Leonardo DiCaprio hit up the movies with friends in LA on Sunday before returning to set with Ellen Page yesterday. Leo's next few months will involve wrapping up Inception and gearing up to promote Shutter Island early next year, but there's already talks of his next big project. Leo is rumored to be up against George Clooney and Johnny Depp to play Frank Sinatra in Martin Scorsese's upcoming biopic based on the life of the Rat Pack crooner.

Leo Takes a Break From Flirting and Heads Back to Work

Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page were hard at work on the set of Inception in LA yesterday, though this time they skipped out on the formal wear. When he's not shooting, Leo has been keeping his social life typically busy. He was reportedly spotted hitting the dance floor with Melrose Place's Katie Cassidy as rumors simultaneously circulated - and were quickly denied - that he might be involved with Whitney Port. Whoever he's getting cozy with, Leo's not lacking for companionship whether it's a bevy of bombshells or a furry friend.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page looked ready for business on the set of Inception in LA yesterday. The past few weeks Ellen's been spending most of her time out promoting Whip It! with Drew Barrymore, which unfortunately had a rough opening weekend at the box office. Her latest project with Leo, however, continues to create buzz, and it's been announced that the Christopher Nolan movie will be released in IMAX when it hits theaters next year.

Drew Whips Up an Affectionate Star-Studded Premiere

Drew Barrymore was the woman of the night in her tight black dress yesterday at her Whip It! premiere in LA. She had the support of her boyfriend, Justin Long, while pals Kate Beckinsale and Len Wiseman kept her company at the afterparty. Drew's ET director and godfather Steven Spielberg also came out, showing the support he's offered her since she was six. A dressed up Ellen Page, Eve, and Juliette Lewis also hit the red carpet to support the movie, as the whole group of ladies posed together another night after hitting the rink together on Monday.

Drew and Her Derby Girls Whip It Good

Drew Barrymore cozied up with Eve, Juliette Lewis, and Ellen Page last night as they celebrated their film Whip It! at a derby event in LA. Ms. Barrymore has been busy promoting her directorial debut, doing everything from talking about her estranged mother to kissing Ellen Page and hosting SNL. Drew apparently also wanted to act in the movie so that she could be in the trenches with the rest of the female cast, and it looks like they've all come away from the project with a few great girlfriends. The ladies are set to reunite this evening at their big LA premiere - and we'll be covering the event from the red carpet, so let us know in the comments if you have any burning questions for Drew and her costars!

Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page Kiss and Cozy Up in MC

Drew Barymore and Ellen Page teamed up in matching yellow for the October cover of Marie Claire. Inside the magazine, the girls got saucy in their roller skates and kissing for the camera. Ellen has been spending her Summer filming Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio while Drew has been working and playing with her boyfriend Justin Long on Going the Distance.The girls are back together to promote Whip It! talking about their experiences learning roller derby for the movie and what it was like for Drew as a first-time director. Here's more:

Drew on when she decided to direct: "I was 6 years old. That's when I turned in my first script to my godfather. [That would be Steven Spielberg, folks.] He called it Terms of Endrewment - ironically, like Whip It, it was also about a mother-daughter relationship."
Drew about Ellen: "Ellen has such a beautiful body, and I personally battled with my own body image for years. I used to tell myself, You can't wear anything sleeveless or strapless. And all of a sudden I was like, What if I just didn't send such negative messages to my brain and said, wear it and enjoy it? And now I'm more comfortable in clothes than ever."
Ellen on Drew: "I first met Drew at the Chateau Marmont. And it was a surreal moment for me in my life. You could just feel her warmth and kindness immediately, and the way she carried herself was just so grounded. So then it was like, 'Oh, this is going to be great.' And then it went into, 'Oh, my God, I'm really crazy about this person.' It just grew and grew and grew and grew and grew."

Leonardo, Ellen & Joseph Take Their Inception to Downtown LA

Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were back at work on the set of Inception yesterday, this time in LA rather than abroad in Paris or London. The movie is clearly still in the works, but the early buzz and immediate teaser trailer already have people anticipating the release next year. Joseph is enjoying some success this season thanks to 500 Days of Summer while Ellen Page's Whip It! will be out next month. The trio are all taking on something new with this film, though Ellen and Joseph could be reassured knowing that Leonardo has found some great success with action thrillers in the past.
