Emmeline was too adorable in her one-piece, and apparently the little one has a love for Paul Frank. Christian's been spending a lot of time hitting those red carpets for Public Enemies, but he's not about to miss out on Emmeline's Summer milestones.

Does Christian Bale's Rant Still Affect Your Feelings Toward Him?

Christian Bale carried his daughter Emmeline's backpack and jacket as he and Sibi picked her up at school earlier this week. When he's being a family man, it's hard to associate Christian with the infamous rant that got him in so much trouble earlier this year. He's supposedly avoiding doing press for Terminator Salvation because he doesn't want to be asked about it. When he apologized at the time most of you forgave him but it's still a topic on everyone's mind. He recently talked about it to Esquire UK saying:

"It’s not excusable what I did. I went way overboard. A lot of it was to do with the scene we were doing and stupid as it may sound to a lot of people, my character was going through a great deal in that particular scene. The person on the receiving end is a grown man. Believe me, he really wasn’t fazed by it. . . Like I said, I had it coming. It should never have been recorded. It was recorded for jollies. But I’m not trying to cover up. So there’s not embarrassment in that I wanted to keep it hidden. I’d done it in front of a whole lot of people. I take full responsibility for it. I’ve never said anything different. I’m not blaming it on anything. I took it a bit too far."

Christian and Emmeline Head in to Practice Tumbling

Christian Bale's daughter Emmeline held on tight to dad as they headed in to gymnastics class in LA yesterday. Bale seems to make sure he spends as much quality time with his daughter as possible while he's not tied up filming or promoting around the world. With two Summer blockbusters coming up, one place Christian Bale doesn't need any help getting support is round one of the PopSugar 100. He is handily beating Mary-Kate Olsen, but we'll have to wait and see if he fares as well when he's up against the winner of Ben Affleck vs. Charlize Theron.

The fallout from his famous rant must have made for a roller coaster few days but after he finally offered a heartfelt apology Christian is on his way back into his fans good graces. Bale's sister Sharon took the chance to talk about her brother saying, "he might need help," but for now everything looks happy with the two most important women in his life.

Christian Bale scooped up Emmeline and stepped out in LA to run some errands with Sibi on Saturday. With award season around the corner, we'll be hearing a lot more about The Dark Knight over the next few months. There's already buzz about Heath's Golden Globe nomination, and most of you agree that the film is both the best action movie and best dramatic movie of the year. Christian Bale spent a low-key weekend around the neighborhood with his girls. On Saturday he and Sibi had their own celebrity sighting when they ran into Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver at the Brentwood Country Mart in LA. Sunday, Christian played the perfect doting dad to Emmeline, who looked too precious in her Small Paul blue robe as they strolled down the street holding hands, and yesterday Christian and Sibi were spotted at a garden party together. The Dark Knight continues to hold its own, but it looks like Christian would rather spend the weekend being a family man than thinking about those box office stats.
