quirky character - it chose me. I don't have the face to constantly radiate leading lady energy. There is only one Reese Witherspoon. There is only one Julia Roberts. I don't fit that mould. And you know what else? I don't want to."
On acting crazy: "I am a loose cannon! It's true. People think I'm drunk even when I'm not - which is why I don't go to clubs in this town. I say whatever I think and most people don't know what to make of it. It's not always cool. I prefer it when someone's not afraid to look like a fool. That's the kind of guy or girl I want to hang with. Someone not so polished."
On her hobbies: "I just landscaped my house, so now I can have parties, although I'm not much of a hostess. I'm pretty reclusive, actually. I love to figure skate. And one of these days, I'm going to buy a horse and go back to riding. I like hotels, like this one. I have to sit outside most places because I always bring my one-eyed Jack Russell, Wink. I pick up stray dogs and find homes form them. And now I'm single, I'm just reconnecting with all my friends. I also love to write, I'm toying with the idea of writing a book."

She's one of the few celebrities who may actually be able to pen an interesting book and until then we'll continue to enjoy her fabulous style and quirky characters. Plus, we always have a soft spot for fellow Jack Russell lovers.

Jennifer Aniston Is Happy but Wants a Little More Action

Jennifer Aniston's beautiful blue eyes really shine on the cover of the April issue of Elle UK. After making Marley & Me a big hit here in the states, she and Owen are now busy promoting their movie all over the world. In the issue, Jen talks about her eating habits, her dream role, and why she can't win with the Brad questions. Here are highlights:

On her divorce:: "No matter what I say, things will always be taken out of context and misinterpreted, will always be turned around to make it seem as though I won’t let something go, or that I just keep talking about it over and over. I don’t owe anybody anything. I don’t owe anybody my side of the story. There are no sides! There is no bad guy and there is no good guy. There are no villains and there is no heroine in this story. It’s just not the case."
On her diet: "I'm a realist. I know that if I eat nothing but burgers and chips, I’m not going to be hired for the parts I normally would. That might be fine one day, but not right now."
On being happy: "I remind myself every day that I am lucky. Look what’s out there. Look what people are really living through. There’s no comparison. I am happy."
On movie roles: "I get offered funny, quirky, pretty roles. I’d love to do an action movie. James Bond! Glamour! Daniel Craig! Sh*t-loads of fun!"

Considering how hot Jen looks these days, we think she'd be a perfect Bond girl kicking butt alongside Daniel Craig in the next 007 movie.

Charlize Shares Her Big Love With the World

Charlize Theron got to show off those seriously hot legs for the August issue of Elle UK in her sexy mini dress and heels. Speaking of how stunning she is Bella had a chance to interview her makeup artist so check out what it takes to create her red carpet looks. Charlize has been all over getting ready for the big opening weekend of Hancock - check out Buzz's review here - but she's got more going on than superheroes. In the article, she talks about body image, her rise to stardom and can't help gushing about her man Stuart. Here are highlights:

On moving to Hollywood: "I left home on my own. It was hard but I had been taught not to feel sorry for myself and to do things on my own. Even at school if me and some friends were in trouble, I would be the only child sitting in the head’s office without a parent. From a young age my mum taught me to look out for myself and deal with my own consequences. She had to give me armor."
On what attracted her to Stuart: "The most amazing thing about Stuart is he got through to me on a level that no one else did. In my life there have been two people who formed me. My mother made me strong and wanted me to be invincible. Stuart made me softer. He was one of the few guys who wasn’t afraid of me. What he saw was not toughness but vulnerability. I am massively vulnerable, and for so long I just worked hard to cover that up. Stuart wasn’t scared to confront that. He is the one man who never worries about kicking me up the backside. It’s a good thing."
On how their relationship began: "At first neither of us would admit to being a couple, but fate kept conspiring to put us together. He left Los Angeles and within a matter of days I had a shoot for ELLE in Paris. We met up afterwards in Dublin. Then he had more work booked in LA. I went out again to his flat in Ireland. It was just a couple of weeks into the relationship but I knew I was falling in love. We had a bottle of wine and just talked and talked. I stood up and said, 'Let’s pack up your stuff and ship everything to LA.' We spent all night packing and that was it."

On love: "I know I have been in love before, but I’ve never been with anyone who was a whole part of me and who was a friend as well as a lover. When Stuart couldn’t get the work he wanted he wrote a screenplay. I read it and was just amazed. He can inspire me and he’s also the sexiest man ever. When I’m going to see him I get all fluttery in my tummy. No matter how much I love working on a movie, the best bit always is when I get to go back home to my sexy Irish guy."
On her looks: "I don’t have hang-ups about the way I look. I can see myself in the mirror when I’m all done up and think I look pretty hot, but I can see myself every day and see this round Dutch doll face. We’ve got so crazy about our faces and our bodies. I guard my privacy partly because I like to keep my head free from all that paranoia. I’m not super-skinny. I have curves and they belong on my body."
On fashion: "As for fashion, I couldn’t ever be a slave. I don’t do scruffy because I can’t do it. It doesn’t suit me. I like clean, classic looks. Just because skinny jeans are in fashion you don’t wear them if they suck on you."
On children: "I’d be delighted if I found out I was pregnant tomorrow. But I’d also be delighted if nothing happened for a couple of years. I know I’m going to be a mother. And Stuart will be our baby’s father. That is something I’m sure of."
On finding happiness: "It’s been a deliberate thing. I needed happiness to resolve my past. Every move I have made in life has been towards making me and my mother happy. Things happen in life and you can choose for them to destroy you. You can choose to be sad. You can choose to be happy. You just have to be determined about it."

Charlize may come across as a tough girl, but it's sweet she's such a huge softie for Stuart. These two seem to really be made for each other, and it sounds like Charlize has plenty to smile about, no matter what happens at the box office this weekend.

Kate and Kurt Keep the World Series Hope Alive in Philly

Kate Hudson was in Philadelphia on Sunday to cheer on A-Rod and the Yankees as they battled the Phillies. Last night her dad, Kurt Russell, was by her side for the latest game, though Alex and his team wound up losing and ending their two-game winning streak. Kate has cleared her schedule to attend the World Series, even canceling her annual Halloween party. She did have a chance to sit down for an interview with Elle UK, in which she opened up about boys, Botox, and even rumors of her engagement to Alex.
