Zooey Deschanel Talks Being Terrified by Her Sister Emily

On Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, Zooey Deschanel shared the story of how her older sister Emily used to torment her growing up by pretending she was an alien. Zooey explained, "She basically just used the plot of Invasion of the Body Snatchers to terrify me." With her morbid imagination it's no surprise that big sis Emily grew up to become a forensic anthropologist on the crime drama Bones. The Deschanel sisters were the center of attention at last night's Fox Searchlight post-Golden Globes bash. Zooey, who was up for best actress in a TV comedy for New Girl, was decked out in a custom Prada dress, which she paired with a tuxedo manicure! Her sister Emily, meanwhile, wore a navy blue dress. It was Emily Deschanel's red-carpet debut, following the birth of her son, Henry, last September. The Deschanels mingled with Globe winners Claire Danes, who was crowned best actress in a TV drama for Homeland, and best supporting actress in a TV series, American Horror Story's Jessica Lange. Fox's own Glee star Matthew Morrison made the rounds too - check out who else turned out for the bash!

The Winter TCA is underway outside LA, and last night was Fox's turn to show off their talent and upcoming shows. The Golden Globe nominated cast of Glee attended last night's party, and Cory Monteith took a moment to chat with Buzz about his new Funny or Die video and working with Gwyneth Paltrow. Bones duo Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz dropped in on the party, as did Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein from the medical drama House. Cory's costars Chris Colfer and Matthew Morrison were back together this morning to join Conan O'Brien and How I Met Your Mother's Jason Segel and Neil Patrick Harris for the Funny Men in TV panel.
